The main - tempura prawns, octopus on a bed of really tasty fried rice .

We were starting in the hotel, so it seemed only natural to try the 'best restaurant in town' - according to the reviews. Boy, it did not disappoint! It was busy, but we had made a reservation and were seated at the sushi bar. This turned out to be a great decision, as you can watch the small team of chefs preparing your food right in front of you. It's like being in the front row on MasterChef Being unsure what to choose from the extensive menu, or server suggested trying the tasting menu, which they prepared according to it dietary choices {no meat or dairy}. With a nice bottle of Chilean sauvignin blanc cooking on ice, wee watched enthralled as a parade of exquisitely prepared dishes were placed in front of us. I can't begin to describe how tasty they all were, and just as we were ready to call it a day, they brought it the main course! Just fabulous food, great service, and a wonderful visual experience all round. It's easy to see why this place is rated as the best restaurant in town. Don't miss it!

This is an exceptional place. Everything looks stunning and beautiful and tastes ten times better than they look! The love for detail shines through. We tried the tasting menu and had no regrets. Everything was just perfect. The service is very friendly, welcoming, and just impeccable. Loved it and can't wait to return!

Karai might break the bank, but it will have been worth it. As many times as we have come here with our American friends, we had never tried the chef's tasting menu until most recently in early October 2019. At about $100 USD/person with about 8 courses, it's not to be missed but requires you arrive hungry! Every dish is photo-worthy and almost makes you sad to have to destroy the art by consuming it. The drinks here are all lovely and you cannot go wrong with anything on the dinner menu since it is decidedly Peruvian-Japanese. Some dishes are more Peruvian, but all are delicious and unique. My favorite is when they bring out the mini blow torch to get a nice sear on your sushi. I do recommend you make a reservation and if time and your pocketbook allow, definitely go for the multi-course menu!

Japanese (Nikkei) Peruvian fusion restaurant... by far one of the best food experiences in my travel life. Chef Nicolas and his team are one bad ass fine dining machine. If you're in Santiago, Chile give this place a try. Wow! Presentation, taste, timing and attention to detail, all meet in one place here at the Marriott W Hotel. Definitely worth your time and money. Cheers!

Yakitori with a mustard sauce

This is an amazing restaurant. This a true Peruvian version of Japanese foods with sashimi sourced from local Chilean fish and ingredients. The service is excellent, and at a rarity in Santiago, English is widely and well spoken. The menu is varied with many nigiri selections and some Peruvian versions of Japanese items, such as yakatori or chicken karage. I have been here a few times and there was not a single choice I can find fault with. The most popular item that I saw ordered is A Lo Pobre, angus beef sushi ( ?) with a quail egg on top.

This place is amazing. The food, presentation, service and ambiance are all you need for a great night in Las Condes. Nikkei food is wonderful, full of flavors, textures and nicely plated. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, fish used, drinks, etc. This place is a must - we had dinner at Maido and this place is comparable (IMHO) and cheaper. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent find in Las Condes for Peruvian-Sushi!! Yes, you read correctly, "Peruvian-Sushi". Delicious combinations is Japanese with a Peruvian influence. I had been traveling the Southern Cone for a week, eating delicious cuts of meats and lots of red wine, I needed a seafood fix and where better than Chile, the capital of Latin American seafood. I asked the concierge at the W hotel for a seafood recommendation and he highly recommended this place. The fish was fresh, served at the right temperature. The menu selection included sashimi's, tiraderos, cebiche's, sushi's, Maki's and Chaufa's. Incredible selection. I will post my dinner pictures on this review.

The food will blow your mind. Every dish exceeded expectations and the Service is top notch (perfect English). A must try restaurant.

Ceviche of the day w crispy calamari

Had a long layover in Santiago so checked this place out based on reviews and other recs from foodie websites. Inside the W hotel. We went for lunch on a Saturday so the restaurant felt quiet and the neighborhood was quiet too. The space is decorated very nicely and there is a window view of the neighborhood. The service was attentive and friendly. Our waiters were not too fluent in English but we managed with our simple Spanish. We have not had the Nikkei style cuisine which is to my understanding a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian. We like both cuisines so figured we could not miss. We ordered the Tiradito of the day, Salmon tiradito, Nikkei ceviche, nigiri w angus beef and quail, nigiri w foie gras, sweet apple and unagi, sweet chili roll, Karai roll (they refer to their rolls as maki), lomo Saltado dumplings and octopus w potatoes and salsa. The ceviche was fresh and tangy served w some crispy calamari that was delicately fried. The tiradito of the day was a whitefish w "leche de tigre" sauce. The sauce was so good, we could have drank it. The foie gras nigiri and the 2 rolls we got were a little too sweet for our taste. They were probably our least favorite. The lomo saltado dumplings cannot be missed. They look like tiny dumplings w a light crispy skin and have a juicy flavorful filling of tiny cubes of beef. Bathe them in the wonderful spicy yellow chili sauce that soles along with them. There are 2 octopus plates and both have octopus and potatoes. Our waiter recommended the one w spicy salsa and spicy cream sauce. The portion of octopus was generous. The octopus was tender and soft not chewy. Another favorite of the meal. People have noted the expensive prices. Our meal for 3 people, fully stuffed, food and 3 bottles of pellgrino and tip came out to about $160 which is par to course to what we pay at home for sushi. Would definitely come back for the ceviche, tiraditos, lomo saltado dumplings and octopus. Would try some other dishes, skip some of the food that is sweeter, and maybe even consider the omakase.

My spanish isn't that great so she was super patient. The bread came out and was warm and soft. We ordered the three seafood appetizer with fried calamari, fish. It was lightly breaded and tasty with a lemony taste. Our main dish was the sea bass and we loved the sauce. It tasted like a sea orchin sauce and was very good. In the background they had some peaceful music playing. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean. Great place for Perúvian food!

I liked that they were light and not heavy or made me feel stuffed. They have good size portions and OK prices too. I'd be back. Buen lugar limpio, buen servicio y amplio menu.

Parque Arauco Mall SANTIAGO , CHILE…read more Just going over my notes from my last trip to Santiago and discovered my notation that I ate at Madam Tusan in January 2012. I am embarrassed to report that I do not remember what dish I ordered, but I did write in my notes that the food was EXCELLENT ! I do remember the meal because it was delicious, a fusion of Asian and Latin flavors. I plan to return and visit again in January 2015. My flight leaves tomorrow night for Santiago. Next time I will render a better report. I would highly recommend Madam Tusan as a fine place to dine. Sin embargo , espero que me entienden. ok...I am in Chile now, but in the city of La Serena, north of Santiago. The other day, when I was in Santiago I went to the PARQUE ARAUCO MALL. Then I saw it, the other Madam Tusan. I knew that I ate at Madam Tusan but did not remember where it waslocated. The address above at Av. Andres Bello was not the one I ate at, it was the one in PARQUE ARAUCO. Either way, the food there is excellent.. Of course there is parking in the Mall parking lot, for a small fee.
