Amazing Italian food and an Italian feel that is tough to beat in Santiago! This restaurant is almost like 3 in one, with a great bar/winebar, outdoor seating area in back, and a dining room big enough to accommodate the droves of ciudadanos (and some expats) that flock here on weekends. What I ate - Pizza (numerous), calzone, shrimp app, wine, pisco sours Ambiance - 4.8/5 The rustic feel of the place is perfectly suited to its casual/smart casual vibe and can accommodate a first date, anniversary, birthday party, or just an evening out with friends. Perfectly lit, very clean, and comfortably noisy (American hipster rock playing at an appropriate level) the restaurant is also welcoming to families with young children. The only thing that can improve the feel of the place would be if they threw in an accordion player or a Bocelli impersonator. Service - 4.5/5 An above average showing. Great and enthusiastic staff who are attentive and polite. The only thing holding them back is the time it took from order to food delivery, which was a little longer than desired. I know, I know. The New Yorker is giving five stars to a pizza place in Santiago. Eat me. Actually don't eat me, eat this pizza. I think it's because this place is so different from almost everywhere else in the area that it's so popular with locals and tourists alike. They have a pretty extensive menu, but I went for the Diavola pizza, which was a fantastic choice if you like spicy foods. They recommended a couple of local beers to match the flavor profile of the pizza, and it was a nice break from all the wine I'd been having at other restaurants. Trout drenched in oil. Grilled vegetables drenched in oil. Trout salad also drenched in oil. Waiter insisted that the oiliness was due to an excess of white wine in the sauce -- a blatant lie. Our family had dinner here and it lived up to it's famous reputation. The interior is fun with dark wood beams and cozy oil lamps on the tables. It's huge inside and somewhat loud but we didn't mind. We ordered the appetizers of cheeses and meats and they were large and great quality and quality. The pizzas are single serving but with all the appetizers we ended up taking lots of pizza home. Had a late night bite here because I noticed the place was always super busy, and I can't say it disappointed. Wine pours are generous and there is a fun Italian vibe here created through decor and lighting, however the music was a fun but interesting mix of American Classic Rock. Great restaurant with a varied selection. Was recommended by several including the Ritz-Carlton concierge and our tour guide in Santiago, Chile. We went as a group of 8 and were promptly seatied without a prior reservation. Portions were generous and the food was great! Only hiccup was trying to track down our server to pay the bill. Visiting Santiago and staying downtown, my guide recommended if in the mood for Italian try Tiramisu. We did and we enjoyed ! A 2 block walk from the Ritz this restaurant serves great Italian eats and pizzas. ( no pasta but great dishes none-the-less. Enjoyed a salami and Spanish sausage pie with a glass of house premium red vino. Cooked right with clean and good flavors. Wife had the calzone which could of been cooked a bit more and the cheese needed melting so mediocre that time round. The atmosphere and decor were nice with a good vibe going throughout the place. Host willing and able to accommodate English but they did have English menus in addition. Tight space but fun time with good Italian foods. I don't think it lives up to the hype. The lines were long going into the restaurant but the food was ok it wasn't bad but not special. I was quite underwhelmed. The bruschetta- something not that hard to make was under seasoned and lacking in flavor. Ask for the garlic Oliver oil- it will improve it tremendously. The pizza are fine. The mango salmon salad does not have much pistachio or other nuts as indicated and a lot of lettuce filler for an arugula salad. Would I go back -no. read more

I went there alone (for lunch) and I speak about 3 words of Spanish. First of all - they opened at 12:45, not 12:30. There were about 20 people waiting (all locals on lunch break - seemingly). They gave me an English menu and I ordered a veggie tortilla kinda sandwich. It was full of spinach and just a bit of cheese (by American standards). I really enjoyed it!!
