I've been here several times for a quick oil change...never a wait...in and out under 30-mins!!

Had an oil change scheduled 1/31/25. Upon arrival, I advised that I already have the door switch/sensor and questioned if they could install. The rep advised me that they can have their master mechanic complete everything and the rep rescheduled my appointment for 2/07/25 at 8:30am. I returned on that scheduled date and time to have the work completed. It is currently 4:30pm and I'm STILL waiting for the work to be completed. Definitely wouldn't recommend, unless you have nothing to do that day and a lot of time to burn. Bring your laptop, tablet, and cell with chargers because the TV in the sitting area wasn't working, and bring your own drinks because the coffee maker wasn't working, no water bottles in the mini fridge, and no cups for the water station. My vehicle was FINALLY ready a little after 5:30pm. 8:30am to 5:30pm, EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE and a blatant disrespect of my time. It took months and pursuing legal action to get my deposit back! Even still, corporate denies any wrongdoing on their end. Please, take your business elsewhere. Even with a legitimate fault, their "unbiased" adjusters are heavily biased and will do everything in their power to make a problem you didn't cause your fault. Oil change. I purchased a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change with 5 quarts. When I arrived, the technician informed me they would only honor it up to 4 quarts. I showed him the policy on his companys website stating it was 5 quarts. So I told him, this sounds like false advertising to me. I immediately said no thank you and someone in charge needs to know this company isn't honoring its written word with the customer. It was dead as a doornail when I got there, not one car. I passed several others that were packed with customers, so I left and went to another service and waited in line. Didn't mind at all, but I got exactly what I paid for, and their service was and always has been exemplary. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, AVOID TIRE CHOICE AT HACKS CROSS ROAD. read more

This might be the least capable group of "professionals " in the car service industry. Not only are they incapable of an appropriate tire replacement without me having to return several times for additional adjustments, their customer service is lacking as well. read more

The service has declined terribly since James Weatherly, the manager at that time, quit. I can see why, the service at the Hacks Cross location, Memphis is horrible. I had a so called appointment this morning for 8:30; I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told there were 3 vehicles ahead of me that probably were left there the day before because the bays were still closed off when I got there. I know the business, that's what my Dad did for over 50 years, his own service center. The guy at the front desk with the braids was going to a front computer when I came in. I wasn't greeted, nothing as I stood at the counter. He finally mumbled ' can I help you', no eye contact, still unbothered going about what he was looking for. He tells me I can come back maybe in about 2 to 3 hours. I know the push off routine. That meant ' lady you're not getting waited on, not today'. He didn't acknowledge, mention the appointment even after I said I had one. So unconcerned. read more

Sorry, but some of these reviews are on to something. My experience 2 days ago was similar. I went online to make an appointment, then realized I needed to move it, and called them direct. I spoke with the older gentleman there who seems tired and uninterested in doing business. I then "made an appointment" telling him my issue (exhaust), and he said, "just show up at 0800." I did, and when checking in he said "you should have called me, because our guy that does that comes in 0900-1000, I said I did call and you made the appointment. At which he said, it wasn't him. He took my info, keys, and I asked if there is anything from me, he said no-he'll call with information. I left and waited for the call. Around 1500, I called to ask on status, he said he was getting it ready now - he called me back a few minutes later saying it needed replacement, and $1200. I said, thanks, I'll get a second opinion or at least save a little as it was not critical. He said okay and told me it was going to cost $90 today. I went over and told him he should have had me sign something or at least inform me of the cost just for diagnostics, he said that I should've known that. The older gentleman was not mean or rude, just indifferent and lacking real understanding of customer service to keep folks informed of costs. If this is the type of folks they are okay with hiring and retaining after these reactions, then I need to go somewhere else. read more

I set an appointment in advance for brake work. Set up someone to pick me up as it's drop off only. I show up and am told they don't honor appointments. I should have come in at opening to wait. Walk ups get preference over appointments per the manager. He refused to give me anyone at corporate to talk to and again said I shouldn't have made an appointment. Corporate called me and the store refused to honor the appointment when they called. It seems to be this one location that isn't up to corporate standards. Corporate told me they've reported this location to the district manager. read more

This place is laughable. I have been using for around a year, as my dad referred me and spent around $1200 for a set of new tires back in August 2022. Fast forward to now and I needed a tire plugged, and they can't fix it because I need a new tire. I told them I just got the tires in August and got an alignment from them in December. They were adamant on "Well you didn't get the road hazard insurance." No, I didn't but I spent 1200 for new tires, as well as 150 on an alignment within the span of 9 months. The guy's name is Robert - very condescending and rude, btw proceeds to say "Well you got cheap tires, I wouldn't put those on a golf cart." Hmm... well then why do you sell them if you don't believe in them. Just wack - I called corporate to see what they could do, but the best Steve, the area manager could offer me was 10% off of a tire, whose brand I've never heard of for $297, without tax. CLOWNS. My father nor I will be back. Their customer service was much better when Vernon was there. Haven't seen him the last few times I've been in. I actually found on samsclub.com that they can do 4 brand new Goodyear tires for my vehicle for 896 - tax and all - $300 well below what this joke of a place charged me, then proceeds to tell me is cheap. Sorry, I didn't realize spending $1,200 at your establishment is "cheap." I recommend anyone thinking about coming here to buy a sams membership if you don't have one and take your car there. My husband and I had the WORST experience ever with this place..To start, let me say the only reason I took my car to Tire Choice is because we have taken it here before a couple of times and we received really great service under Vernon (who by the way is no longer with this company)...Our truck was towed in on Monday evening, Oct. 2nd..Tuesday Afternoon, Oct. 3rd, we called for an update as to what they found wrong, estimated costs and repair timeframe...Manager Dave advised their 80 year old mechanic (Yes, you read that correctly EIGHTY) had high blood pressure and was unable to start and should be back in office by Thursday, Oct 5th..We call Thursday afternoon for an update and they had not started...We call Friday afternoon, Oct. 6th around 12 Noon and we were given the verdict on what repairs needed to be done as well as a price, so finally after 4 days of being stagnant we feel like we are beginning to make some progress even though we're looking down the barrel of a $6,700 price tag...Supposedly they are working on our truck all day Friday and Saturday...Fast forward to Monday morning, Oct. 9th, called for an update and we were told that everything should be ready to go by end of day today (Monday) or no later than tomorrow morning (Tuesday, Oct. 10th)...Oh mind you we rented a car thinking 1 week should be sufficient to get all repairs completed, so of course this means we needed to extend the rental date...Extended the rental to WEDNESDAY Oct. 11th, thinking SURELY this is ample time and we should be good to go, right???? WRONG!!! Wednesday Morning we stop by the store to see what progress had been made...We were told that the repairs were 80% complete and the store manager demanded half the payment due to the ticket being such a large amount (NOTE: Again, we randomly stopped by so if we had not done so, how would they have gotten half the amount because no one had contacted us regarding money)..We paid $3617.85 with no problem based on their Word that the repairs were almost complete...The manager said his staff told him before he left Wednesday evening all repairs were complete...Fast forward to FRIDAY Yall we go to the shop to find our truck disassembled in a thousand pieces as if it were still on the assembly line so how were the repairs complete?!?!?!? Needless to say we hit the ceiling of patience and being done and some unpleasant words were exchanged...The manager, Dave, had the audacity to call the police and made a complaint of trespassing and harassment...ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?????? I'm trespassing when you have my entire vehicle busted down to the studs and parts all over the garage floor?...Ignoring phone calls, we have gotten so many different stories and lies and its just unjust treatment...They are severely understaffed with uncertified mechanics working in their shop not making it in every day until nearly Noon when they open at 7:30am...A hot mess....All we want is our vehicle repaired as promised...We don't have a promise paying for service, but the issue is unprofessionalism, unaccountability and underhanded activities like adding services that were not discussed....I am not please with this company!! read more

I had a great experience with these folks. They were cheaper than anywhere else in town - I got two new tires - and the service was fast. I also appreciate that they didn't try to push a warranty or any other add-ons on me. The guy that checked me out did "suggest" the service package, or whatever they call it, but I politely declined and that was that. I'll go back next time I need tires. read more

Money pit! I brought my car in to be serviced because of a power steering issue I had been having, but I asked management to check everything so that any problems could be addressed. I was told that a part needed to be ordered for the power steer issue and that would stop the leak. Three weeks later, I'm having the same issues with my vehicle. This time, I was told that I had a rack and pin issue and that it would be an additional $900. Of course, this issue existed 3-weeks ago and wasn't brought to my attention due to what only could be called incompetence. Nothing changed on my vehicle in 3 weeks, it was a leak then and it's a leak now. If I had been notified that this issue existed, then I would have gotten it resolved. This company needs to change oil and leave skilled work to the trained professionals; I'll never return! read more

STAY AWAY FROM GRIMES TIRES PRO! I took my car the week of Thanksgiving to have my brakes repaired because they were squeaking. I was told that the squeaking was coming from my rear brakes and that I needed my tires balanced. I paid $247 for the repairs and went on my way. The following week I started hearing a strange noise when I let off my brakes so I took it back for them to take a look. After the mechanic drove my car, I was told I was hearing the noise because my water pump was bad. I allowed them to replace my water pump along with replacing the compressor because my rear window was not defrosting properly. I paid $598 for these repairs only to still hear the noise that was coming from my brakes. I took the car back so the mechanic could hear the noise I was still hearing. He now said the best he could tell was that the noise was coming from my rotors and he claimed to have repaired it. How about I am not only still hearing the noise but my brakes are still squeaking. I took the car back a fourth time for them to check out my brakes and to make sure my back window was defrosting properly because it didn't seem to be working. Now they tell me the squeaking is coming from my front brakes. Shouldn't they have been able to tell me this when I was having the rear brakes repaired? Grimes Tire Pros are horrible and the old guy at the front desk has horrible customer service skills. I put trust in this shop. Took my vehicle to this place for a engine diagnosis and was told by the shop manager, everything was fine. I just need to replace radiador hose, of which i agreed to pay for a new One. Total shop cost for hose and diagnosis was 138.08..Vehicle started up fine, but before i could travel 100 yards, i had to once again trust this racist ass establishment with my vehicle. I thought my vehicle was going to blow up and kill me , seconds after i paid and was told by the shop Manager on Hacks Cross my vehicle was fine. I call them immediately and explain. The Manager tells me to bring it back. Since i had Only traveled so many yards ,i decided to push it back by hand, in fear of driving it after leaving a so called certified mechanic shop who couldnt offer a tow after 20 seconds of leaving they shop on Hacks Cross in Memphis ,Tn. My vehicle sit there for 3 days before the diagnosis was performed, keep in mind, this is why i went there from the Start., The more i think about it ,the angrier i get. I let it be known, i was pissed about they performance. I get a call on day 4 my motor is blowed and they want 3,750 to repair and the motor they located for replacement has 230k miles ,when my original has 148k .My Insurance wouldnt cover it because the shop on Hacks Cross lied to my Insurance carrier to make them look good, by omitting facts. They refunded my 138..but tried to injure me in the process. We have a court date soon . Im sending my truth to Channel 13 news .So stay tuned for a Court date ,so that way, You can see the crooks ffor Who They Really Is..I wouldnt recommend this shop to my worst enemy FOR fear of their PISS POOR PERFORMANCE.
