The technician cut my skin during the prosses of a soak off and still requested I place my hand in acetone after the abrasion. When we first walked in my mom asked for powdered the man said that they did offer that service. And then we had to do shellac cause our feet were already in the water we got shellac and not powder. I arrived with my two sisters. One sister was getting acrylics, the other one was a pedi, and a pedi for me. For some reason or another the technician attempted to segregate my sister and myself. I thought it was odd they didn't want us to sit together; however, it became clear two of their chairs were broken. Not a big deal, these things happen. Frankly it doesn't bother me because I can understand but they should have said something. My guy was in a hurry you can tell. He asked if I wanted to cut my toe nails shorter, I said no. He cut them anyways, and said "Oh' sorry I forgot". Again, not a big deal. Truthfully, I probably needed them to be cut anyways. Then he cut me...not once but twice. Generally, I wouldn't challenge someone in their profession but after being cut twice... it was time to step up. I said "Sir, you cut me twice. The cuts hurt, can you please pay special attention and slow down". He mumbled something. He did infact slow down, so that's a positive. I did notice after he put on the desired toe polish, he left on the old polish. You could see straight thru it. I asked for it to be re-done, and he magically disappeared into the back. He didn't return for a good 15 minutes. I didn't have time to wait. I paid and left 0 tip. The treatment: The treatment was okay. If you have had a pedicure before, it is pretty run of the mill. We started off by soaking feet into the water. After a while, they began to scrub the bottom of my feet, getting all the dead skin off. Then he massaged my foot for about 2 minutes per foot. He had a fresh orange and I believe lemon. He rubbed that on my feet. The citrus is such a nice treat. From there, he added clear nail polish and my chosen color. Let dry, and I was all done. Star rating: 1 out of 5 stars. I took off 2 stars because he cut me twice. 1 star because he didn't bother to take off old polish. 1 star because he couldn't be bothered to correct his mistake. Once we walked in, there was a gentleman who asked us what we wanted (pedicures) and we sat down in the chairs. The pedicure itself was below average. Worst I have experienced in the Midland/Odessa area. The lady who did my pedicure took maybe 10-15 minutes max on them. She was too busy talking with the lady next to her. My sisters pedicure started before mine, yet my pedicure was finished 10 minutes before my sisters. I asked her how much my pedicure, without massage would be and she said "$50" but with a very strong accent, sounded like "bibty".. so I simply asked her to repeat herself just to make sure my assumption was correct and then she started yelling "cinquenta!" in Spanish to my face.
