Chilli cheese dog from their concession stand

The North Pole has been around for a long while now, and while I don't know when it first opened its doors to visitors, I DO know that I enjoyed visiting as a little kid back in the early 90s (so it's been a minute). If you also grew up coming here you can rest assured that it mostly has stayed the same. You can still visit Santa, ride tons of smaller amusement park rides for little kids, and enjoy some time outdoors in the mountains. If you aren't familiar with this place it's a must top location for little kids aged 2-8. The rides are the right level for kiddos, there's tons to do, and it captures that magic of still believing in Santa Claus. They've changed ticketing over the years but on our last visit you could buy an unlimited wristband or pay per ride. We did a mix and bought a few single use tickets and two unlimited bands so that I could go on a few rides with our older daughter, but I primarily held the baby and let our five year old enjoy herself. I think if I asked my daughter how to rate this she'd say five stars with no hesitation, but I'd like to note that with it being so dated there were some parts that had seemed worn down, and the gift shop could be updated a bit. Overall though, this is still a great family friendly spot that I think is well worth the money and the visit if you have little kids.

Recently took my two daughters to the North Pole/Santa's workshop and we spent the entire day there. My daughters are five and seven years old and they were able to ride so many rides by themselves and just a few needed an adult to accompany them. They have plenty of different types of rides and arcade and other activities for the children to keep them busy! They offer season passes for an extremely affordable price which we plan to get at the start of next year Highly recommended for children 4 to 10 years old!

This is the first time I've returned to the North Pole since covid. Maybe even longer than that. I've always enjoyed this theme park and it's on a beautiful piece of property about fifteen miles west of Colorado Springs. The parking, even on a Saturday was plentiful. The gift shop is always fun and the overall ambiance is wonderful. It's on a mountainside so the walkways can be quite steep and wheelchairs etc would not function safely. It's a bit pricey from the gift shop to the concessions. That's my only real gripe with this place. Children love this place and it's a romantic place to take a date,

Free admission, you just have to pay for the rides. Visited this place after our trip to Pikes Peak, it's so fun to visit a Christmas themed park during summer. There's many different shops and foods to explore. Every corner of the park is packed with amazing stores selling everything related to Christmas. The souvenir shops are decently priced and staffs are very friendly. Hope to get there during Christmas.

Terrible useless fat lazy management horrible bland food hamburgers are sometimes raw. The only good thing is the hot dogs when it works which is rare and shitty old rusty unsafe rides. Some terrible inclines that are hard to walk or impossible to go up if in a wheelchair so the place was poorly designed and improved little to none.

I hedged on deciding whether or not to stop after visiting Pikes Peak. Glad I decided to visit! Visiting Santa's Workshop was a pleasant experience. I like that there was plenty of parking, front entrance is within reasonable walking distance, no entrance fee today and staff was very friendly. This is a great place to bring the kids. An ideal family venture. There are rides for the kids, concession stand, candy shop and souvenir shops. I enjoyed visiting the chapel. Cozy and quaint. Take your time to read information posted on the walls. I also love the location of this place and it's been around since 1956! The location is such a perfect alpine setting nestled next to the side of the mountains. The walking pathways in the park aren't flat. You will be walking inclines and declines. Plan accordingly. Especially weather permitting. Overall, good experience here. I enjoyed it. I may return closer to the holidays. The best thing is, never knew this place existed until today. Again, recommended for family. Great venue to spend with the kids and grandkids.

It's open all the time and the prices are reasonable. The ice cream was a decent portion and was only a few dollars. There's glass blowing, a theater, hundred-year-old musical machinery, and a ton of rides. We didn't get to spend much time there and only rode the carousel, which is maybe a hundred years old. We'll go back and get the unlimited ride bracelets for the kids.

Cute amusement park with year round Christmas theme. Best for younger children say like 4 years -15 years. Fun for the adults with a few little shops food and location is pretty since it feels like it's in the mountains/forest. Food is nothing spectacular. Standard burger, fries, chicken trendies, funnel cake, pretzels etc. Some of rides are older but the whole place feels nostalgic. Reminiscent of independent smaller amusement park. You can bring your own food in. They have fire pits and you can buy s'mores kits or if your really on top of your game pack in your own.

Amazing I would get Santa a gift Rides were amazing go on the rocketship or the scrambler

The flyer they gave us when we came in but then refused to honor after thunder and lightning closed down the rides.

Been bringing guests and family at least 4-5 times a season for over 40 years. Today they handed out unusual sheets saying "bad weather is expected, if rides close we will issue raincheck promptly". It began to rain pretty heavy with severe weather warnings going off on our phones so as we were leaving we decided to grab 2 rain checks for the ne t time we brought guests in a few weeks. They said that since no rides were closed, they wouldn't be giving refunds. I decided to make the best of it and go back to ride more in the rain (we came prepared). They closed down the slide, ferris wheel, and other rides as we stood in line. I asked the manager why and he told me it was due to lightning in the area. As we walked back into the gift shop, I saw the same manager who had just told me they closed rides for bad weather. I asked for a raincheck and was told that they have to close all rides for 60mins before they will issue a rain check. Even though there was thunder and lightning, The manager was rude about it at what is supposed to be Santa's home. We have bought literally hundreds of tickets over the 40 years we have lived here, but this was enough to wake me up to the fact that these rides are outdated and overpriced at regular price anyway. There are far better things to do in town, much closer, for much less money. This will more than likely be the last trip we take there.

This was very fun for the kids and just a very exciting place to see if you enjoy Christmas. A bit pricey, but to go on every ride it's worth it. Wear good shoes because you'll be walking a lot and going up and down steep walkways the whole time! There is so much to do and see.

Great little place to bring the kids for amusement rides and other things. Zip line, Ferris, wheel, Train ride and many other rides. Also has refreshment stands with food and drinks. Public restrooms available. Located at the foot of Pike's Peak.

Ask the Community - Santa's Workshop - North Pole

Is there open on Christmas Eve 24 December?

1 till 4 pm - 2 easy google, 3 tired of yelp users who are dumb - 4 tired of yelp users fail to post reviews of bad places - or post bad sof good places cause they forgot to bring wallet etc

What age range would you say this park would be for?

My best guess would be 3-10.

We also had trouble with our balcony door staying closed and getting it to lock. Rooms were clean though. I liked the little features like the soap being in the shape of a paw print. The waterpark was awesome to have access to while we were there. Especially during the winter months. They got water attractions for all ages. The resort overall is nice. The lobby is huge and gives that cozy, lodge feel. They have plenty of dining options inside of the hotel. There is plenty to do besides the waterpark. Look into their bundles if you are interested in doing the other activities besides the waterpark. Will definitely be back! Tips: Download their app so you know what time the activities are going on in the resort or to order food ahead. By check in they pass out complimentary wolf ears.

You point the want at different portals and maps and try to find the objects it's asking you to find. My son also likes the arcade. It's pretty expensive, but you can win tickets and get prizes. There are also some fun games to play. We came with friends so it was cheaper to share the room and Adventure Pass which includes unlimited climbing wall, miniature golf, a high ropes course, and bowling. It's not real bowling, but smaller lanes and balls. My favorite was the mini golf. The water park was not my favorite. There are really only about 5-6 slides and two of them are high thrill which we aren't fans off in the water. There is no lazy river or hot tub. There is a pretty fun wave pool. The food is pretty expensive, but it tasted decent. Luckily the rooms have a fairly large refrigerator and microwave so we brought most of our food and drinks. They do have a Dunkin Donuts for good coffee, a sweet shop with candy, an ice cream shop, pizza, burgers, and chicken nugs. Tips and tricks: When you buy a meal, upgrade to an Icee for $3.99 and you can get unlimited refills. If you buy the Icee outright, it's $17.00! Parking is $19.00 per day. When you're checking in, ask if they have any deals. They might help you out. Bring younger kids. They have a ton of activities for toddlers. They have bedtime stories and craft activities. They do sell alcoholic beverages for about $9-20 each. We were happy they had a refrigerator, however the drinks were good also. Save your wand for years to come. They will replace the batteries and sometimes give you more time on your Magiquest. It's pretty hot and humid throughout the resort and even in the rooms!! Bring shorts and t shirts in the winter. Bring your own tp because it feels like sandpaper. Bring your own pillows because their pillows are the worst. The place is pretty dirty too. The floors are really bad. Cheers!

Seven Falls started out with a semi-short shuttle ride to the actual scenery. From there, it just got more amazing. I understand how the steps could be strenuous for many, and it definitely wasn't easy, but a little stop to catch your breath is provided about midway through. I saw a couple people who didn't feel up to finishing the steps stopping at the rest point, taking some photos, and coming back down. The views were still stunning from that height. Heck, they're stunning from any height or viewpoint. There was also a little shop with delicious popsicles located before the steps. Clean bathrooms along the way as well. It all just seemed very well-thought-out. This was also partially due to the employees, who were all very helpful and pleasant. To put it simply, Seven Falls has it all-it's beautiful, clean, and unique. Amazing in every aspect, stunning from every angle. I felt immersed in the mountainscape from the first step out of that shuttle.

It seems like they are only open at night which is awesome because I love going to the park at night as it creates a whole new atmosphere that the day can't match from the sights and sounds you can't really go wrong with a night at the park! Lots of this park is very run down like it really needs some help which made me kinda sad but happy to see it's still in operation if I had the money I'd totally fix it up and keep it nostalgic to its roots like get the roller coaster going and what not! Wild Chipmunk alone was worth the trip here as you don't see many coasters like that being operational anywhere a true gem in the coaster world! Ok, this place is crazy expensive, so as long as you're ok with that, read on…read more My kids wanted to try the Alpine Slide and the Gold Coaster. We weren't sure if we should buy one ride for $45 per person, or get the 3-pack. We went a couple of times in the afternoon and there was impending rain. The ticket seller told me we would lose our tickets if they had to shut down for weather (which generally comes in the afternoon), so we decided to come first thing the next morning for better chances of no rain. We were first in line and got our tickets and went to the alpine slide. My sons 8 and 11 thought the slide was lame because they couldn't reach far enough to push the lever forward to go fast and they slowed a lot of people down behind them. Because I had to ride with my daughter who is under the height limit, I was able to push the lever but it was challenging. The alpine slide was underwhelming. We then went to the Gold Coaster and it was AMAZINGLY FUN! We all loved it and rode it twice. Every person we saw had a smile on their face at the end of the ride. We all wished we would have used all three passes on this ride. We don't do any of the other attractions because they didn't seem worthy of using one of our three passes. If you buy the unlimited pass, I could see doing the other items to pass the time and get your $$'s worth. One tip: the ticket seller said if we did a 1 or 3 ride pass and wanted to come back and upgrade to a higher package we could just pay the difference between what we had already paid and the other package amount we wanted to upgrade to. I liked that that was an option. Going in the morning mid-week really helped avoid long lines. I also think it helped that it was mid-August and many kids are already back in school.
