Went here a few days ago and it was fun. We had 5 people in the group that was racing. It's an easy way to kill time and blow some money. There is a bar upstairs for you to have drinks in between races. The track upstairs seems a little smaller then the one down stairs. When you walk in the doors the lines to check in were packed. But you walk in pay then you wait till it's your turn to race. They will Call your group number on the loud speaker that your in before so you have time to get there. The one thing that I liked about this racing is when you hit a car or a bumper on the side they will make sure everything is all good they slow all the cars down with a remote then go check on that driver then by ac touch of a button ask the cars go fast again. Pretty cool thing. One thing the food was okay.

If I could give 3.5 star I would, but I can't so I had to 3 stars unfortunately. My children love go-karting and do it any opportunity they can (usually on vacations or when it's cold outside and we can find an indoor track). We finally decided to go to overdrive (the prices really made us debate it for awhile). While we still feel the prices are a bit high for what you're getting, it's still fun. The wait times are incredibly long (came on a Saturday) in between races as well. An hour in between each race makes it really hard to do the package deal that saves you money. The only consolation is that they allow you to use your races on another day (for the package deals) if you're unable to use them all up the day you come. The person running the races stopped the races seriously no less than 10 times while they did their 8 laps. It was hard for them to get momentum. We will be back to use our other races we were unable to use due to scheduling issues, and will update the review again if anything changes.

Joshua loving Overdrive racing! He couldn't tolerate a helmet so they put a slow speed restriction on for us.

Our family had an incredible time at Overdrive thanks to James! He set up special time for our disabled son to be able to ride in the Duo Kart (a side by side Kart) with me and race against his sister and nurse. At our request he was able to restrict the speed to a slow safe speed to accommodate our son (who could not tolerate a helmet due to his special needs). Thank you Overdrive for making the extra effort to include disabled community members in the racing as well as typical racers! **Photo note: slow speed restriction on karts allowed no helmet driving to accommodate special needs racer**

My b/f did the track upstairs and said it was intense yet fun. I liked the layout and the fact the there was entertainment for those, regardless of whether or not you chose to do either of the tracks. Definitely worth a visit.

Great raceway, fun atmosphere but a little disappointed that the bar doesn't open until 4pm. The food was lacking in flavor and quality. Of course - this isn't the place you go for food. The tracks were nice but my nephews car broke down several times. So his race time could have been better if the equipment had not Failed. All In all we had a great time but perhaps Monday afternoon isn't the best time to tackle this adventure.

Don't break the rules!

We love this place and the owner and staff are really top notch. It can get busy, but it makes me happy to see a local business succeed. The upstairs bar and pool table is a fun place for adults to just relax and the two tracks offer a lot of options. We saw all the employees focus on safety before and during the races and everyone had a great time!

This place is AWESOME!!! We took our daughter here for some quality time and fun, and we sure did have a blast. We each opted for the 3 Pack of Races on the Agility track, our daughter is not 16 so we were unable to go on the Speed Track with her. The 3 pack is a good deal considering one race sets you back $22, and if you go for the 3 Pack you save a few dollars at $59 (And you get a free drink and a slice of pizza). Seriously it is really hard to do just one race, especially if you have never been. Our daughter is tall enough to do the adult races which was great because they have different Go-Karts for the smaller kids, and this way we were all able to race together. These Go-Karts are FAST!!! They are also a bit hard to steer, it definitely takes some getting use to and you have to use some muscle for sure. The agility track has a few hair pin turns that can be difficult, but overall the course is a lot of fun. Our daughter whooped us on the first race, she was a natural. We were able to get in on the next race fairly quickly. Each time there were only a couple of races between our races. We got there before 6PM on a Saturday and it was not horribly busy so we must of lucked out. Though by the time we left it was fairly busy. The upstairs had the Speed track, these races are a couple of dollars more than down stairs. There is a full bar and a pool table up there too, and a bit more adult oriented with a DJ and club vibe going. I really want to come back and try this track, my husband and I plan on doing a date night here. Also apparently you can drink and drive, obviously not at the same time though and there are rules so if you break em they will kick ya off the course (So don't go getting all crazy on the juice, if ya know what I mean).

These go carts are not slow putters!

So much fun in on day! Perfect way to spend some fine times with your teenager on a cold, snowy, Saturday zooming on the racetrack upstairs! So great date for those who feel the need for speed and fun. Military discount and also they have good incentive programs to entice you to come back again...and again.

It's a fun place, and staff is friendly. The races are overpriced is the only downside that I saw. My kids enjoy it, so we will go back.

Quality fun! Great staff and good service. Went with a group of friends and the stats made it competitive but enjoyable.

Loads of fun! But def more physically demanding than it appears. You will be tired, hot, and exhausted, but it is so much fun!

The agility track (track on the bottom floor) does take longer because the kids race without adults on the track.

Each racer got two 12 lap races, food & drink, one hour reserved seating, arcade tokens & top finishers got medals - plus all racers got to race together with a reserved time. The price was about $80 per racer. We paid separately for additional food for spectators. These go carts are electric, so no smell & pretty quiet. A few things to note, racers need to be at least 48 inches tall & if you have more than twelve racers you then split into two groups. Also, K1 has an Arrive & Drive option for just racing, it's first come first serve. The day we went was for a birthday. After checking in racers registered & signed waivers after which they got balaclavas & helmets. Instructions were given but it was rather hard to hear. Our racers had a blast...they loved it - it was a great experience. Right after racing our lunch was ready, it was served buffet style. We choose Cheese & Pepperoni Pizzas, BBQ & Buffalo Chicken Wings & soft drinks. There were no salad or vegan options. The pizza was good, however the wings were even better & delicious. Since we were a big group we had a private party room. The only outside food allowed was dessert. Our party ran smoothly, the staff was friendly & very helpful. All in all a great time!

Something to do in nice in a while but for me not a frequent adventure. The staff was nice and helpful and knowledgeable. They also give military discounts. As far as pricing I would think they would give junior drivers at a cheaper rate.

You see- as someone who struggled reading on moving vehicles and gets dizzy behind video games- I knew I was not their target audience. I lasted about 15 seconds behind the seat in Boston. Welp- color me wrong. I came with a work party- and it was honestly like night and day from my Boston go. The Denver F1 bar has several areas that are sectioned, making it easy to host a group without overlapping with other customers. The food was really good! I loved the ahi tuna bites, the flat bread and the vegan quinoa bites. Staff was SO KIND and very attentive- even in the peak of multiple holiday parties. But- the best part- I sat behind the racing seat, and after selecting the beginner settings, I actually enjoyed a whole three minute race. Not dizzy, not first place- but it was actually really fun! Would definitely recommend this to friends looking for a fun spot to party and a unique experience!

The lights were beautiful and the music was great- I would have loved if you could have heard it throughout the area. I would also recommend getting any snacks or drinks early as there seemed to be quite a line and not many working in the booth for food. I can't remember which course has the talking tree, but that was fun and unique. No matter which course you start on your last course will be the volcano. The volcano will erupt if you shoot the ball in the current location. If you don't, it has a water effect - if you are in the wrong place (or maybe the right place in the summer) you will get drenched with water. My nephew really enjoyed the shooting arcade which has funny and silly items in which to aim. There is a place to get food such as burgers, hotdogs, ice cream and dipping dots. There are also tables where you can eat your meal/dessert. There is a large parking lot with free parking. This is a really fun summer outing!

Looking for a time capsule then loon no further as you have found it right here at Lakeside!…read more This park really is awesome as you can tell it's been kinda just left to the elements of time as everything here just felt like the 1960's which was totally cool with me because its unique to any other park I've been to in the country and that alone created this incredible vibe! It seems like they are only open at night which is awesome because I love going to the park at night as it creates a whole new atmosphere that the day can't match from the sights and sounds you can't really go wrong with a night at the park! Lots of this park is very run down like it really needs some help which made me kinda sad but happy to see it's still in operation if I had the money I'd totally fix it up and keep it nostalgic to its roots like get the roller coaster going and what not! Wild Chipmunk alone was worth the trip here as you don't see many coasters like that being operational anywhere a true gem in the coaster world! Their train ride was awesome too takes you to the edge of the property around the lake making for a long fun ride that we totally loved! They offer all day wristbands or tickets since we only rode a few things we went with the tickets making for a bit of a saver for us money wise so just plan accordingly if you choose this path! Overall this park is awesome I'd love to see it get the love and respect it deserves as I can tell this is a very valuable asset to this community and I hope to come back here again at some point because this truly is up there with my favorite parks I've ever been to straight up a vibe here the whole time!

Is it dated? Yes. Are some of the rides and games out of order? Yep. Does it need a good scrubbing?…read moreIt does. Are the workers friendly? Not especially. If you can get over its shortcomings, Lakeside is a pretty fun place to go, and at 116 years old, it's pretty OG Denver. My husband and I took our son this afternoon (they open at 2 pm on weekends) and had a sweltering good time. They gave a new (to us anyway) entrance process. Parking is free now, and after you park you empty your pockets and do a bag search, which was no big deal and I'm honestly surprised it took as long as it did for this to happen. After security the experience kind of tanks. They had 1 person at the entrance doing admissions and NO SIGNS. Seriously, Lakeside, if you read reviews, PLEASE post a few signs at the entrance with the fees so people can decide what they want as hey wait and do your poor employee doesn't have to go over it while everyone waits. My family waited 40 minutes to get in today, and the fact is that that was 40 minutes of lost opportunities for us to have fun and to spend money at the park, and that is just speaking of my group.
