We read good things about this place. They did not do it justice! We were seated promptly and the service was excellent. Make sure you're not in a hurry as this is more an experience than a meal. We were brought an amuse bouche of tuna tartare served in little cones. Seafood croquettes were crisp and delicate. I had grilled conger eel, my son had steak, and my wife had seafood pasta. All were fabulous. We paired it with a local red wine recommended by our waiter. (He first asked what types of wine we preferred and then asked what price range we were comfortable with before making a recommendation). Only drawback was that we were too full for desert.

Food and service was great. If ever in Santiago again I would not hesitate to visit this establishment. They also have a covered patio with heat lamps which made the decision to sit outdoors an easy choice. The Hake fish with the crispy bread topping was phenomenal. My diabetic mother also really appreciated that they offered a sugar free dessert.

This is an excellent restaurant. Service was top. Arnaldo, my waiter was attentive and sincere. Sergio Castro, the chef deserves great accolades. The carpaccio was one of the three best i have ever tasted. The other two are at Mille Fleurs in Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego California and Vestibul in Vienna Austria. Red filet perfectly slices and topped with a poached egg and caviar from Isla de Chiloe in southern Chile. The tiradito de Salmon was fresh and clean and simply delicious. The ceviche with aji verde was tender and with a sweet lightly spicy flavor. The Chilean wines paired perfectly. I am very very happy. The homemade sorbetos of passionfruit, lime, manjar lucuma (a local fruit) and raspberry were so darn good! I met Chef Francisco Huenufil. Wow. He is an encyclopedia of Chilean cuisine. What an honor.

Finding something open in Santiago on a Sunday night is pretty difficult... I'd say 80% of restaurants are closed Sunday. We were heading to our planned restaurant only to find out it was closed. We searched and kept hitting dead ends (hours had recently changed, winter hours etc.), when Estro came up in my search. I was hesitant at first because Estro is inside the Ritz Carlton and I wanted something more "authentic" but as soon as I sat down I knew it was a winner. Our server Camilo was the consummate host, recommending dishes, wine paring, taking the time to have a real conversation (I think I made a friend:). We ordered the king fish tiradito w/ uni, oysters, seared salmon with chickpea stew prawns and salmon skin chicharon, and the sea bass with micro greens and sweet potato purée. Great wine selection, fresh delicious seafood and awesome service. I would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent restaurant at the Ritz hotel. Food quality is great, typical Chilean dishes and international dishes available.
