The highlight of this place was the service. After a day at the zoo, not all dressed up, towing 4 kids under 7 and 6 adults, with only 1 fluent spanish speaker, 1 getting fluent speaker, and the rest of us learning - we were not the normal cliental of this upscale neighborhood joint. The waiter clearly did not like us... but despite that, the service was impeccable, which makes me like the place even more. Of all the kids meals we had over the trip, my son's was the best. It was an off menu request: Vegetable Risotto with chicken. His risotto was the best I'd ever had, and for a kid who previously would refuse to eat risotto he ate almost all of it - which despite being billed as a "half order" it was a generous serving. I will mention: My shrimp risotto, while tasty, either needed bigger shrimp or some vegetable with a crunch. As a meal, it felt one note... but everything else on the table was wonderful. The ceviche was incredible. My sister in law got the eel and raved about it, but sadly I didn't get to try it. Great ambience, plenty of on street parking around the block - would absolutely recommend.

We were offered English menus and then decided to sit upstairs. Wish the weather was better so we could've sat outside though. To start we all ordered the pisco sour, which is one of the country's signature drinks and it was pretty good. I expected something different but this exceeded that. For food I ordered the Drunk sandwich which could've used a little freshness, like lettuce, spinach, or arugula but all in all was good. We were having such a good time that we stayed and ordered margaritas. The staff was nice and helped us with learning a little Spanish.

When you walk in, ask the person at the register what kind of pizza they are serving next (they serve by the slice). If you think it sounds good, tell him/her how many slices you want. Once you order, you find a place against the wall (they don't have tables here, you just stand at a bar/counter thing). When your slice is ready, they'll bring it to you. Whenever you're done, ask for your receipt and you pay again at the register. It wasn't too busy when I went in (4pm), but I've seen that it's a little insane for lunch. It's very much an in-out sort of place. It's the perfect place to go if you're running errands in el centro!

Their sidewalk patio is so cute and very pictures facing the park and all. They offer a wide variety of flat crust pizzas. They are very well sized (although I can eat one myself). They have options for both vegetarians and meat lovers. Their salads are big and not just filled with lettuce, I'm a ceasar lover myself and I love when my salads have lots of goodies, not just three pieces of chicken. They also serve selected bottles of wine or by the glass and almost all of their beer is served on tap. You can enjoy the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere or take your food to go. They sometimes do delivery but always ask first as it varies. Their staff are very nice and accommodating.

Everything we had was fantastic and the waiter and chef were very accommodating. Everything was great particularly the traditional menu items. The service was warm and friendly. The plus here... most of the folks (other than us) seemed like neighborhood locals. When you're traveling, go where the locals go :) In fact we met the owner who was sitting at the table next to us with some German expats, which just added to the warmth and depth of our experience.

Our waiter spoke English, was kind enough to answer our many questions on the menu and provide recommendations. I had a Pisco sour (because you can't go to Chile without trying that cocktail out). Both were delicious, but beware, portions are huge! Both dishes were extremely good.
