Called asked if they had some used tires. They confirmed my size and gave me a price. Told them I'd be there since I was driving on a donut and leaving a drs office. I was told okay we will hold and wait for you. I arrive and they say "no we sold those" after I told them I just called they told me "yea we probably sold them anyway" wtf???? read more

Randomly Had a nail in my tire leaving from work at the Airport. I loved how I was able to call and get in contact with someone immediately, tell them my dilemma and get a quote in under 8 minutes. When I arrived everyone from behind the counter and even all the mechanics walking through while working immediately radianted warm welcoming vibes. I explained what I needed and they had me in and out faster than I could finish eating a candy bar. I will definitely be coming back to this place for future car needs! read more

We paid for a tire and within a week it began leaking. Took it to another shop. Turns out the tire was previously plugged in the sidewall and was leaking out of it. Had to get a new tire for the new tire read more

Everyone in here is awesome!!! The front desk lady is so friendly and helpful. The mechanic that worked on my truck was so eager to help fix a broken lug nut on one of my tires. He got right on top of the issue within minutes of me arriving, even replacing some lug nuts for free because they needed it. I highly recommend this shop for your auto repairs! read more

Tire City - Auto Repair Near Me - Norfolk, Virginia

At my age, I have racked up a lot of experiences in life ad, and at my age, I am not timid at expressing and sharing my experiences. Three businesses I despise with a passion: Used car dealers, Handyman services, and mechanics. And, I have solutions to avoid all three. Buy your used cars from the brand's new car dealership. Rely on the advice from your neighborhood Newsletter when it comes to finding a Handyman service. Go to your dealership to have your car repaired and when they are too expensive, there's only one other place to take your car to have it repaired: Tire City Affordable Auto Repair. That's it. No Scams. No nonsense. NO BS. If they cannot fix your car, they will tell you so. If they say that they can fix your car, you can be assured that it will be done right and at a cost that you can afford. I know what I am talking about. https://tirecitynorfolk.com Personally, I prefer to have my car repaired at the dealership but, let's face it, the costs at the dealership, at times, are outrageous. So, my alternative is Tire City and Auto Repair. Now you know. read more

Professional staff with better availability and inventory than any other shops locally. I called 17 tire shops and no one had my tire and also charged way more. Tire city is affordable, great quality and professional staff. They even quoted me a great deal for power steering work I need done with same day availability. I will definitely be back next week read more

Quality, affordability, and a true sense of service to the community! These guys understand professionalism and the plight of a driver needing an emergency fix without "emergency fix money" readily on-hand. I had an oil leak, turns out my oil filter housing unit was cracked. These cats overnighted the part to their shop from out of state, had me in and out the shop in less than 2 hours the next day. Didn't even cost over a hundred bucks. Did I mention I push something 'foreign'. These guys are the real deal and I'm glad I went there. When I left, I had a service light on for something different but after some inspection they simply forgot to plug a sensor back in. I liked their business and how accommodating they are. I'll be seeing them again. read more

Came here after the yelp reviews and i had a good experience. I had to get my brakes put in which i had my own and I appreciate that you can bring your own parts im and they can install it for a reasonable price. I will definitely go back to them. They are not pricey and professional. read more

I was recommended by a friend and I wasn't disappointed the customer service was on point very friendly and did an excellent job on my wipers, took a little longer than I expected but that job was worth it I'll definitely be a returned customer read more

This place is super!! I let them know as soon as I pulled up I was on a time crunch and I had to get it done ASAP to get to work on time. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes! at the very minimum cost! highly recommend! read more

Great service and friendly people. Prices are better than dealerships. They'll try to fix it before selling you the parts. You don't need any appointment as long as they have availability or the wait will be a little longer. I recommend getting up early and coming in first thing in the morning. I was in and out within 25 min read more

Stopped in to get a quote on brakes and these guys were so affordable and fast that the job was done before I even knew it! Definitely coming here for all my tire/brake needs. Not sure what else they do but the service is enough to bring me in a second visit. Basically I got exactly what I asked for no upselling, no price haggling, just precise service. read more

I've been here 3 times, tomorrow will make 4 for a belt replacement, and ALL 3 times I've had nothing but superb service at VERY affordable prices. The first time I was able to get a used tire for my previous SUV for about 35 bucks, which was ridiculously cheap since the cheapest new tires I could find were over a hundred bucks more. The second time, which was about 3 months ago, I had two new tires (which I purchased online) installed for 20 bucks each and was in and out in less than 30 minutes and still have them on my car and have had no issues at all since. The third time which was last month, I had my front brakes (which I also purchased myself) installed, which took less than 45 minutes from the time I arrived and only cost 60 bucks. As I said previously, tomorrow I'll be going in for a serpentine belt change, which I was also only quoted only 60 bucks. Now the only small problem I've had is that when I had my front brakes changed the guy who installed them laid one of my hubcaps facing down and scratched it up pretty good. However, I didn't really think it was that big of a deal, especially given the really good and honest work and great competitive prices I've received from them thus far. I should also mention, both of the gentleman at the front desk who helped and greeted me when I first came in were very professional and cool. I forgot their names, but one of them had a beard...I'll try to find out their names tomorrow and will come back and edit this review to include them. But all in all, this is exactly the kind of place that will do well because they are consistent, professional, they do great work, and have very good prices! read more

Outstanding service. Friendly, knowledgable, affordable, efficient and fast moving. You do not need to spend your entire Saturday at the garage. Nor do you have to spend an arm and a leg to keep your car running in good shape. Coming back for all my car and van needs. read more

I need a headlight bulb replaced in my chevy malibu, so I called tread quarters and was told $240. TireCity quoted me at $100. Easy decision. After all was said and done, I was only charged $30. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

This place is awesome the mechanics are sooooo nice and are always trying to actually help you instead of trying to upsale everything we came here from Harris tire who said my flat could not be fixed and wanted to charge me 175$ for a new tire- we came here they fixed it and I was out the door after paying 15$ don't waste your time going anywhere else!! read more

I called to ask if they did state inspection, the man on the phone said "yeah come on down theres no wait". Only to drive all the way there and be told they don't do inspections. Thanks read more

These guys are the BEST!! They have saved me twice so far in the last ten days. As a rideshare driver, I depend on my vehicle. I got a screw in one tire on Halloween evening during the busiest driving hours. When 3 other repair shops turned me down for a simple plug, Tire City came through and fixed me up in about 15 minutes for just $10 right before closing time. Next incident, a pair of needle nose pliers went through the sidewall of my tire. Tire City put a used tire with great tread on in less than 30 minutes for just $40 - on a Sunday!! I love these guys. They are honest and fair and provide exceptional customer service! Highly recommend. read more

I've always came here whenever I had a flat tire. I just got my brake pads & rotors done for all four tires & it only costed me $480. Other places like Toyota would have charged me over $600. I'm digging this place & will probably come back here for all my car maintenance. Highly recommended. Great customer service. Thanks guys. read more

Came in needing a patch on a tire. I was expecting it to be expensive and to take a while, since that's what happens at most car places, especially as a female. But as other reviews have stated, I was in and out in a very short time frame. They were very kind and professional. read more

Fantastic job patching a tire. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and we were done in 15 minutes.

This place is nothing short of amazing!! I went to one place that not only tried to over charge but also misdiagnosed the problem. They got me fixed in a jiffy for a more than reasonable price!! I will be using them for all my future tire and auto repair needs. read more

I went to them to get new breaks. A month later while getting off the highway on my way to work my breaks started to go out on the exit ramp and I had to hit the pedal all the way to the floor before it would stop. I took it back to them after work and the guy told me whoever did my breaks didn't do them properly and my fluid leaked out. Well I told him they did my breaks and I literally live across the street and can get the receipt. He said I didn't need to get it. Great right? You'd think they would fix that for free since it was their fault. Well you'd be wrong. I had to pay for their mistake. Oh and I needed a new tire as well but they threw that in for free. How nice of them. I had to pay because I couldn't drive my car any longer with no breaks and I couldn't afford to tow it to another shop. I feel like since I'm a female they can take advantage of me. Now I go to Big Al's down the street. They are awesome! read more

Well I just bought a tire there for my Miata. 185/55/16 for a decent price. The sidewall has a slit in it and they refused to offer a refund. I'd suggest not doing business with these people. read more

Kept getting low tire pressure and these gents here took extremely good care of me. There was a nail in my tire causing a slow leak. They patched it and checked the other three tires just to be sure AND checked their tire pressure. I was here for about an hour, which isnt too bad because it was a Sunday and many other places weren't open. I dont care if this is out of your way. Come here!! Great service!! read more

Navy exchange was going to charge $230 for two tires installed on a van with 178,000 miles. Called Russell and he gave me a price of $180 for four tires installed. When I got there, he looked at the tires and asked me why I was having the rear two changed as they looked pretty good. I had forgotten that I only needed two Charged me $100 installed for two tires out the door. Appear to be very honest people. Time will tell. I will be bringing my cars here for repairs until I feel I am taken. Hopefully that will never happen. I honestly brought my van here based on the reviews I have read and one other person that I know that went here for inspection and was dealt with honestly Appeared to be good people read more
