The boat was clean and the people at the office were very professional. The crew for the boat were nice and knowledgeable. The Captain was very experienced and knew the route and we never had any issues with standing to get better views. The views were great, the Sahara dust storm made the sunset even more vibrant. Wow, we had so much fun! Captain Howard and his crew, Jess, Jamie, and Shelby were just fantastic. They made us feel welcome and special. They serve beer, wine, sodas, and margaritas on this cruise. The margaritas were amazing. While sailing around, we got close to the lighthouse and downtown and we actually did see dolphins! This was a relaxing 90 minute cruise on a beautiful day. When the cruise was done, we ate at Beaches restaurant in the marina, per Captain Howard's recommendation. While sitting there having an early dinner, we were talking about the sunset cruise that they had mentioned that started at 6 o'clock. More people, live band, and you get to see the sunset. And it was an extra 30 minutes. We had so much fun on the daytime cruise. We decided to book the sunset cruise as well! That was a whole different vibe. A lot more people and lively entertainment. While it was fun and the sunset was amazing I think I prefer the daytime one. Not as many people and more intimate with the crew or whoever you are with. We booked our tour a week in advance. It was easy to find parking, and pretty easy to find the…read moreright dock and boat. Once we got there, we were assigned seats. Despite the booking saying arrive 15 minutes early or miss the boat, people still showed up after the time, and got on. We left around noon with approximately 10 people on board. We drove out to the inlet, and a bunch of dolphins were seen playing in the water. There was a bunch, we stopped and watched them form about 10-15 minutes, playing, splashing, jumping up catching fish. It was a good experience. We toured around for a little bit, seeing the old fort, hearing history of the city. The guides recommended restaurants near the water front, and returned to the dock. The tour lasted about a hour, in which we learned some history, saw dolphins, different birds, a few beaches, and a nice boat ride. For 2 adults it was $64, the tour guides were friendly, funny, and informative.

Feeling inspired, I joined Women on the Water to continue my sailing journey. After years of waiting to learn how to sail, I'm excited to be on this path.
