We had a great time at the Tipsy Nomad. I had contacted them for a work event of about a group of 10 people and they were really nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Tipsy Nomad for a nice after work happy hour or a casual fun night out. Ambiance: we had a great area to sit in and it felt like our own private space. It was a round wide booth type set up so everyone was able to see/talk to each other. Service: Brendan was great. He helped with the set up and checked in on us too. Service was really fast and the waitstaff would came and check in on us often. Food: we got the classic pizza and the cheeseless one too. I really like the crust, it was the right amount of crispy. The sauce was well seasoned and complemented the crust. The best part, they have fresh free popcorn, such a great munch snack. Drinks: they had a great happy hour for drinks. The Moscow mules were really good and a perfect balance between sweet and tart. They also had a great deal on high noons and wines.

This dive bar is a great place for drink specials, friendly bartenders, & to watch a game. From happy hour to daily drink specials you won't be disappointed. It's a very large space with pool tables and sofas. They even have free popcorn!

What an awesome experience, having my birthday here! Brenden the owner is very chill, and the staff are such a sweet delight. I came here for an engagement party originally, and I really like the space so I decided to inquire for it on my bday. If for those who want to party here, the deets are as follows: -Know how many people you want to bring -Decide if you want an open bar package because you need to give a list of names (you can just have it as an open tab for everyone though, so everyone pays for their own tab) -You have beer pong available -You may bring your own desserts and decorations -They sell pizza and wings, and as someone that's not super big on wings, holy moly these are the best wings I've ever had! -keep in mind it's an upscale sports bar, so don't be afraid to dress up like I did! There are also different "sections". I had a group of 30, so I got the smaller space, but if you have a group like 50 or more, there's a bigger spot in the back with a private bar. I had a semi-private space, but dedicated staff helping out. Overall, I am coming back here as I absolutely loved it so so much, and Brenden is the coolest guy out there. The drinks, location (right off the 6 train), atmosphere, and WINGS just pull you right in!

Jamie W. and I were spending our last minutes in Manhattan people watching in Madison Square Park. We were sitting near the gigantic stone art piece where they filmed the reunion scene in "Past Lives". We kept saying "Waah...waah" just like in the movie. I think it's Korean for "Holy f**kballs!!" Hell, I don't know Korean since I got fired from my boy band. I must be in a George Santos kind of mood. Anyway, we were making our way back to the hotel when we saw this empty brick-and-wood tavern was open. It had a long bar, and we noticed they were serving $10 Espresso Martinis. Was it too early to tipple? My answer to that question is "Waah". The young bartender made an excellent one (photo: https://yelp.to/aPfOY0uC7c), and it also gave us a Flatiron libation option. We'll come back. DRINKS - 4 stars...a nice martini with zip AMBIANCE - 4 stars...kinda den-like and chill SERVICE - 4 stars...quiet but skilled bartender TOTAL - 4 stars...Waah RELATED - Exploring NYC? Stopped in for a quick bite after shopping before heading home. Pretty empty but it could it was Monday evening around 430pm. Took a seat at the bar, smiling, happy bartender came over to take order. What I wanted the shrimp BLT was no longer on the menu. Bit disappointed, ordered the grill chicken with avocado Swiss cheese with chipotle dressing. The fries a bit crispier than I like and a tad salty but otherwise pretty tasty. Hey it's bar food, no wow factor but still enjoyable. Bar itself I would say good for watching games. It's a bit more chic with the leather sofa lounging area. Definitely good for groups. Has an ATM e route to bathroom not sure if working or decoration lol. Bathrooms updated and well kept. Plus for me, paper towels. Hate washing hands only to have to open doors with clean hands.. yuck! Cool spot to hang with friends or group outing for drinks. Didn't partake I had club soda so can't comment on the alcohol but hey check it out and let me know. FYI..download the seated app use code michelle1454. First time using earn $15 (seated dollars towards various gift cards).

Me and a couple of friends came here for happy hour before going to a concert and I'm happy we stumbled across this place. Firstly the bartender Asa was awesome. She was very attentive, friendly and let me charge my phone behind the bar haha. A very unique thing about this bar was the bottomless free popcorn to munch on while drinking. They have happy hour specials ALL DAY including $5 bud light drafts and $7 or $8 shots. We only ordered pizza to eat. We ordered a margarita pizza and chicken parm pizza. The chicken parm was pretty good for bar pizza. The margarita seemed to be cooked earlier than the chicken parm so it wasn't hot and fresh. They have a lounge area and ping pong also. Overall a good experience.

25 wings. Buffalo and BBQ...very good!

Waitress was so attentive to us. Wings were excellent! Nice vibe inside and enjoyed watching games on TVs.

Pros: decent drink prices, drafts are around $8 and they have drink specials like $5 Bud Light bottles and $5 pickleback shots. Cons: ordered a burger but got a chicken sandwich instead. Got charged different prices than what the menu reflected. Fries on menu is $6, was charged $12 ($12 for fries tho, come on) and the even though they gave me the incorrect order of a chicken sandwich instead of the burger, the menu price for chicken sandwich is $11 and I got charged $14.

Had a couple of porn star martinis here - loved the vibe - bartenders were friendly as were the other patrons! Would definitely stop by again when I come back to town! Did not eat anything other than the free popcorn!

I think the "owner "is a bit confused my review is for the Tipsy Nomad not the "Whisky tavern". My review still stands and from the other reviews you can see there is a kitchen at the Tipsy Nomad

The ambiance in the bar was really festive. We were here later in the night as one of our final stops and it was great. We were able to find a table on the side where we could all huddle with our drinks and talk and just enjoy the vibes. Service was good! The raspberry lemonade was delicious. It had Stoli Raspberry Vodka with fresh muddled lemons, raspberry puree, splash of soda and sour. I would be down to come back next time I'm in the area.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Dim lighting, plush seating, rich wood + wallpaper details, and that lounge-library vibe make the place feel like a secret hideout right in the middle of Midtown. It's moody, cozy, and effortlessly intimate -- perfect for a date night, a chill catch-up, or just a night out with good drinks. Nice service, too! However: be ready for the price tag. The cocktails are absolutely beautiful -- well crafted, creative, and flavorful -- but each one will remind you that you're not exactly paying dive-bar prices. It's worthwhile, but the "overpriced drinks" vibe absolutely hits. That said: the interior design and ambience are amazing. We needed a place close to our Broadway show "Social Club" From welcoming, to ambiance, to service and to of course the food! My husband had indicated it was our birthdays so they provided a cute birthday card and made sure to wish us Happy Birthday when we checked in. Due to some unforseen circumstances (on our part being First time visitors not understanding NY traffic) we were short on time and they were still able to accommodate us! We were looking forward to do one their prix fix menus but had to cut our time shorter. We had the shrimp cocktail, would recommend and also really loved the serving coupe it came in! Fried artichokes that were mid at best and saved by the sauce it comes with. To save time we split the steak frites, I would recommend, though bot as tender as I normally like, I appreciate the serving and flavorful bites. The drinks are amazing and we love how they're all accompanied by a story! I had the heir to empire and our lovely waitress asked for my favorite color and when the drink arrives, it came with a little coaster in purple! And it was strong without it being overwhelming.
