    Good chix Philly

Two stars because the chicken Philly was excellent! The rest of the establishment, including service (the lack thereof), two thumbs down. Waitress never gave us her name nor was it on the receipt, dark hair with glasses. She had the personality of a wall. Didn't bring utensils or napkins (had to ask the cook). Maybe because we were the only girls in there and the bar was lined with guys?? She and the cook stepped outside for a smoke break and left the bar wide-open and unattended, which we thought was a little odd. I seriously don't care to see someone's butt hanging out of a skirt when trying to eat, VERY TRASHY. And parking is horrible! I don't recommend.

The philly and nachos are phenomenal.

I'm updating this review after reading some of the others. This isn't usually a "party" spot. Sometime on the weekends it can get rowdy but for the most part it's just a good local pub to grab a beer and relax. It's a great place to meet friends and just hang out. The food is great. It's just overall a good place with a good atmosphere.

    Love the bartenders here

Very friendly atmosphere. Lovely ladies in lovely skirts. A great place to begin your night out on the town. It doesn't get too crowded on the weekends either so bring all your friends. The selling point behind this place is similar to hooters. The beautiful waitresses behind the bar will leave you wanting to tip extra.

    Here's the menu.

Very mixed review. When it was right, it was a 10/10. When it missed, it really missed. Had not…read morehad this kind of experience at Sheehan's before. I ordered the catfish: Hot Honey Catfish | 26 lightly fried, polenta cake, collard greens, chow chow, hot honey drizzle. It came with grits, not a polenta cake, which was fine except they sat too long and had hardened on top. The collards were excellent but the "Catfish" was pure mush. Really not edible. I had to wait for my plate to come out because they ran out of the chow chow so I think my plate must have sat under the light for a while. I think they should have cooked another piece of fish rather than sending that one out. I could not/did not eat it. The chow chow overpowered the hot honey drizzle completely. The server kindly took it off the bill but I would have rather had a piece of crispy catfish. My nephew ordered the Pappardelle Frutti di Mare| 29 shrimp and crawfish tail meat, mushroom, white wine butter cream, shaved parmesean which was TOO SPICY for him to eat. When we mentioned this to the server she said the spice was normal for the dish and she would ask the chef to mention this on the menu. Didn't help us this time as the menu made no mention of any spiciness and we didn't know to ask to tone it down, which we would have asked had we known it was spicy. There was a special seasonal salad, with blueberries, peaches, and watermelons which was 10/10. We had ordered one to split but fortunately they forgot to split it so we got a whole salad each and I was thankful because it was beyond tasty and filling!! Would go back again for the salad alone!! Hopefully these problems will be rectified and we will give them another chance.

We found this place through Google Maps rather than Yelp, and honestly--I'm so glad we did. I have…read moreno idea why the Yelp rating isn't higher, because this was a solid five-star experience across the board! We started with the fried cheese curds (yes, I insisted), and even my skeptical husband admitted they were excellent. The pepper jelly dipping sauce gave them the perfect sweet-and-spicy balance. He ordered the garlic parmesan wings, which he rated 8 out of 10--though I should note that I'm pretty sure his personal rating scale tops out at 8. He would've preferred a dry rub, but still gave them a thumbs up. I had the blackened chicken with shrimp, served over rice and beans with a crema sauce. I usually avoid blackened dishes for fear of too much heat, but this had just the right amount of kick. It was flavorful and well-balanced, and I'd absolutely order it again. To top it off, they had a great beer selection. I had the Mango Cart, a wheat beer with a bright, fruity flavor--super refreshing. Service was fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and we're already planning to come back. Don't let the low Yelp score fool you--this place is a keeper!
