Brought a vehicle in for overheating on Jan 25th, it took them three days to replace a fan clutch and a thermostat firstly (claimed their tech would be out for a day and that there was NO ONE to work on it). I went back when I was told it was done on the 28th and there "was an issue with the water pump and that it was visibly leaking". The visible leak was nowhere near the water pump, and was from the thermostat housing they installed. I incurred transportation costs and lost time at work because of their delays. A salesperson even agreed with me that it was the thermostat. They didn't call me back until the 3rd, although they claimed to attempt to reach me the day before (I'll take their word on it). They said they put a new thermostat on it. Now, I called corporate on Jan 30th because of the delay, and then added on all the problems about them misdiagnosing my vehicle and trying to make me spend an extra $400 for an unnecessary timing chain service to reach the water pump. They called back on the 2nd asking for more information, which I provided. I simply wanted a partial refund for all the hassle this shop has put me through to offset the costs of an unacceptably long delay. (A DIYer can do the thermostat and fan clutch on this vehicle in an afternoon). Corporate proceeded to call me back on February 9th, defend the actions of the mechanic (even the salesperson had a few choice words for the decision making of this mechanic on-site), say the water pump was necessary because "manufacturer recommends it to be serviced by then" (diagnostics did not even bring up the water pump until the leak happened), and that they would not be helping me with this. The representative had a very condescending tone and seemed to only be defending the company instead of making things right with a customer they wronged. In a separate incident in their Anderson location, my father had to physically go into the shop and spin the wheel of his truck for the tech to hear the wheel bearing because they didn't believe the wheel bearing was the problem - because the computer said it wasn't! Tire Discounters has, on multiple occasions, locations and against multiple people, repeatedly shown to have terrible customer service, techs that should not be working on vehicles and so-called 'professionals' with worse turnaround times than someone untrained could do with a youtube video and with higher standards. I will never go to Tire Discounters again and I will actively encourage anyone that I know of to not go there. read more

However, they reset all my maintenance reminders to go off early at 4k miles when I previously had them set at 5k for full synthetic oil and 7k for my tire rotation. They may have had good intentions, giving a warning before the service was actually due, but they did not mention the alteration to me. read more

Used the pickup and delivery service and that worked fairly well. Had the car in for a routine oil change and then ending up replacing a tire that was losing air. I no sooner got in the car after it was returned, drove to the end of the street and get a warning there's something malfunctioning in the headlight system-and sure enough, my right headlight is acting like a strobe and won't turn off. Take it back there (a distance of less than 2 miles) and of course got the "Well, it was fine when it left and we didn't work on the headlights" bullshit. COME ON. Truly unprofessional! Had an appointment at 9am and was told the tire replacement would take an hour. Some two hours later, it's not done because the tires weren't here. No call, no apology! Horrible customer service and the manager behind the counter wants to blame it on others. Also it works best when your staff is trained on your products. I have a staggered fit X5. I paid 2800, for brakes and rotors to be replaced. Picked up the truck, started it. Everything was fine. Made it out of the parking lot and .2 miles down the road and when I pressed the brakes. I had none. Used the parking brake to stop. Came back, they told me I was last in line, and it would be at least a day before they got it done. Even though I had already paid and was given all paperwork saying the work was done. Would strongly advise against this place. I've purchased (8) sets of tires for (4) of our cars there as the service has always been good. Recently we went to purchase tires as part of their Black Friday special. I received an email stating $125 off instantly. I had been tracking tire prices and their tire price on Pirelli P4s mysteriously jumped from $102 to $130 each - effectively they were jacking up the price to offset the Black Friday "Sale". We ended up buying tire and the manager gave us an additional $48 off to help offset the price jump and after bringing the issue up with Customer suppor they sent an oil change coupon. Heres the kicker though: Subsequently I have tracked prices and have discovered that tire prices on the same tire can vary as much as 25% from one Tire Discounters to another. Union Center and another location in West Chester get $130 for a 15" Pirelli P4. The location on Route 4 is charging $105 - A price difference of almost 24%. The locations are 3.7 miles apart. As a consumer who would ever think that prices varied by 24% between locations down the street from each other. An analysis of locations within our area reveals that of 8 locations, 4 have the same tire at $105, 3 have the tire at $130 and one location $128. This particular unit is the best (I have dealt with Tire Discounters since it was started on Wooster Pike in the 80's and always buy my tires from this company) ! This particular unit is always busy, Friendly and takes care of my Family with Tires (we have 6 vehicles in out family). They found two nails and took care of me fairly quickly (they were really busy). And for you to check - my daughter in law showed up there - because that is where my son told her to go (not the one closer to where they live). She had an Oil Change, Tire Rotation appointment. They informed her that her Struts were leaking and should be replaced. They took care for her the same day! We were both very happy - this was last Saturday - 15th of October. Horrible employees looking to take advantage of people. I blew a tire on the highway and called them to ask if they could replace my blown tire which they said they could (no questions asked nothing). waited 2.5 hours for my tow to show up, i finally get to TD and walk inside while the tow driver begins the unload. I nodded at multiple employees as I'm walking across the parking lot, and go in to an empty front lobby, I stared at two employees joking and cutting up through the window while waiting. I look out and see the tow is finished offloading my van (about 7 minutes of waiting inside an empty lobby staring at two employees who were oblivious) so I walk out to go thank the tow driver after which the guy I had been staring at comes running out saying he was "sorry he hadn't seen me". then started walking around my vehicle literally giggling because it was AWD and he couldn't just do the one. I told him no just the one, and he said he couldn't due to company policy, I asked for corporates phone number, he laughed and said I could talk to his gm. told me there was nothing they could do and nothing I could do since the tow had already left. I told him to F off and that I'd figure something else out. called the Midas down the street and they agreed they could get me taken care of but couldn't come swap the wheel on TD parking lot since it would cause bad blood between them which I understand. went back up and requested the gm to let him know about the crap service his employees were providing and he told me it was my fault that I should have known I couldn't have one tire swapped on an AWD (this is a new van to me, I know my parents in law had done 2 tires at a time, and I literally just had a shop in Fl replace 1 after a blow out) and that his employee already apologized to me since he said he was sorry he didn't see me. gm totally oblivious to all of the other stuff that was so wrong here. pointed out that his employees failure to see the giant flashing tow truck, and the guy wandering around their lobby while staring at him through the window left me screwed since he waited until the tow left. felt like they thought that they could trap me and then screw me for wayy more money than necessary. i went to midas and had them do all 3 of the other tires because they acted like actual service professionals not predators read more

Had a tire blow out on me on interstate 275 at night, so we stayed in the area and took the car to the nearest tire shop, which happened to be this one. The store opened at 8 am, and we were the second customer there. They quoted us a time of an hour and a half so we left with a family member and got breakfast and by the time it was over it had been almost two hours, and we had heard nothing from them. So we went to the shop and not only was it not done, but they hadn't event started on it yet. They had put other cars in front of us. Now i understand that sometimes things take unexpected turns and what not, but if you will be going out of the quoted time you should really call the customer to notify them that it would be taking longer than expected. Once the vehicle got in there, however, the tire service was quick and they did a great job at an affordable price. I just have an issue with the customer service at this location. It's okay for an emergency stop, but I don't believe I woudl have regular servicing done here. read more

Had a very poor experience today at Kenwood TD. Dropped off flat tire yesterday at 5pm. They didn't have time to fix it, even though they were still open for an hour and only one car was in the garage. I understood and agreed to pick up today. Got a call it was done. Went in to get it and I asked them to mount it back on car. Was told it would be a 35min wait. I had an appointment elsewhere so I couldn't wait. Asked if I could make an appointment to come back today for them to mount it. They said NO, they don't take same day appointments. These guys always take really good care of me every time I come in there! Had a tire and wheel issue today on my F550 and I decided to order new wheels since they were just stock steel wheels. One of the tires was blown out so they replaced all the tires for and then we ordered the wheels too. Nice thing is they're not charging me to remount and rebalance the tires when the new wheels come in which I thought was pretty nice! They also worked with me on the price of the tires and the wheels! Best of all though they got my truck in and out in just a couple hours!!! What started off with requesting a quote for new tires and getting a plug turned into a nightmare! Still a month later, no quote - which obviously we don't want to do business with them at this time. However, when we requested a balance correction on our tires, they broke the sensor in one of the tires; the truck has been shaking for over 3 weeks; they acknowledged it immediately and said they would fix it.... WELL - Coy, the store manager and Anthony who also answers the phone - has no professionalism or customer service. Stated they would call when the part came in. At this time, no phone call back to numerous calls - again 3 weeks later. We call, they do not answer our number or put us on hold and never pick up. When Anthony answers the phone "Coy, is busy with a customer, but will call you back" - never happens. We have escalated this up to the regional at this time. We do not want them working on our truck however feels it warrants a review due to the total unprofessionalism and lack of follow through. I rarely do reviews, especially when they are so negative, but I feel so sick about my experience that I feel it absolutely necessary to say something. I have gone to this tire discounters so many times over the years for routine maintenance, repairs and tires. I have always felt they were an honest company with fair, reasonable prices. However, all of this changed after my experience last night. I dropped my car off yesterday during my lunch break for an oil change and I asked them to do a brake inspection because they had been feeling jumpy lately. They called me an hour later and informed me, that not only were my brakes in bad shape but they weren't considered road safe. I authorized them to replace the front roters and the rear shoes and drums. They also said my struts and shocks were wiped out and needed to be replaced asap (again, so that my car would be safe). I am looking to trade my car in soon so I opted to replace the shocks and hold off on the struts.... the total they gave me to do all of this was $1600.00 and my car isn't worth enough to put that kind of money into it. I picked up my car at 5 when I got off work. I paid them $907.00 for the roters, rear shoes, drums and shocks. I got in my car and made it across the street when my car started violently shaking and bouncing from side to side, I couldn't accelerate over 10mph, my traction control light was blinking and my brake pedal went completely to the floor. Luckily, I was moving slow because I didn't think my car was going to stop. I was on the on ramp to get on the highway! It was so scary! I pulled off to the shoulder, immediately called them and they put me on hold! I finally spoke to the manager who said he would come get me and the car. I waited another 10 minutes for them to get there. When we got back to the shop the manager informed me that he didn't know exactly what was going on but he felt there was definitely an issue and they were going to check it out. He said they didn't notice this when they test drove the car, which I find very hard to believe considering I was barely out of the parking lot when all of this happened! They looked at the car and informed me that the car was sending some sort of ABS signal. The car wasn't reading the drums they had put on earlier in the day so the car was responding with all kinds of errors. I don't know much about cars but I know enough to understand that my car was in no way safe to drive. I listened to the technician (who called me during the day) preach to me about making my car road safe and I took his advice and authorized him to make my car safe for me to drive. The car they let me leave in yesterday was anything but safe! I waited another hour and a half on my car to be "fixed". I was so nervous driving it home last night and to work this morning. I believe everything is fixed now but I can't shake the feeling of being taken advantage of and cheated. I have no problem spending money on my car and I understand the markup on services BUT I do not feel good about the $907 I gave tire discounters yesterday. I had car problems near this location, and I have always had great experiences with other Tire Discounters locations, so I stopped here. It was near closing time, but the employees were super nice and said they would take a look at it in the morning. It ended up being an issue with a catalytic converter that they correctly diagnosed, and they even picked up that it looked like a new part (it was). Turns out, the previous mechanic that replaced the converter used a questionable part and the people at TD were the ones that tipped me off. And they didn't charge me anything to do that. I ended up having the part replaced with a quality part by the original mechanic, but the next time I need anything I'm coming back here. read more

Very unprofessional, I felt as if they was discriminating against me. When I first purchased my tires I paid for road side hazardous I had a blowout which is supposed to be covered I go in with my two young children and the guy ( I know his name) at the front desk told me I didn't have the road side which I knew I did so he went on to tell me he the tire would be $173.54 I paid for it because at the time I didn't have my receipt. I later found it and guess what it was clear as day that I had purchased it, I took it to another tire discounters and soon as I told the lady my name it was on the first page and she also noticed that the day before I paid full price for this tire. I spoke with the district manager and he assured me that I would get a refund I asked him would it be a full one unfortunately he said no because I would've paid the labor cost at this moment I don't understand because I had to take this matter to another location time money mileage and it was close to the holidays so almost a month went by I had to call them to see where was the $124.21 they said they called don't recall them calling but I gave them my card number only to wait another 10+ days and they only refunded $119.21. Wow!!! I definitely won't go back to that location but I will utilize my unlimited tire balancing and rotation at another one. The internet is right at your fingertips, so go to one of the much better places nearby, like Bob Sumerel or Gateway Tire. Even Walmart Tires will be a much better choice, and definitely less sketchy and less expensive. Read the negative reviews on other sites- it's the same story. Check out the numerous complaints on the BBB website, especially regarding the hoops that customers had to jump through in order to remedy a problem, as well as the way the customers were treated before they submitted their complaint to the BBB. Overall, I will have to say that I had a horrible experience with Tire Discounters. Last week on Wednesday, I had an appointment for 12 p.m. I got to the store at my appointment time, checked in as needed and told the store that I would be two doors down at a restaurant working remotely and to give me a call when my vehicle would be ready. When making my appointment, I received a quote for four new tires and the installation that includes the free alignment. I was told that the appointment would take about 90 minutes, so I figured I could eat and get some work done while my care was being worked on. An hour and 30 minutes later, I still had not heard from them, so I walked back over to the facility. As I approached the building, I noticed that my car was in the same space that I left and still had my old tires on it. I was beyond surprised and when I came in the building to see what was going on, the gentleman who checked me in had no idea who I was until I explained to him that I was just there a little while ago to drop off my car. I asked why it hadn't been touch, and he had absolutely no clue. He walked back and got my paperwork, which was still hanging the same place it was when I left. All he could tell me was that he wasn't checking what was going on in the back. There was absolutely no excuse or reason for them completely FORGETTING about my car. I was not happy. He asked if I could stay another hour and they would jump on the job. I told him I had to get back to work. I rescheduled for that Saturday, since I still needed tires. In passing, he mentioned that "maybe" he could give me a discount or something. when returning back to work, I called customer service to share my experience. After doing so, I got a call from the GM at the store. It was not a great call, since apparently the computer showed inaccurate times of my arrival and departure time, so it was more of a conversation of me defending my story versus actually making the situation better. After providing solid evidence of what had occurred, he finally offered to pick up my car on Friday so I wouldn't be inconvenienced anymore and then bring it back to my work by 10 a.m. He said he would call me at 7:45 a.m. and then would be at my work by 8 a.m. I had to have my car back by 10 a.m. for a meeting. I got to work early to make sure I was there when the GM called and came to pick up my car. Needless to say, I received no phone call and he did not show up. I was forgotten AGAIN. I gave him to roughly 8:20 a.m. before I had to head into a meeting. I called customer service again just to let them know what had happened. While I was in my meeting I received 4 calls. Apparently, one was the GM, but I could not answer because I was working. The GM randomly showed up at my work at 9 a.m. asking for my car. I told him that I needed it back by 10 a.m., and he knew that, and that I did not trust them to get in back to me in time, since they have faltered on two other occasions, so I asked him to leave so I could get back to my meeting. I eventually spoke with the District Manager who again offered to come pick up my car that afternoon and take it to another location to get done. I agreed and then asked what I will be charged for the work due to all the inconvenience and disappointment of this experience. All he offered was $50 off of the tires I had quoted or he could upgrade my tires. However, I didn't need upgraded tires. He was still requiring me to pay for the installation and all the service that had let me down twice in three days. I did not feel that the $50 was enough for the craziness and disruption this experienced cause, so I told him I appreciated his attempt, but that I would no longer be a Tire Discounter customer. He said ok. I then went to a competitor and learned that the tires they were quoting me, weren't even the right size tires for my car. SERIOUSLY, so I would have found that out once they actually looked at my car and been charged more in the end if I decided to stay with Tire Discounters. Such a shame of an experience. Their competitor got me in new tires within an hour and I saved over $50 even with the upgraded, larger tires that actually fit my car. I don't think I have ever experienced such a letdown in customer service, so I wanted to share so others don't experience the same thing! One thing I will have to mention, is that Marla within the corporate customer service department was so friendly and AMAZING throughout the entire ordeal! Props to her for being so great! read more

First of all, everyone at this location is so nice and it's clear they care about their customers. After being given information that seemed incorrect about the road hazard offered by the manufacturer of my tires by another tire discounters ( they said it was a very difficult process and it would take around 10 days to get my tire replaced so it would make more sense for me to buy a new one) my fiancé called this location. The associate he spoke to initially explained he was not aware of specific info about the manufacturer's road hazard warranty but explained he would have his manager call us.When his manger called us, he explained that he wasn't sure about details but explained that we could drop the tire off and he would find out and let us know. Less than 24 hours later,I got a call saying my tire was ready. When I arrived to pick it up, they explained that I was eligible for 50% of the cost to be covered because of the length of time I had the tire. So I saved around 80 dollars! I got a flat nearby and pulled the tire off the vehicle and walked it to their store as not to do any damage to it seeing as how it was just a whole from a screw. I was told the tire was too old and they could not patch it. Being the tire was only 5 yrs old I questioned this and got attitude. Being a truck that I'm getting rid of anyhow I asked if they had a used tire. More attitude and a stern no.
