I went today to get my nails done and it started out okay. I was a walk in and they sat me immediately! I loved that. I showed the tech the color inspo, nail art(I never do nail art), and the shape from my personal photos. I said I wanted my square nails to be a bit rounder than they were in the photos. I believe the tech's name was Sam, started working and she started cutting them down. From the pinky nail the length looked great, so I said to go on. We got to maybe the end of my first hand and I wasn't a huge fan and before I could do more, she started cutting the other hand. When I examined I said, "they are a bit shorter than I was expecting, but I may be able to make them work." Trying to be okay with it, and her response was very abrupt and said, "you should've said you didn't like them before I began." I was uncomfortable and tried to assure her I'd make it work. I put in an AirPod and grabbed my kindle to read so that I could just calm down. She starts the nail polish and the little design. I'll post it below. The design is a trident and she did it upside down at first. I said something about how I wanted it a different way, BEFORE she put the top coat on and she looked at me and said yet again, "you should have told me before I started." I guess in my head it's common sense I'd want the design facing up not towards me. She finished, I paid & tipped even though I though she was unkind and didn't listen to what I wanted, and left. I got in my car and bawled. They did not look how I wanted, AND she was snippy with me twice. I got home and had my husband call to see if we could get a soak off and refund because i was so unhappy. I had him call because hours later i was still really upset. My husband called and I couldn't hear what was happening but my husband was trying to say I felt I had to be agreeable due to the reactions of the tech. I asked him to hand me the phone & I explained everything that happened and how I did agree because I was snapped at. They said I could come back and they'd refund and do a soak off(that's important to know). I got there before the time they asked me to come(6:45 is when I got there. 7 is when they asked me to come back.) I was not late, and they said when I got there, "we can cut the tips off and refund you, or you can soak off and pay $15." So in other words if I wanted everything off they'd rescind my refund. So I took the option I'm assuming they didn't want me to take, and now I'm refunded & have no top tips on my nails. I'm frustrated with the lack of accountability and that I am the issue because I didn't speak up, even though I did and was snapped at. I tell her mani pedi and she's like "sit in chair 12" I'm like well let me explain that my mani is powder on my original nail so I'd like them soaked off because I want to keep my original nail and she she's like yeah yeah we can do it or a fill depending on color just sit on chair 12 .. okay cool. I sit down to get my pedicure started by a different older lady. Once that's over she moves me to a chair next to the original lady who told me they could do my nails. I pick out a colour and my lady comes back with nail polish. I said i want powder not paint and I'll like to do the same version I have now. So the two start talking in their native language. And I know they're talking about me. It's blatant. They both turn to me and the original lady was like well we have to take this all off and it takes time. To which I responded I understand and I told you when I came in I don't mind the time or the pay, I just want them done properly. She's like well we don't have time we can just paint over this (it's 2pm on a dead, post-Christmas afternoon and there is only 2 other people in there getting their nails done) and I'm like no, my current colour is darker than the one I want, it's going to show threw. They both then tell me to pick a darker colour because they all of a sudden can't do powder anymore. The older lady who did my pedicure says she doesn't know how to do powder and the original lady didn't seem to care to help and insisted I pick a different colour polish to paint over my current colour. I said no, that's not what I want and it defies the point. My current colour is growing out. You can't just paint on it and make i look professional! and that's fine that you can't do it anymore I'll just pay for my pedicure and get my mani done else where, it would have been nice if you told me from the get go and not lied saying you could do it. And neither of them seemed to care much. The older lady said she was sorry I'm like it's not your fault you don't know how to do manicures when she told me you guys did so I'll just pay for my pedicure and be on my way. I pay with a card, that they charge a 3% fee for by the way, and the receipt comes out with half the info missing, I ask for a better copy. The original lady gets on the phone for 15 minutes with whom I assume was the manager and then says to me she can't do anything about it and I can just keep the one you can't read or come back a day later to get a printed copy of my receipt when the manager is in. I said not to worry, I won't be back. The whole experience and transaction was very rude and short. Like I was an inconvenience to them as a customer. I was very clear from the moment I walked in that I wanted a manicure and a pedicure and was very honest up front to tell her from the get go that I have powder on my original nails and would like to do the same with a new colour and time wasn't an issue. She kept saying yes yes we can do it or a fill it won't be a problem. And then all of a sudden it's this issue to where they're talking down to me/about me in front of me and now can't seem to do it anymore. I prefer getting my services done under the same transaction. I even said time wasn't an issue. If she would have been honest with me from the beginning I would have made other arrangements. Definitely don't recommend going to this place. I'm sure midland has plenty of other places who have nicer staff. I'll have to do some more research and find one that can do powder/dip manis without being rude or lying about it just to get you in a chair for one service. read more

Wonderful service start to finish! Staff is friendly and attentive. I was able to get right in and get exactly what I wanted. My nails turned out absolutely perfect! I've tried many nail salons around Midland and this now my favorite and go to! My nails have held up beautifully even after a few weeks. No lifting or breaking. Highly recommend! read more

Me and my friend came here and got our nails done. I got a manicure with Jacob and he did a great job! He took his time and didn't rush through it like a lot of other places I've been. The staffing was great. Everyone was so kind. My friend had Jason and he did some nail art on her. She came in with a reference picture and he did way beyond our expectations. New place, just opened last week. Very clean, friendly, and offered water and even a chocolate. Used clean tools and did a great job on my prediction and nails. I got gel polish (shellac) on both hands and feet. This was one of the times when reviews bit me in the backside. I was visiting Midland, and due to my busy schedule, decided to get a fill and gel pedi, as there wouldn't be time when I passed through home. I read reviews on different sites about different salons, and settled on Nail Lounge. I read that they had Covid-19 protocols in place and had fair prices. I also saw pictures of designed nails. Covid-19 protocols? Where? Some of the staff didn't even wear masks, and I was the only customer who did. Customers were not asked to wash their hands or even use sanitizer upon arrival. I don't believe I observed them wiping down chairs between customers. Fair prices? $60 for a gel pedi is fair? They charged an extra $20 just for gel. Designs? Those must be stock photos that they advertise. I asked the tech what type of designs they do, and they said I needed to show a picture, which I did. See the pics below. I asked for the pic that has the colorful hand-painted designs. I got, well you see the mess I got. The tech justified it by saying he wanted to do something elegant. First, it's far from elegant. If you weren't planning to provide what I requested, why send me through the trouble of finding a picture. After all of that, the supposedly gel polish started chipping within a few days. I really thought I did my due diligence by reading lots of reviews on different salons. I've had success in the past in going to nail salons during my travels. This time it didn't work. Im new to the area and really wanted to get my nails done for the holidays. I travel a lot so I always use yelp to help me decide on places to go and the reviews help a lot. I decided to go to the Nail Lounge, it looked very nice in the pictures, good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I went in with my little one and we were immediately greeted and asked what I needed. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and said they would be with me in a couple of min. I was asked if I wanted something to drink. I waited maybe 10-15 min. I forgot to ask the name of the nail tech but he got it perfect! Loved the ombre, the size was perfect, the shape and I didn't end up with scratchy ,rough nails. I was so happy and very pleased with their service. The truth about this place from an experienced pedicure receiver - My boyfriend and I came in were sat immediately for a pedi, water was filled but bubbles weren't started till 15 minutes into sitting down. The service wasn't started for another 10 minutes by then the water was lukewarm. As the service went on the warmth of the hot towel and stones were also lukewarm. The only thing that I think they did well was the clause removal. No massaging when applying the sugar scrub or "lotion". The man that did mine was constantly going into the back to retrieve things while he was absent minded and preoccupied the entire time watching television or just acting spacey between steps of the service. Meanwhile I've received many high-end pedicures for much less money with more massage, attention to detail and products applied. Gloves weren't put on for half of the treatment and only half of the tools were in sterile bags. The massage chairs were the worst I've ever experienced barely feeling and thing and was hard to adjust with the few settings it has. The only reason why I am giving two stars is that the place appeared very fancy featuring a chandelier and pleasant decor. The service I chose was the Jelly Pedicure for $55. Very disappointing. It's becoming my regular nail place. I tend to hop around due to scheduling but I've been here twice now and really like it. The regular pedicure was great and yes, they have wine and sodas etc. They also have a ton of colors to choose from and they have the matching sets of regular nail polish with the gel. I get my toes done with normal and my nails with gel and I hate it when salons have a tiny selection of regular polish. Jason did my nails the first time and now he's my favorite. He is very fast but his work is almost perfect. He's great at nail art and his acrylic skills are amazing. He actually takes time to soak the nails to remove and not rip them off like most impatient artists. I feel like my nail health will improve with him. The salon is very pretty and clean and in a nice area. Employees are all very nice. Everyone's workstation looks very sanitized and cleaned. Prices are very fair, I've paid more for less quality here. read more

2.5 hours and $78 for a classic pedicure and dip manicure (that had to be refinished because I was told to wash my hands too early and it messed up the manicure). They couldn't get the shape I wanted and had to fix it when I got home (nothing difficult, a narrowed square shape). Honestly I haven't left a salon that upset in a few years knowing that I paid about $100 with the tip, and tried to kindly work with the manicurists to get the shape and quality I wanted. After all of that though I won't be coming back because 2.5 hours for a mani/pedi is ridiculous compared to my 45 min (and of better quality) I get in my home town. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the facility and tools were clean. read more
