Absolutely appalling customer service. I have been going to nail salons for years and have never…read morebeen treated with such disrespect the second I walked through the door. I arrived around 4:22 PM, and after seeing signage on the door stating they closed at 5:00 PM, I walked in to double-check their hours. I asked, "you all close at 5?" to which a man replied that they actually close at 5:30 PM and asked what services I needed. Before I could even finish my sentence to explain that I just needed a single nail fixed, he raised his hand and rudely cut me off mid-sentence, shouting, "NO, not that, we can't do that!" He had absolutely no idea what service I was asking for before deciding to shut me down. I hadn't even fully closed the entrance door behind me before being met with an outright interruption. When you work in a client-facing business, basic courtesy is expected. To interrupt a customer before they can even state a simple request is completely unacceptable. If you are looking for quality care and basic respect, Waterfall Nail Spa is definitely not the place to go. Save your time and money and go somewhere that actually values customer service.

DESIREE IS A TRUE ARTIST!…read more This was my first time at the salon and I have to say that I'm now a fan! I saw Desiree for a full set (gel x) and a pedi. She is gentle, detailed and a true artist! I was lucky enough to sit next to her other client who had a beach themed set of nails that was so creative and fun! Desiree made me feel comfortable and right at home with her kindness and hospitality. She even made me a special tea with orange peels and honey. I love my pedi and my mani is totally unique and beautiful. She spent time doing nail art in cat eye paint and then put a chrome over it. The effect is very subtle and unusual in a good way. I'll definitely be back and will tell friends about this salon right next door to Sherman Oaks (fraction of the price) and Latina owned too! :)) This is exactly the type of small business I want to support. They're doing excellent work and it's family owned and operated, which feels warm and friendly, not stiff and corporate.

Unfortunately, once I was seated with the nail technician, the experience completely changed. She was extremely rude and seemed annoyed whenever I asked for something. I came in to have a broken nail repaired and get a refill, and I specifically asked for square-shaped nails. The final result was honestly terrible. Every nail was a different shape and length--some were square, some were round, some were short, some were long--and they were also very thick and uneven. They looked nothing like what I asked for. At the end, I simply asked if she could apply two coats of the final top coat, and her response and attitude were incredibly rude. I go to get my nails done to relax, feel good, and enjoy being pampered. Unfortunately, this was the worst nail experience I've ever had. The poor attitude combined with the quality of the work made the entire experience extremely unpleasant. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.

Let me first say that I have my nail license so I have some authority on what a nail experience…read moreshould be. I initially left a positive review, but that was a year ago and even then, every time I came back, the service was worse and worse. My OG nail tech Ella left and each time I had my nails done by someone new it seemed as if they'd never done nails before. Come to think of it I didn't notice licenses displayed in the salon, but I could be misremembering. Regardless, my final visit was because a nail tech filed off my pedicure gel so aggressively that I was almost in tears. NAILS SHOULDN'T HURT. Well, I guess it's on me that I went back. My son wanted a mani pedi and it's nearby so we went. I assumed when I sat down that there were multiple techs working, but no...it was one woman. Our nails (two mani/pedis) took 2.5 hours. She was very sweet but also seemed new. She applied a fake nail to one of my fingers and ended up ripping the builder gel off my finger. She then applied a gel x which worked fine. During my pedicure I pointed out that I had a blister on the pad of my big toe so no callus treatment, but she wouldn't listen. She did the callus on my heel then started on the area with the blister and WOULD NOT STOP. I had to pull my foot away and say "ENOUGH! No more!" Again, this is all as my child is there and dying to get nails so I'm just trying to get through it. The cuticles on my toes are red and sore today. I'm really disappointed. While we were there a woman came in with her gel x nails broken that she got done on Saturday, two days before. Finally, the manager or owner --idk...male-- was vaping inside the salon. Insane. To add insult to (literal) injury...the whole thing cost me $200. Girl. And that was with discounts like not charging me for the nail she ripped off my finger I guess. Then when I went to add a tip -- always tip 20%! -- I told the guy behind the counter to give her $40. That's what 20% of $200 is and outside of my foot, she worked very hard and my son LOVED her. The manager dude looked at me and had the nerve to whisper "No! That's too much!" Like...if I knew my manager tried to talk someone out of tipping me after 2.5 hours of work are you EVEN kidding me. I'm sure she works on commissions so tips help to make up for a slow day. Like I said, I have my license and I've worked in salons and had my own business for a while. So, yeah...last time ever. 2 stars because my nails do look good but I shouldn't have been in pain and it shouldn't have taken 2.5 hours.

I'm really disappointed in how this salon handles feedback. During my service, my technician became…read morevisibly annoyed when I didn't like the mixed color (mixed color that usually makes it harder to visualize the final result) she suggested. To avoid further tension, I picked a different color under pressure. I contacted them afterward, and the response was incredibly unprofessional. Management argued with me via text, citing "camera footage" to claim I wasn't actually uncomfortable. It's a shame that being polite and "smiling" while leaving is being used against me to deny that the service was tense. They offered a small discount for a redo ($15 instead of $25), but at this point, I'd rather go to a salon where the staff is actually friendly and I don't have to argue with management just to be heard. Edit: The owner ignored my private text regarding a technician speaking poorly about me, yet chose to respond publicly instead. This lack of professionalism is exactly why I requested a female technician. Furthermore, at no point was I offered a redo or even a basic apology for the hostile environment. Beware: if the staff is comfortable speaking negatively about clients in the salon, your experience won't be any different. Check the attitude before this business fails. RIP and good luck

I have been going here specially for Amy for almost 4 years now. Amy is by far the best tech this…read moreshitty salon has as she is efficient, fast & knows exactly what a customer wants. However the broad who owns this salon, is a piece of crap. Two different occasions I had the exact same thing happen to me. First time was on my BIRTHDAY, where I had an appointment set & the owner (who claims she's only the manager by the way) gave me that time & said Amy is available. I go in, Amy was doing another customers nails. I waited 40 minutes before my cup got full & I walked out of this salon. 2 mins later the owner calls me begging me to go back and then Amy called me saying she's so sorry that they double booked her appointments. The owner doesn't know jack shit about customer satisfaction, keeping customers happy or anything. All she cares about is money as she accepts anyone who walks in through those doors but yet doesn't give a rats ass about people who have actual appointments. Yet again, today I called for an appointment with Amy. Unfortunately again the owner answered. She gave me a time for 7:40. & she said Amy will be free. 7:10 came around, I called to see if Amy IS actually going to be available because I don't want to go & wait again for 40 minutes like the last time. But this time the owners sister answered the phone and she said wait let me confirm with Amy. She confirmed with Amy & she got back on the line with me saying 'no Amy can't take you at 7:40 because she's been busy all day today but you can come at 9pm'. I'm sorry, what? 9pm? Your boss sets up appointments for her employees at certain times yet last minute you want to change the time from 7:40 to 9pm? Never will I be stepping a foot in this salon again after the amount of disrespect I've received from the owner herself. I can go on & on about lot of other things I've encountered within the last 4yrs of being a customer here but I'd rather let the Better Business Bureau handle it moving forward. Amy, if you see this. One day when you decide to move to a better salon with better ownership & not someone who's gonna put so much pressure on you & constantly over book you just for her own profit, let me know. I'll come back to you. But other than that, I will never be stepping foot into this salon ever again.
