From the moment I walked in it was all smiles from all staff. I got a pedicure, they did a GREAT job!!!! I also got a manicure and they preserved my real nails! I was very excited to try this place because it had good reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. I made an appointment a few days in advance. I showed up a few minutes early and the front desk person immediately told me to sit down and did not acknowledge that I had said I had made an appointment. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, I got up and asked how much longer it would be. The person at the front desk was quite rude. I had been going there for more than 6 months seeing the manager for my nails. I called on a Friday morning about 10 am to see if she could maybe squeeze me in. She had always been very sweet, not that day! She said she had a headache to which I expressed my sympathies and said I would call the following week. That wasn't enough for her, she raised her voice and told me not to call her on the "weekend " ever again, to which I replied again, I will call you next week, she again in a raised and angry voice said do not call on the "weekend" ever again! This salon is open on Fridays regularly and Saturdays. I think a manager has no excuse to raise their voice to a patron! read more

Then I finished off with a pedicure from Kim and saying that it was the best pedicure hands down I have ever had in my life is an understatement. I went with high expectations from the good reviews but I left very upset. They don't sanitize anything, they use the same nail file & buffers over and over, no matter what station your at. Visited Midland Nail Lounge for the first time today with my husband. My husband and I got pedicures and I got a full set of acrylic nails. We had an appt at 4, Kevin the manager was so kind to make sure we were seated shortly after 4, and continued to apologize for the wait. We didn't feel like we had to wait that long for how busy they were on a Saturday afternoon. Our pedicures were amazing, my husband said it was the best pedicure massage he's ever had. The chairs were super comfortable. Kevin did my acrylic nails to my specific request for a pink & blue ombré for our new baby coming soon, and they were the best I've had done since moving to Midland. Definitely go visit them!! I went in for a pedi. I opted for a slight expensive one around $56 is what I think the "menu" said. I wanted to treat my self after all. They guy who did my pedicure seriously couldn't have cared any less than he did. He kept disappearing for one. And when he was actually there he half assed his one job and cut too deep on two of my toes. I left an hour and half later - he was working on my feet for maybe a total of 30 mins of that time - and opted out of the polish because he just didn't give a fly and the wasted time was enough to drive someone mad. My friend called earlier today and was able to score 3 appointments at 1:30 for us. We walked in and got seated at the desks about 10 minutes later. I had acrylics from another salon when I walked in and they soaked them off being very careful to protect my natural nails. Once those were off, she gently filed my nails and started applying the acrylic. She was very particular about the way they were shaped and confirmed I liked it before she continued. It's been a few months since my last visit here. I used to come to Midland Nail Lounge exclusively, but after today's visit I probably won't. I came in and was given 3 minutes to review 7 color books. I showed a example of what I wanted- simple in shape and style. I had to argue with the lady doing my nails about my shape several time. It got to the point another employee had to take the file and show her what I was talking about. I left with dirty fingers and jelly bean nails. They are uneven, different lengths, and oddly shaped. Even after me pointing these things out, she made excuses of her doing what I asked. I simply ask that my nails be something my technician would have. I'm from LA and unfortunately my resource which is Yelp doesn't really help in Midland as it's not as used here than in other bigger cities. I'm surprised that this salon only has a few reviews. This place overall was was great: clean, quick and price wise is similar to other I have checked. It is a bit busy and from moments a bit hectic around the salon but after seeing my nails, I get it. This place was outstanding. The nail salon is very clean, and it smells clean when you walk inside not like the typical nail shop smell. I enjoy high quality services regardless of the price. The pedicure here was very good! Kimmy services me and it was done very very well and she gave me a shoulder massage at the end. Absolutely no complaints. The polish was done very good everything came out nice! I walked in was greeted right away sat down and they begin working on me. I would definitely recommend this place if you want high quality service in a clean sanitized environment. All of the pedicure bowls had plastic wrap around them and sanitize paper for the seats. We have been going here for over 6 months and go every two weeks and lately, when we walk in for a mani/pedi, the manager on a couple of occasions will tell one girl Macy to do it and she flat out refuses and then speaks in her language and has the whole place talking. I have been going to Midland Nail Lounge for several years and until recently I was always happy with the services I received. However, the last couple of times have not been great and today was the last straw for me. The last time I went in, I got a pedicure and the lady was visibly in a bad mood and in a BIG hurry. My pedicure was just so-so and I left there bleeding because she didn't take her time and cut me with the cuticle removers. I went by today and even though it was early, the door was open and sign was on so I went inside. There was one guy was doing a manicure and he was SO rude. I was explaining what I wanted and all he did was bark at me and then told me to sit down. I believe his name was Danny. I got on my phone and started looking up other nail salons. Fortunately, a very nice woman came and got me and did a great job on my nails. I wish I had gotten her name. All that being said and considering there is practically a nail salon on every corner of this town I will begin looking for a new business to go to. read more

I got my last mani/pedi at 39 weeks by Lisa. She was SO SWEET and accommodating!! She was so gentle and kept asking if I was comfortable/felt okay. I don't get my nails done often but wanted to treat myself and my mom for my birthday. Tried this place out and it was nice and clean. We just walked in and they seated us right away. Really liked my guy, he was kinda fast but it didn't feel rushed and he seemed to pay attention to detail. Ive had better, more pampering hand massages but he cleaned up my cuticles well and and I'm happy with the polish. Had a really bad experience here. Henry did a horrible job on my daughter's nails. I tried to get him to make it right but he just pointed at my 12 year old daughter and said " your fault, not my fault" as he walked away. Now we have to find somewhere else to go.
