I went to Tip Toe Nails and I requested black square French tips for my nails and feet. They seemed to struggle with the concept of sharp square shape and french tip. I showed many pictures but after seeing they were not capable of doing it I just gave up, paid, and left. As I stared my nails they bothered me too much so called to make an appointment for a free fix. Instead of polite customer service I was met with yelling, defensiveness and they told me it would be an extra charge to fix their mistakes so I hung up. They were really nice and I loved my pedicure but it would be in this businesses interest to maybe stop watch dog videos on their iPads and watch french tip tutorials instead. It would have also built a long standing relationship with a customer had they met my concerns with grace, offered me a free fix, and a more detailed consultation of the photo I was wanting. If you want a deep and thorough pedicure, this is the place! But I will personally never let them touch my hands again. Here is a tip I will give this business : If you know you cannot provide a service or duplicate a photo, just tell the customer no with a smile and suggest something else. I've been going to Tip Toe Nails for over 7 years, and I truly can't recommend them enough! The customer service is consistently excellent--they always make you feel welcomed and cared for from the moment you walk in. The team is incredibly patient, attentive, and they really take their time to make sure every detail is just right. Tip- toe nails has been my go to place to get my nails and toes done. Every month I look forward to going for my self care. The ladies do a phenomenal job on detail and prep for the nail. I've always had great service here except for today. The nails look amazing and the women took their time to prep and polish the nail, but they skipped on my leg massage, foot massage, hot towels, and my hand massage because they had a few people waiting. I understand they weee busy, but you can't compromise the quality over quantity. I was very disappointed to not get any of the massages or the towels that I usually do. I even paid extra for the callus removal add on, but was not given my full service that I usually do. Like I said, this is very odd for them, but getting my nails and toes done is a pretty expensive treat for myself each month and getting the full service of massages and towels is a non-negotiable. OMG!! I can't believe the service at this place, the owner is so friendly;and I was able to come in even though I didn't make an appointment. At the time I came in it was slow, but once I had entered it got busy quick! My nails turned out phenomenally, although it wasn't exactly like the reference photo I had showed the nail-tech, she was able to work with two different images and combine the style. It turned better than I expected. I had cheated on my previous nail-tech to book here, as they were full and I'm glad I did as I will be coming here from now on. They are not only friendly but straight up. They make the work place seem very homely, and I was able to feel comfortable around them. read more

My mom has been going to this place for over ten years and I've come on and off, during that time, when I've been in a pinch with my nails. Today has absolutely been the worst experience of my nail life with this place. I had to get an old set removed. That was fine. I showed Tommy, the owner a picture of nails I wanted done and he said he thought he could do it and would try. Fine, I give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Firstly, he picks whatever red he wanted to, and doesn't even ask if it's okay. Fine, it can let that slide too. He then proceeds to just complete butcher the design on my finger and looks at me like if I'm crazy for not liking it. I tell him it's fine that I just want the nails all red and that I just wanted to leave, at this point. He acts like if I'm inconveniencing him by having him take the design off the two nails, on each hand that he prepped. Fine, I even let the attitude slide. He then asks me how I know he did it wrong. Now, I'm not a nail tech, but I've had my nails done religiously almost every two weeks for the past 12 years. I've been to nail techs far more talented and in so many different cities that I know when something just doesn't look right. By now I'm offended and just want to be done. He starts to repaint the four nails and doesn't even clean up the rest that he quickly had painted through. Once he's done he's like are they fine. They weren't but I just wanted to leave. My mom looks at them and gets mad for me. $45 for my hands to not even look like mine. The nails are huge, there's black chunks in a few of them, they're not filed properly, I have cuts on my nail beds, and overall it's just really crappy work. I wanted to like them. I wanted to give them another shot. But when a owner's ego is more important than the customer being happy, I draw a line. I won't ever be back here again. read more

"Great quality friendly staff"! I just moved into town and found this spot to get acrylics. The man did a great job! And the lady did great on my pedicure. I was very pleased that they didn't gossip in their mother tongue too. That is a huge deal maker for me. They did full set for $25 plus $5 for coffin style and he did a matte top coat for free. I usually don't leave reviews but I must for this one. I had went back to this same place a year later to get a simple white acrylics done. My pedicure was amazing and was done by this sweet lady. However for my manicure, the owner did my nails. I specified what i wanted and from there I felt very rushed. He did my nails very fast and was ready to get to other customers before finishing mine properly. I had white nail polish all around my nail, the clear coat didn't cover my nail properly. I asked a couple of times to get it fixed up and each time it was rushed. I was also asked to pay before i even got my nails done whereas others paid after. Just a horrible experience. I pay just like anyone else so I should get that same treatment and nails worth my money. I will attach pictures below. I first reviewed this location back in 2014 but I must say nothing has changed it's only improved. From the great prices to the quality service you will come back time and time again! Only 4 minutes from UNLV Mac center and 8 minutes from the strip. It's a great location, great if your just visiting or a local. I really wanted to like this place since they are so conveniently located, but I was a bit disappointed. The service was super friendly, but the place is in kind of a sketchy looking strip mall. Also, the salon is very clean, but the polishes all did seem pretty old and clumpy. If you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you... I was there about 10 minutes after 10 AM when they open, and it took almost 2 hours just for a pedicure. Not because there was a wait or anything, just because they don't work fast. I will say that the guy did scrub the heck out of my feet, which I do like, so I appreciate that, but the polish came out with lots of bubbles in it. Not a huge deal on your toes, except that I believe it makes the pedicure not last as long. I am less than a week out and it is already chipping off. I am happy to pay $25 for a pedicure, but if it lasts less than a week then it is not a very good value for me. read more

I want in for regular pedicure, first she didn't allow my feet to soak in the water she just immediately started working on my feet. She started checking if I had ingrown and I said yes. Personally I love this place. I agree with the reviews. It's a simple, no frills nail salon with great customer service and so far everyone has done a great job. I was coming here on my lunch hour for a gel manicure with Ly and she is amazing. Fast and high quality gel manicures. She always went above and beyond and repaired any broken/shorter nails so they always looked great. Today I came in for my first pedicure. If you are looking for a nice, clean and superb manicure/pedicure experience, this is the place to go! Tommy performed my pedicure and waxed my eyebrows with such excellence and precision! I was thoroughly pleased with his customer service and people skills-we talked for over an hour about the Dallas Cowboys and he was on point! Lee then did my manicure. She is so intelligent and taught me things about Vegas and UNLV but I mostly enjoyed our conversation about family. My nails were FANTASTIC! I described what I wanted and she nailed it, pun intended! I hopped off the plane from Dallas and caught the Uber to this spot, sight unseen. It was the best decision that I made for my vacation. I give them a double high five for a job well done. This place is gross!!! Not to mention they charge $30 for a fill and $30 for basic pedicure which would be expected at a high class salon where the technicians could actually paint design something. They painted over my cuticles and paint was so thick on my toes that it has waves in it. They asked me to wash my hands in my foot water, I don't usually write reviews but this place is a joke, I only came because my nails were long and needed to be cut down, I'm out of town and couldn't make it into my normal salon. The location is not the best, but I did grow up in that neighborhood, so I can't complain. Lie and her husband owns this establishment and they're very friendly to their costumers. One of my nails broke really bad and Lie fixed it right up with gel and it looked great. I've been to alot of places and once I tell them I'm diabetic, they don't clean my nails in fear they'll make me bleed and I've been so disappointed with services, like with this place called Aqua Salon in Henderson. Walked in for a fill and was told they could get me in. So I started telling the tech what I wanted and he quotes me prices that were much higher than the posted in the salon. Once we came to an understanding on a price he ripped my entire set off- anyone who has ever gotten them done knows this hurts, destroys your nail beds and they are supposed to be soaked off! But when I told him this I was told I need to quit questioning him and be grateful he's removing them for free. I ASKED FOR A FILL NOT A FULL SET. I went along with it because well I hate confrontation. Then he began filing. I mean it doesn't take a PHD to know which way fingers bend but the bruises on my fingers from him gripping and twisting them sure suggest he needs a little education! Again I just sucked it up and let him twist my fingers around while simultaneously cutting the cuticles on all my fingers. Before painting I was asked to pay probably because they didn't like i was arguing them for charging me more than the posted prices! Happily I paid because I just wanted to leave. After paying and adding no tip prior to receiving my services-I font believe that's fair I tip needs to be earned. The tech then painted my nails and put the next coat on before it was dry enough causing it to shrivel and clump. I asked them to fix it and they just did it again and accused me of intentionally ruining their work! This happened FOUR times before I finally got something descent looking. After THREE HOURS my nails looked okay enough to go out in public. They have signs posted in the salon that they will charge people before painting upon their discretion because of previous fraudulent activity. Well it might just be my common sense but maybe people are walking out without paying because your work looks like a second grader did it, you try to blame your customer for your lack of skill, or straight up cuz you have no idea what you're doing and are less friendly than Oscar the grouch. Here's the tip(s) you earned: 1. Don't be rude and do what your customer is asking. 2. Have consistent pricing so I know what I'm getting into. 3. LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB 4. Be gentle and courteous of what you are doing and acknowledge when you do something wrong. 5. Don't be fraudulent with your services and people might actually pay you for them. Hopefully they start reading their reviews before they get shut down because they probably should have been years ago-I wouldn't doubt not a single one has a legitimate license. Do not waste your time or money on this place! My nails looked better after dying Easter eggs when I was 5! read more
