My friend found this restaurant for dinner and it was close to our hotel. We told a few local people we were thinking of going there and everyone said how great it was so we made sure to head over. Fortunately we had been informed that it can be "hard to find" because there isn't a large or obvious sign and it's very easy to miss at night. That being said, look for the white building that has a Stella Artois beer sign hanging on it and there will be an unmarked wooden door that has a bouncer out front :)
We got there before 11pm so there wasn't a wait, although the restaurant seemed nearly full. The hostess spoke great English and gave us a table for 2 in the front room, which seemed to be more quiet than some of the other rooms that had much louder music. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not have English menus (my Spanish sushi vocabulary is lacking) and the waiter didn't speak much English, but he was very patient and helpful. The restaurant has free WiFi so that was also helpful in translating certain words on the menu.
We ordered a dumpling sampler that was on the specials menu and a few specialty rolls. The rolls were good, although a bit more rice than I'm used to eating in NJ/NYC. We had trouble deciphering which dumpling was which, but they were all good so we didn't care! I wish we had read more reviews prior to ordering and selected a ceviche, as I can now see many people recommend it.
Shout out to one of the employees, Marcelo! A tour guide we spent the day skiing with is his friend and after introducing ourselves he treated us as a friend as well :) read more
