After waiting an hour past my appointment time for someone to actually begin working on my nails. An older lady (presumably one of the owners) was very rough with me and cut the skin around my nails with the file several times. Additionally, I told her that I wanted my nails short, but not stubby and she cut the first one so short it barely covered the top of my finger. They are very, very short and stubby-looking and make my fingers look fat. I probably should've said something when she cut the first one too short, but I was in the middle of a phone conversation with a client and let it go. I won't be going back. My fingers actually HURT from where she cut me while filing them. read more

I went with my boyfriend's mom on Christmas Eve. She called ahead and they were open so we went. They closed at 7 and both our nails kept them a little past 7. They were very sweet and did an amazing job. The owners talked to us and made us feel more than welcome. Both our nails look great too! I got dip ombré on my natural nail (so they are shorter than acrylic) and she got acrylic with a design and both look absolutely amazing. They have a huge selection of colors and do different acrylics, gel, dip, and pedicures. Also the pricing is not outrageous, you pay about average for any other place. This was my 3rd visit to Tip Top nails and I have found my new favorite place. I loved my pedicure the first time I had one. It was amazing. $35 and includes hot stones. $15 more for gel polish. Which is worth it to me. Gel polish looks better & last longer. The owners are very nice and friendly. The lady, is so funny. I love the way she does my nails. She cares about how they look. have been going here for 5+ years without issue, but the last two times I have gone for a pedicure (April 9, 2024 and May 22, 2024) the male owner cut me and caused me to bleed! in April it was a few nicks near my cuticles, but the latest visit he was painfully digging into my big toe and this was a deep injury that caused a stream of blood to run along the entire outer edge of the my big toe Over the length of the toe. I was astounded that he didn't apologiz or offer me a drink of water or ask if I was okay. He looked at all the blood for a few seconds and then Grabbed a nearby spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide and sprayed it on the injury. He is not a medical professional and has no idea if I have a medical condition. The next day (today) I have a huge red wound at the site of injury, and cannot even touch the area without cringing with pain. It's disturbing how normal this occurrence seemed to be for him, as he showed no emotion or compassion after knowingly injuring me. I'm sad to say I will be finding another place to get my nails done. "Spa day" should not involve bleeding! read more

I was very disappointed in this place . they were constantly trying hard to upsell and when I stayed with basic pedicure he charged me 10.00 extra for French. usually 5.00 extra for French . he was sick , sneezing and snotting all in his mask so I'll prob get sick again and he did a lazy job on my feet. he didn't even remove the old polish when I mentioned it twice . in the end when I only tipped five dollars for the bad , rip off job he tried to shame me for the tip. Honestly I'm such a picky person when it comes to my nails and feet. I travel 4 hours to Atlanta just to get my service to get done. I'm very particular on who does my toes and who sterilized their tools. Tip Top did an amazing job! My daughter got her feet done as well. I don't understand why this place is rated so high. I went in here before Christmas and wanted my acrylics cut down short and needed a fill. First of all I had an appointment for 10:30 AM and they didn't get to me till 11:05 AM. It wasn't Derreck or Nancy but the other gentleman that was there was horrible. I have to say that it was the worst nail experience I ever had in my whole entire life. Very stressful and painful. He cut me three times and towards the end the last cut was pretty bloody and he said it will just go away when I wash my hands. Also I don't understand the way he did things was really awkward and weird. Clearly he is just starting off but nobody should be charged while this guy is still learning. It took him almost 3 hours to do a simple fill that even Nancy came by and told me next time let me do your nails he's too slow. I just laughed it off and I simply just wanted to get the heck out of here. I was so upset that I didn't wanna waste anymore time or energy in here. I should've asked for my money back but I just never wanna go back to that place. The worst experience ever and my nails look like crap. Lastly I noticed the cleanliness in this place was horrible. When I started bleeding he continued to paint my nails rather than wiping it off, I was just like damn this is gross. how many other people did this happen to? Sorry one last thing is there was also a lady there getting a pedicure and Derrick kept talking about how she had extra skin on her feet to the point that he made her cry. I went on June 17, 2023 to get a pedicure. The guy that did my Pedi burnt my skin up with something he had in box. My legs and feet the skin has came off . His product he used peeled my skin off my leg and feet. I will not return there ever again. I will not recommend this spa to anyone. read more

She nail tech did a great job on my french, pink and white, polish change. It was a very comfortable little shop. Three words: DO NOT GO!! I do not understand how this place is rated so high on so many sites. I chose this place due to the high rating and was sadly disappointed on Google. I have been getting my nails/toes done for 13 years and this is one of the top 3 worst experiences I have ever had. Where do I begin? 1) Most importantly, my big toe was infected from the girl literally (not figuratively) RIPPING the skin down the side of the toenail. It was excruciating. She ripped a CHUNK of nail/skin away from my toe. Pedicures should be relaxing. 2) I requested a simple ombré. I showed them a picture and a video of it. They said yes, they could do it. Spoiler alert: They could not! 3) I told them if they didn't have time to do both my toes and nails I would prefer to only get my nails done. They didn't have time. I was there, I kid you not, from 5:30 to after 9:00! They close at 7:00 so it was a little ridiculous. Side note, two other girls around me were complaining about being there so long as well. 4) Woman asked me to pay before my nails were even done. I told her I didn't feel comfortable paying yet because I wasn't happy with my toes. She gave me an annoyed look, walked away, and started talking about me in another language. She never asked me once why I wasn't happy. 5) They never were able to do a design to my nails and kept making excuse after excuse. It was terribly uncomfortable, especially since the woman kept fussing at the man in front of me. It was in English so I know she wanted me to understand. I left with plain paint. I wanted a full set, they talked me out of it, and then didn't even cut them down. They were lumpy and rushed. The gel even came over the edges and was not properly filed off. The paint was thin and see through even with a darker color. 6) There was a baby crying constantly of one of the nail tech's. It was unprofessional and not relaxing. 7) I can cop it up as a loss if it was just a bad nail and paint job BUT due to the fact I was injured, I went back to show them my toe. They would never claim fault and basically made it out like it was somehow my fault. They said the girl doing the pedicure was doing her job... no, that isn't acceptable. The woman even attempted to use a metal utensil to dig in my toe.. I absolutely refused! She claimed it was an ingrowned toenail. I physically laughed. I have never had a problem with my feet and I keep them regularly maintained. She was not happy about that and I told her she wasn't a doctor that she was not touching my foot. She told me she had her license. I told her until she was a podiatrist she wasn't touching my foot. The woman even took my picture after I asked her not to. She was rude to me and kept making comments to me from her station. It was very unprofessional. They told me there were cameras in their salon showing I was happy when I left. I laughed and said let's see it then, because your cameras would show the opposite. It was all a sad attempt at a scare tactic. 8)Never would give me a refund for my pedicure. I told them I wasn't happy with my nails but I wasn't injured, so it was a loss; however, the pedicure needed to be refunded because I was injured and infected. They went back and forth about not being the owners and only being managers supposedly. Even though the day I was there they bragged they were the owners. 9) Truly, this doesn't even cover everything. Please heed my previous warning: DO NOT GO! read more

Such a cute store and such nice people! There was an issue with a customer and they handled it so well. The people there are so skilled and such kind souls. The price was fair but the service was excellent. It's a small store but they stay busy. It's definitely a place you'd like to stay and be.
