All five stars justly earned !
*This place is very convenient, right down the street from the University of Chile metro stop in downtown.
I visit friends in this neighborhood an La Serrana has become our "go to" for several reasons.
*The menu is mainly pizza, and I promise the seafood pizza is the best I've ever had in any country. Overloaded with shrimp. Perfect in house made crust. Split one for the table or have one for yourself.
In addition to the outstanding pizzas, there is a good selection of well made starters and main courses.
Highly recommended is the proveleta and the carpaccio de pulpo. Perfectly made. Tender, not chewy and served with an amazing sauce.
For main courses, I can't say enough about the grilled salmon. The grill master in this place knows how to handle fish.
*The service is friendly, efficient and helpful with menu questions. English is spoken by some of the staff.
*The restaurant is in an old townhouse, with the beautiful original plaster ceilings and carved walls intact. Gorgeous place. Upstairs dining is more intimate, downstairs has a friendly neighborhood vibe.
*The pricing is very reasonable, especially consudeung the quality of the food and the amount served. A full meal of this quality at a place in Las Condes or Bellavista could easily cost 1/3 more. read more
