Despite being told by hotel concierge that they didn't take reservations, this is not correct. If you can navigate the Spanish-only website, they DO offer online reservations. We arrive at 6:55 for our 7 pm reservation and there were already 50+ people (tourists) lined up to get in when they open at 7. The restaurant is huge so if you go early you could easily walk in, but the benefit of the reservation was having a prime table set aside on the edge of the open-air restaurant.

I enjoy thin crust pizza that is not overwhelmed by toppings, and my pizza was well balanced. This restaurant seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike -- it's always a good sign when there are more locals than tourists eating at a restaurant. They offer thin crust pizza by the slice and last time I went it was only about 1 mil pesos a piece. They always have a selection of pizza ready, or you can wait for their fresh ones to come out of the oven. The dough is nice and crunchy, the toppings are good, nothing too special. You can take a seat inside or enjoy yourself on their little street patio. Or if you want to avoid being in public grab a slice or two to go. Verace is always open late as it is in such a popular part of Santiago. They also serve beer to enjoy with your food. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is piola (chill).

After a day of walking through a local vineyard on a Sunday, my friends and I agreed on finding some yummy pizza. Parking wasn't too terrible (a block away), but it was getting close to lunch hour, so I dropped them off to wait in line. By the time I parked, they were already at the table. We ordered lemonades with ginger and mint and the arancinis, which I had been wanting to try for a while. They didn't disappoint! Delicious, big fried rice balls filled with tender brisket. Yummmmmm.
