Thank You Mr. Ron Jessup & Crew at Blue Collar Automotive. Bob Kinskey here of Kinskey Repair Consulting. Usually I fix most everything myself. Ron himself did both of my vehicles' state inspections back-to-back by appointment, saving me time and trouble. Not having a vehicle to lift myself at home, it made good sense for Ron & Anthony to fix the leaking rack & pinion assembly of my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 by replacement at a quick turnaround. This truck originally from New York was a bugger bear to get the original parts apart, even on a lift . (Bravo Zulu / Mission Accomplished! ) Price & Quality are Excellent at about half cost / labor and half cost / parts . This cost also included fine wheel alignment and cost of state safety inspection saving me over one hundred dollars. The main part used has the exact same limited lifetime warranty as a new part. The new part (costing more) was out of stock anyways, versus using name brand re-manufactured parts in stock, thus saving time getting the truck back on the road. ( Manufacturer recommends the use of an inline magnetic filter on the low-pressure side of the power steering return line to the steering radiator cooler that I have special-ordered.) The Flushing of the system was done very well! I was treated like family. Ron saved me the walk to his place by personally picking up the truck at alignment friends and dropping it off at my home (near his shop / backing it into my driveway) . Ron (owner of Blue Collar Automotive) arranged alignment at much less cost than if I had made the appointment myself, saving me time and cash. The Turn-Key Work there is very thorough, saving a lot of time and trouble of finding all the parts, myself. State Inspections are done here by appointment from two inspectors: Ron and his seasoned Mechanic " Living The Dream " by calling (757) 858-2886 , which is a very nice courtesy and time saving service. Thank You Ron for knowing the repair was much needed as I did not catch it myself looking at everything myself at home before inspection . ( I had fixed leaking transmission lines and changed out the leaking water pump myself right before inspection . The steering had a dead stop top dead center and it seemed like a few different possibilities . ) This system's high pressure side is normally at 150 psi and up to 650 psi while steering around turns . Therefore , I feel strongly this timely repair saved me from future harm and Stop Leak was not going to cut it . My Advice for State Inspection , Repairs and Maintenance is see Ron & Crew !
