We came in and it was not busy, which we aren't too used to, but we're glad. We went in for 3 pedicures to get my teen and her friend ready for school. I also needed one, so why not?! We were greeted immediately, seated immediately, and our techs were friendly. They got our pedicures done so fast, and got them done perfectly and relaxing. I like the change in the atmosphere here! I was able to relax along with their music and the screen they have playing instead of the 3 usual televisions we are used to. The owners came in and offered us water or soda, which is usual here when we come, and we got to see our favorite, Charlie! I'm still not sure why this place has the rating they do, we come all the way from Henderson to get our nails done because the service is awesome from full set, pedicure, to gen manicures. The price is worth it, they're ALWAYS open, and they hustle here to get you out as soon as possible. You can call ahead to make an appointment, or walk in and wait if they're busy, but they're always making time to get you taken care of and looking and feeling good after. Overall experience was severely underwhelming. Most of the pictures on their Yelp account seem to be either stock photos or taken from an Instagram account. If you look closely, there's a photo with a Instagram account scribbled out. You can see the edges of an "@" sign. If I give the benefit of the doubt and let's say that it is the owners work, the employees don't know how to complete the work. I had an appointment at 2:30pm, didn't get seated until 3:00pm. I understand businesses may be hurting due to COVID, and may be taking every client they get, but to be pushed back by 30 minutes is a lot; especially if you have other plans. Anyways, I showed them the photo that's on their Yelp account of the purple acrylics with butterfly stickers (looks like it's possibly Sculpted nails), and the gentleman told me he could do it. Upon getting to the point where the butterflies are applied, I knew the tech didn't know what he was doing. He tried 3 times to get the butterfly to stick to my nail. 1. He pressed the plastic to my nail & realized it didn't stick. 2. He put paint on my nail and did the same step again. 3. After applying acrylic, he cut out the butterfly, stuck it on the acrylic and then laid another layer of acrylic over it. This caused the plastic from the butterfly to poke through the acrylic and the nails were lumpy and cloudy by the end. The female working was sweet, she did a great job on my toes. I had her file down the messed up nails (4 of them) and paint over it with a solid color because they were terrible. Meanwhile, I watched an 8 minute YouTube tutorial on this practice and he did everything wrong. Prior to me leaving the gentleman told me it was because I got a shorter length than in the picture. That's obviously not the case. He doesn't know how to apply the stickers, period. A quick YouTube tutorial showed me everything he did wrong. I will not come back. My appointment was at 3:00PM and they didn't start on me till 4PM. Then there were these two women talking loud and about prostitution and stuff I didn't mind it but it was just too loud so I couldn't even relaxed. Everything went good up until i had to pay, it came out to 85$ and I got regular manicure which was 30$ (gel) and pedicure 30$ (gel) and they charged another 20$ because it was "gel" so initially it was only suppose to be 60$ and they just added another 20$ just because they wanted to. I was a little sketch at first but honestly Charlie did an amazing job. He was very gentle and made sure everything was perfect . He was even giving me tips on how to take care of my nails so they don't break I showed them a reference picture (1st picture) and he was very patient. So I definitely recommend asking the nail technicians to see they're previous work before you let them do your nails. I'm not saying they aren't good but one of the technicians was being very careless. I had to ask her to reshape almost all of my nails and after almost being there for two hours I was fed up and just wanted to be done so I let her paint them and I left. If possible I'd show the entire video of the owner cussing at my boyfriend for asking the manicurist to fix a jagged edge she left. My manicure is uneven but honestly didn't think it was worth the time to ask for the correction considering the owner slammed something on his table and walked out. He then came back and dropped several F bombs and tried to involve another girl getting her nails done. All of this before lunging at us like he was going to hit us for asking for a simple request. I came to get my acrylic nails removed- he was so rough with my nails. When he was clipping them shorter, he was going hard that the part that is glued to your nails/acrylic powder broke off And then when he was using the electric file to drill off the acrylic powder- he'd go so deep and burned my nail plate that I told him just stop. I'll soak them off with acetone if there's remmenants. All he had to do was use an orange stick instead of keep drilling flat and removing layers of my nail I took them off myself last time- took me 2 hrs but do it. The nail lady told me that she knew how to do my design and when she started I told her it was wrong and she argued with me and then said maybe I should choose a different design.. ummm excuse me?? Worst customer service EVERRR!!!! I've been here numerous times and every time you go they charge a different price once your nails are done. Charlie tried to come towards me while I was with my 8 year old daughter because I called the lady out for doing my nails "medium" when I told her I wanted short. The lady tried to say I accepted the "medium" nails once she cut them down and as a nail tech if a customer is asking for short nails that is your job to make them short per the customers request. Charlie got in my face and said "you don't call her a liar" and was mad that I told the lady you don't treat existing customers that way and it's not right. Meanwhile I had already gave the lady my card to charge and she had already swiped it after she told me she did "medium" because I said the length was okay being I already told her from the beginning SHORT. Charlie tried to tell me to go to the chair so he take my nails off and I already had paid. Worst customer service EVER. I do NOT recommend for anyone to go and definitely lost a loyal customer for trying to be greedy when you don't do customers that way. so i came here on saturday 3/6/21. the first thing i'd like to start off at was i made my appointment for 7:50pm, when i arrived i wasn't in the chair getting my pedicure until 8:45pm. i got a gel pedicure and when they asked me about my water temp i asked for it to be hotter and they informed me that it will get hotter just to wait, but it did not. so i told the lady working that night that i wanted it hotter and that's when she said something under her breath and walked away for a while 10 minutes before coming back and changing my water and this time it was extremely hot to the point it was blistering and i asked her to please cool it down, she then seemed even more aggravated. i asked for acrylic on one of my toes and white gel paint and the shape of my toenails are ALL crooked. not one is filed straight. it seemed like she blazed through my pedicure as the actual pedicure only took about 15-20 min as the rest of the time was just WAITING. as far as my nails go, charlie was super aggressive and seemed like he was working in a hurry to get me out of his salon as fast as possible. he cut my nails very short from the beginning and i told him that i usually get my nails longer. that's when he explained to me even if i were to get it 1/4 of a centimeter longer it would go from $50 to $70 and up from there. at this point they only gave me a book of colors. i wanted designs but they made me feel like they weren't willing nor experienced. i have a strong feeling the nail sets posted on this page saying "charlie's work" and "done by charlie" are not his real pics of his work. i feel as if they are over priced and just not nice people. they kept telling me ridiculous up charges that were no where posted on the pricing menu. really disappointed i tried this place out. will never be coming back and most def telling everybody about this place and my experience there. read more
