Cool little place for all kids. The train conductors and volunteers were friendly and helpful and made the experience fun. Neat little route that takes about 15-20 minutes around the property. Lots of small replica buildings for the kids to either peek into, explore inside. There is a playground with slides and swings towards the end of the complex. We visited the concession stand and had ice cream cones which were great on a hot day that we visited. Plenty of free parking across the street, and we did stop into the souvenir shop and ended up getting a t-shirt. There is about 50/50 sun and shade so bring an umbrella and coat up with the sunscreen!

Friend recommended Tiny Town as a great place for kids (of all ages). Good choice. The star attraction for the 5 and 3 year olds in our group was the miniature train that travels a 5/8 ths mile track in 9 minutes around the park. There is a coal fired engine and an oil engine. Volunteer Engineers know how to keep the kids entertained. Beside the train(s), there are miniature houses and other stuff, some of which can be entered by children. Tiny Town has been here since 1915 and some of the things look to be dated back to then. Other more recent houses have been added. Upkeep must be tough, or at least it looks like it. There is also a playground with swings and slides which was also an attraction. Definitely worth a visit if you have little ones.

This is a charming little place where the star is the train. And who doesn't love the miniature train ride? Kids and brave adults can even ride in the caboose. It's not overly pricey for an afternoon excursion with kids near Denver. They have food but it's a limited menu, which again, no issues. There is also a small gift shop. I can't say how much is volunteering and how much are paid employees but with land at a premium, I imagine there are hefty property taxes. Locally owned and operated by people who put their heart into their product are far better than anything owned by a nameless conglomerate who only cares about profit. So why 4 instead of 5 stars? For starters, the snack bar is cash only. Yes, there is a convenient ATM but there is also a $3 surcharge. I get that CC machines charge a usage fee every time the card is swiped but a $3 seems on the high end. The other reason was we had a dog with us. We asked before we went in if she could go to and we're told no dogs. I imagine it's because they don't want dogs marking the miniature buildings and dealing with irresponsible owners who won't clean up after their dogs. Fine. No problem. We took turns sitting with the dog so she wasn't in a hot car and there were other people doing the same thing. However, they allowed someone's dog about the size of a bichon frise to wander the grounds and not a single employee pointed out the no dog policy. Moreover, if said dog was truly a service dog, it would have been identified as such and in this case, it wasn't. How do I know you ask? Because my husband said something to them about their dog being inside the park and me on the other side of the fence with our dog. The owner said it was not a service dog. So please, either allow dogs or inform guests of the no dog policy.

This place was some what interesting, but pretty run down, like it hadn't been updated since 1979... we like exploring weird/unknown places, and even though this was a kids place we were hoping to still see some weirdness. But on the uniqueness scale I'd give it a 4/10, so it's something you could skip if you're coming here just for that. But if you have a child who's under 5, I'm sure they'll have an okay afternoon.

Cash is faster... and also preferred by people who don't want a paper trail of how much business they actually conduct.

Another one of these odd Colorado "historical" obsessions. As a Colorado native who was born here and lived a majority of my life here, I have to say that I don't get it. It's really nothing more than a small tourist trap on the side of the road. Among some of the "tiny houses" you will see here are the porta potties, so enjoy that. At the ticket booth they have a sign discouraging people from paying in any format other than cash. This is a red flag for illegal activity, because money launderers and tax evaders prefer cash transactions with no paper trail. But it seems like most of the money here is being spent on signs telling you all the stuff you aren't allowed to do here. Steer clear of the gift shop too, unless you are in the market for some Chinese knock-off Legos called "Cegos" or other overpriced imported junk. Other than all of those issues, kids seem to like this stuff and the price is fairly cheap. So it could be worse, I guess.

Tiny Town Morrison really does appear tiny in the eyes of adults. But my sister, being the child she is, enjoyed it and felt that the houses were fun sized and yet, so colossal. I've always had an obsession with mini versions of things and this park satisfied my love for it; tiny houses, trains, even the fence and the admissions office were adorably tiny. I also loved the little mushroom umbrellas and the admission price are incredibly affordable. I am jealous of the conductor because he gets to drive that mini train all day and just make it fun for the whole crowds. Though some of the park is seen having some renovation going on, the park is still fairly enjoyable and it is open. I think every child should experience this.

Great place to take it easy while the kids do their thing. $24 for all of us including the train ride. Definitely recommend.

It was really nice to be able to sit and relax while the kids released their pent-up energy on the playground.

The Mindbender is an awesome coaster with intense speed and great inversions. The staff was friendly. I don't know how anyone can complain about the price especially for locals buying a season ticket. We didn't do the Waterpark but from a distance it looked pretty solid with at least a half dozen slides and wave pool. Sure some of the park could use a coat of fresh paint but at the end of the day it offers family friendly rides and plenty of thrills along with a decent size Waterpark all for one price. Plus we noticed rides like sling shot and XLR8R which are usually an upcharge at most parks were included with the ticket price, they can easily run you around $30-50 as a standalone ride so that's a value if you like extreme thrills. We really enjoyed the Kaleidoscope by Meow Wolf, while not nearly as detailed as an actual Meow Wolf, this psychedelic dark ride was a lot of fun. The giant wheel was solid as well. Sidewinder is one of only 3 such style coasters operating in the world was very unique. It's not a launch coaster in the modern sense but you start dropping directly into a loop only to come up on the other side and then back again in reverse. Serious g-force and deceptively fast! Overall I thought the park was the perfect size with all the classics for both kids and adults.

Looking for a time capsule then loon no further as you have found it right here at Lakeside!…read more This park really is awesome as you can tell it's been kinda just left to the elements of time as everything here just felt like the 1960's which was totally cool with me because its unique to any other park I've been to in the country and that alone created this incredible vibe! It seems like they are only open at night which is awesome because I love going to the park at night as it creates a whole new atmosphere that the day can't match from the sights and sounds you can't really go wrong with a night at the park! Lots of this park is very run down like it really needs some help which made me kinda sad but happy to see it's still in operation if I had the money I'd totally fix it up and keep it nostalgic to its roots like get the roller coaster going and what not! Wild Chipmunk alone was worth the trip here as you don't see many coasters like that being operational anywhere a true gem in the coaster world! Their train ride was awesome too takes you to the edge of the property around the lake making for a long fun ride that we totally loved! They offer all day wristbands or tickets since we only rode a few things we went with the tickets making for a bit of a saver for us money wise so just plan accordingly if you choose this path! Overall this park is awesome I'd love to see it get the love and respect it deserves as I can tell this is a very valuable asset to this community and I hope to come back here again at some point because this truly is up there with my favorite parks I've ever been to straight up a vibe here the whole time!

Is it dated? Yes. Are some of the rides and games out of order? Yep. Does it need a good scrubbing?…read moreIt does. Are the workers friendly? Not especially. If you can get over its shortcomings, Lakeside is a pretty fun place to go, and at 116 years old, it's pretty OG Denver. My husband and I took our son this afternoon (they open at 2 pm on weekends) and had a sweltering good time. They gave a new (to us anyway) entrance process. Parking is free now, and after you park you empty your pockets and do a bag search, which was no big deal and I'm honestly surprised it took as long as it did for this to happen. After security the experience kind of tanks. They had 1 person at the entrance doing admissions and NO SIGNS. Seriously, Lakeside, if you read reviews, PLEASE post a few signs at the entrance with the fees so people can decide what they want as hey wait and do your poor employee doesn't have to go over it while everyone waits. My family waited 40 minutes to get in today, and the fact is that that was 40 minutes of lost opportunities for us to have fun and to spend money at the park, and that is just speaking of my group.

Each racer got two 12 lap races, food & drink, one hour reserved seating, arcade tokens & top finishers got medals - plus all racers got to race together with a reserved time. The price was about $80 per racer. We paid separately for additional food for spectators. These go carts are electric, so no smell & pretty quiet. A few things to note, racers need to be at least 48 inches tall & if you have more than twelve racers you then split into two groups. Also, K1 has an Arrive & Drive option for just racing, it's first come first serve. The day we went was for a birthday. After checking in racers registered & signed waivers after which they got balaclavas & helmets. Instructions were given but it was rather hard to hear. Our racers had a blast...they loved it - it was a great experience. Right after racing our lunch was ready, it was served buffet style. We choose Cheese & Pepperoni Pizzas, BBQ & Buffalo Chicken Wings & soft drinks. There were no salad or vegan options. The pizza was good, however the wings were even better & delicious. Since we were a big group we had a private party room. The only outside food allowed was dessert. Our party ran smoothly, the staff was friendly & very helpful. All in all a great time!

And it was made extra special to do it with our family and little ones. We bought the unlimited day pass (ask for a military discount!). More than anyone, my father-in-law and I myself got our fill of the coaster - definitely our favorite ride! I liked it more than the alpine slide because your seat is actually attached to the ride instead of being a sled that could potentially come off (I guess I'm a worrier :P). This thing can go pretty darn fast! But you've got a set of brakes to slow down whenever you want. So customizable and perfect! This is my kind of coast!! Not to the mention the beautiful view all around you the whole time. Kids - different rides have different requirements. Some you have to be 30 pounds, some 30 inches, others 35 inches or 38 inches. My almost three year old is big enough for all. He tried the coaster with my husband and said it made him dizzy (I'm sure my husband took it pretty fast lol). But he loved the alpine slide - enough to ride it twice! For the slide, the break is between your legs. He wanted to hold onto this because it totally made him feel like he was in charge. Little did he know, I was definitely the one controlling it. My son also really enjoyed paying for gold, mini golf and the bounce house. I'm really hoping we visit again next summer so we can come here!

Fun Alpine Slide, but poor communication, long waits, and very poor value…read more I visited Epic Discovery at Breckenridge with my two boys on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The gondola from town was great, and the Alpine Slide itself was fun once we finally got to do it. Unfortunately, the overall experience was frustrating and did not feel worth the price. The biggest issue was communication. When we got off the gondola at Peak 8, there were employees around, but nobody greeted us or explained where to go. We walked to the Alpine Slide line, waited, and only when we reached the front were told we needed wristbands first. We then had to find the ticketing area, where it was not obvious that we first needed to complete a paper waiver before buying tickets. We bought three-activity wristbands for about $72 per person. After that, we waited again for the Alpine Slide. One of my sons met the height requirement and was wearing closed-toe, closed-heel rubber shoes because of a recent foot injury. Two employees initially tried to tell us the shoes were not allowed, even though they met the posted closed-toe requirement. A supervisor eventually confirmed they were acceptable, but it was frustrating and unnecessary. The chairlift to the top was extremely slow, and once we got there we discovered that only one of the three Alpine Slide tracks was operating. Nobody told us that before we bought tickets, got in line, or boarded the lift. The wait at the top was long, hot, and mostly unshaded, with no water and very little communication. The boys enjoyed the actual Alpine Slide and wanted to ride again, but when we got back down and tried to re-enter the line, we were told it was closing early because of work/surveying being done on the slide. Again, nobody had disclosed that earlier. We then tried to use the wristbands for another activity, but the remaining lines were also long, hot, and unshaded, so we left. For roughly $72 per person, we realistically got one Alpine Slide ride. The activity itself was fun, but the operations, signage, staff communication, and value were disappointing. Breckenridge is priced like a premium experience, but this did not feel like one. I would not recommend Epic Discovery based on this visit.
