We sat at a sidewalk table, since it was a lovely night, and were ignored for a while. A few cold rolls were then brought to the table, and a waiter took our order. The house salad had no dressing on it, came with lime halves, which we used together w/ the oil & balsamic vinegar on the table. I ordered Vermicelli Bolognese, which did not have much sauce and was very light on flavor. My husband enjoyed his vegetarian lasagne w/ pomodoro sauce. Strangely there did not seem to be any garlic or many herbs in their version of Italian food. We had walked quite a distance to get to this area/restaurant and did not feel like it was worth the trek.

Best kept Italian secret in Santiago!…read more Why? Because the price is right with huge portions of homemade pasta!! This place is always busy with locals! Definitely a casual place. They also own the cafe across the street and a pick up fresh frozen pasta separate entrance. The restaurant entrance is on the side of the building as if you were entering someones home, and this place keeps on going and going. They obviously kept expanding the restaurant space into different living areas of the location. They have a toy room for the children to play. My personal favorite dining location is in the open air back patio that has small water fountains with flowers in the summer. When ordering in Chile many waiters and restaurants are not willing to change the plate to your specific request. This is not one of them! If a dish has a sauce that usually comes on it and you would prefer a different one not a problem! Im not saying the service is always polite but the food is good. My personal favorite is the homemade ricotta cheese ravioli with nuts and the tomatoes and creme sauce. Ravioli de Ricotta y nueces con sala rossa. Yum! I love it so much that we would go to the take home entrance of the fresh frozen pasta and pick up boxes of the Raviloli - Ricotta y Nueces as well as Ravioli de Ricotta y Jamón and Ravioli de Carne to take home and make for ourselves throughout the month. Whipped up some homemade sauce and its so easy and delicious. 1box is good for 2 adult servings. Definitely recommend this location for tourists during lunch!

It's a bit on the expensive side, but you are definitely getting what you pay for. I can't emphasize enough how nice the staff is! Possibly the best service I've ever experienced in Chile. My recommendation - try the locos as an appetizer and order the pasta trio. Delicious and filling, you will not regret it.

When I had dinner here, I was one of only two tables, which is a shame given the calm ambiance and delicious food. The gnocchi was awesome, and the server paired it with a nice wine. I had a ginormous 3-tiered chocolate cake and espresso for dessert...for a city that has been a let-down for a coffee lover, their espresso was miles above the other local options. Also, the server not only worked with my lack of Spanish, he tried very hard to make conversation and ask about my trip, etc. Highly recommend!

For the low price, huge quantity, and good taste, this place gets 5 stars from me!…read more You may have to wait awhile, so be prepared. The plates are huge... about 3 servings worth. I always take mine to go afterward. You can choose a variety of different pastas (spaghetti, ravioli, gnocchi, lasagna), pizza, or calzones. For the pastas they have several different sauces to choose from. I have tried several combinations and all are tasty! Also, even though it's decently priced, it's cheaper if you order the food to go! It's not too fancy, but still a nice place to take your family/friends. Also, it is kid friendly. It's a little loud in there, so maybe not the best date spot :) Definitely will continue to go back!

Our waiter spoke English, was kind enough to answer our many questions on the menu and provide recommendations. I had a Pisco sour (because you can't go to Chile without trying that cocktail out). I don't do very well with sourness in cocktails, but I thought that it was excellent, and barely sour at all. Then my husband had the shark with fries and fried eggs, and I had the pork. Both were delicious, but beware, portions are huge! Both dishes were extremely good. Overall a very pleasant experience, I would recommend this restaurant if you happen to be in the Santa Isabel neighborhood, it's only 2 blocks away from the metro.

There's one pizza that has some spicy peppers on it, which are actually super spicy - probably enough to kill most Chileans (although I appreciated the spice!). I had a half Mediterranean Salad, and the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare. Unlike some versions, there was plenty of seafood gracing the dish. And all the pasta is so fresh! And it is -- servers are professional and attentive, the food is awesome, and you can get wine by the glass, half bottle or bottle. They have a good cocktail list too. I highly recommend Rivoli, and hope to be back again, but bring a credit card, or at least the Chilean equivalent of a couple of Benjamins.

The space is large enough to accommodate groups. It was a hot day in Santiago, and I chose the indoor option, which was slightly cooler than the outdoor option. My waiter was very efficient and helpful, and I had a very enjoyable thin crust pizza. They have a delicious Pisco sour, and Carmenere wine (by the glass) went well with my pizza. I enjoy thin crust pizza that is not overwhelmed by toppings, and my pizza was well balanced. This restaurant seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike -- it's always a good sign when there are more locals than tourists eating at a restaurant. I am very happy with my choice of pizza restaurants that evening.
