Reasonable prices, conveniently located, nice service people. Most of my coworkers drop their cars off here to get oil changes and the like. Not extremely fast service but prices are reasonable. One time I did have an issue, where the store did not have the correct parts and I had to wait quite a while to get my car back. But the owner made it right by giving me a big discount and some coupons for service in the future. Definitely worth a return visit. read more

I had an issue with my car on a Sunday morning. When I called, I was told by Rob that they were fully booked and could schedule me mid week. However, when he found out that I was getting tow, he found a way to fit me in. When I arrived, there were 3-4 people waiting for their car so indeed he was busy. They were able to look at my car late in the day and finish the repair on Monday. I appreciate their efforts and look forward to working with them again. read more

I've had two brake jobs done there. They carefully analyze your situation, and HONESTLY evaluate what needs to be done, and tell you what it will cost. They fixed a rusted pin on both brake sets and freed them, which saved over $150 per axle. ( I know, it was more complex than that, but that's what I remember several weeks later)I would think that most other places would have gone for the higher price and most of us never would have known the difference. I'm very impressed with their technical skills, honest business policies, and fair prices. I cannot extend this to all Monro locations, but this Solon Road location has done right by me twice this year. read more

Dropped off my car in morning for a brake job; i called at the end of the day to see if it was done; they said "yes, oil change was done a while ago". I reminded them that it was there for brakes, not oil change. "Oh...we'll get right on that". Picked up my car later, no charge for the oil change. Five days later my car engine starts knocking, i take it to the closes dealer; they tell me its out of oil. When i go back to Monroe and tell them what happened, they do nothing, deny that they forgot to fill the oil, don't pay for the dealer cost, nothing. Never go here! read more

Whenever you go to an auto shop, there's always the fear that you'll be upcharged or that you will be paying for repairs that aren't necessary. I can assure you that Monro in Solon is NOT one of those places! From start to finish these mechanics have taken care of me and my vehicle to degrees that I never imagined. They are affordable and the customer service is exceptional. They genuinely do treat you like family. I am so happy with my service and I trust them implicitly with my car, and subsequently with my safety. Monro will always have my business and they should have yours too! read more

They advertised Sunday Score Oil Change for $9 based on Indian's baseball score on 8/14/16. Their ad said 'Available on most vehicles'. My son made an appointment on-line. He was naive enough, and did not confirm the price when he dropped off our car on Sunday 8/21. When he went to pick up the car, they declined to honor the $9 price and said it was not applicable for our car (VW Passat). They charged him $52. Is this a good business practice? I have been using this shop for years and have been mostly pleased although it does seem that new employees over the past couple of years seem to always find something wrong with my car. Considering I get a new car every three years, there is rarely anything really wrong. I took the car in (after having made an appointment) to get my snow tires changed out and the oil changed. I was told they didn't really have time to do both jobs as they were backed up from the day before - where is this my problem? I made an appointment and it should have been honored. But the bigger issue is that they told me that I needed to replace all four tire pressure sensors as they were corroded and could not be removed intact and that it was illegal to put normal valve stems in place of the sensor monitors. The cost would be over $600. This sounded fishy to me so I left. I called my leasing company and they had me take my car to a service location they deal with on a regular basis - it happened to be a Firestone location. I learned that it is not illegal to put regular valve stems in but more important - they were able to remove the sensors and put them into my regular tires. Yes - it took a few extra minutes because of the some corrosion, but they did it and everything works fine. Needless to say I will not be returning to Monro. As far as I am concerned they attempted to steal over $600 from me. read more

I am from Fort Wayne, IN and I was in Solon for business, I had a rental car and got a flat tire in the middle of the snow. They repaired the tire and did not charge anything!. They service and attitude was excellent. I strongly recommend the Solon location. read more
