I usually don't review a place until I've been there at least twice. This is the first time I'm reviewing solely on first impressed, and I gotta say that I am thoroughly impressed with this place!! I got a gel mani which lasted more than the usual 2 weeks and a spa pedi which still looks like I got them done yesterday. They were fast and incredibly professional. Don't judge a book by its cover, the place isn't the best looking, but the quality of customer service and nail work is excellent!!! Terrible, filthy salon with chairs that had sticky armrests and just disgusting floors and sinks but I was in a bind, set to leave for a vacation and in desperate need of a pedicure and I couldn't find anywhere else that was open and had something available. If I could give them negative stars I would. This place charged a gel price for my toes even though I just got regular pedi. I didn't realize they overcharged until much later because my best friend paid for the bill. Also, they charged for gel nail polish and they only gave me a regular Manicure. I definitely wanted gel. I don't do my nails often so I wasn't sure if they were doing the gel right but I got it done on August 9th and on the 11th they were already chipping and coming off. They said it would last two weeks and it barely lasted 2 days. My nails were painted unevenly. The nail polish didn't even cover the whole nail. The nails were meant for my wedding pictures and I was afraid to show my nails close up. It was horrible. This place will rob you. Please do yourself a favor and stay away! read more

This place used to be my go to nail spot, but after the last few experiences I've had there, I will not be going back. My husband and I went yesterday for Mani's and pedi's. We both selected the most expensive package. We were very excited to relax but unfortunately they rushed through both of us. My husband was done within fifteen minutes. I understand there is less to do on his feet, but the massage alone was supposed to be 15 minutes. In addition, they forgot the cooling mask for both of us. The biggest issue was how my nails turned out after the lady painted them. There are lines in all of my nails and parts where the paint bunches up, like she had used too much polish on one half of my nail and not enough on the other half. For 140 bucks, I'm upset at what we received. I should have complained there, but I just wanted to leave. Giving 2 stars because the ladies are nice and the place is clean. read more

I chose this nail salon based on the great Yelp reviews, but I urge those that think highly of this place to reconsider. Within minutes of walking into the salon, the staff insulted the customer who walked in before me. They probably were unaware that I understand and speak Vietnamese too because they insulted me and everyone else in the nail salon for the duration I was there. Came here for a fill after the place around the corner turned me away, and told me that they were booked the entire week. Stopped in to the Tip n Toe an hour and a half before they closed to see if they could do my fill. I hadn't had a fill in 4 weeks, and really needed one. There was no way I could wait a whole week. Anyway, I walked in and everyone at Tip n Toe was very friendly and accommodating even though it was so close to closing. Karen did my fill, she was very gentle and took her time to do a good job. A couple times she went back to re-due a spot that she saw was not perfect. I did not say anything, she decided to fix those spots on her own so that my nails came out good. I really appreciated how particular she was while working. Karen was so sweet, she stayed 15 minutes past closing to finish my nails. And she did not rush or do a sloppy job just because it was time for her to go home. Other places will rush and finish up your nails as fast as possible in order to finish so they can go. But Karen did not. She was very gentle while doing my nails, and did not make me bleed (which seems to happen often for me no matter where I go)... Good experience overall, I will go back. $20 for a fill and $5 for design. read more

WOW, where can I even begin with how HORRIBLE this place is! Came in around 930 to get an eyebrow wax, wasn't really greeted - just kind of stared at expectantly (I guess?), told them what I wanted and was then ushered into a small room. I've had my eyebrows waxed before and they all turned out okay, BUT THIS WOMAN ***BUTCHERED*** my brows. First off, she didn't even ask me what I wanted and just started putting wax on my brows. The actual shape and cleaning was fine, but she BURNED my skin around the hair which left a significant red burn marks around my brows. By the time I left, my eyebrows were in so much pain and I literally had to ice them for almost an hour. Come to think of it, I didn't even see a cosmetologist license that is supposed to be visible at all times by law. I had a photo shoot that day as well - good thing I had an amazing makeup artist who was able to cover up the mess. In summary, DO NOT GO HERE EVER. They are not professional by any means. read more

This was the first time my boyfriend had a pedicure so I had to twist his arm to come telling him he will love it after.... boy was I wrong! We both got the same pedicure option except mine was twice as long as his! Most shops either give you the quick service and want you out asap or the shops themselves leave a lot to be desired. She then butchered my nails! Like seriously just kept shaving them down and down - and this is the manager! - past where my nail bed begins! Very painful, also... not cute. Also didn't shave down my manicure smoothly, so it's way too raised AND doesn't even go to all the way to the cuticle. Wanted a relaxing day to finally do my nails, and instead came to this place where there was a barking dog, the same lady doing my nails went over and got mad at a lady telling her she couldn't do what the lady wanted, said with major attitude. Hello I have been trying nail places out that do the gel nails on my fingers. This place has been the best so far. The gentleman was great and they look amazing. I did the french tip look and people have been asking me if they are fake nails. Should say that my finger nails are really short so for people to think they are long is great.
