    Filthy hotel

Nice looking hotel and slides are fun, kids did get bored after a bit. Water park was a bit too cold. Charging for parking was a slap in the face, insane nickel and diming. Room was average with an absolutely disgusting view of roof garbage. Elevator kept breaking, Would not return!

No doubt, this is like Las Vegas for kids. Knowing that this would be a relatively expensive stay, I'd actually say that it was worth it. The water park was excellent. Everything was working and clean. The lifeguards are attentive, constantly scanning every part of their area of responsibility. The water is warm, although little ones still get chilly after a while. There is something for just about every age. I'd say the sweet spot would probably be kids who are around 5 years old to 14 years old. Above that, and they might get a little bored. We didn't try any of the additional activities like mini golf and the ropes course. Those are all extra, and there were plenty of people doing them. Our room was a deluxe queen suite with a balcony and Mountain View. The view of the mountains and the Air Force Academy was gorgeous. The room was plenty big enough for two adults and two kids. We also got the breakfast buffet. They had a great selection of healthy options. Plus lots of less healthy options that kids enjoy like chicken nuggets and a waffle topping station (with gummy bears). The fresh fruit was really good. Plenty of blueberries, strawberries, melon, and pineapple. I had fairly high expectations for GWL going in, and they met and exceeded them all.

This was a pretty amazing place for kids under the age of 13. It's a safe environment where they feel like they have roaming freedom and parents know where they are. There are so many activities for kids to participate in it's amazing, very much a summer camp feel. The water park is awesome and well lifeguarded. It's in doors so no sunscreen reapplying fighting. The deepest I saw was 5' in the wave pool. The slides are really fun and a good mix of group vs individual riders. The only downside is you can't bring in your own food. I do like your wristband is also your room key and you can program who can charge and who can't. This was very helpful with our large group of kids. The staff is all very friendly and helpful; the rooms are clean and comfortable. I did feel like the experiment is worth the price tag.

So this location should just be rename "Wolf Lodge"...it has not earned the "Great" title in my book. We frequent the location in Grapevine Texas which has a grand entrance, lazy river (in and outdoors), and large outdoor and indoor pools and slides. This one only has indoor pool, kiddie pool area, smaller wave pool and a few slides. The magic quest is only in one area on a single floor of the lodge. Eh. This location does not hold up to the experience we are accustomed to of Great Wolf Lodge name. The tub in our bathroom was very slow to drain. I take showers and the water was up to my ankles with the drain open. Why am I giving 3 stars? The view from our room is fantastic. We stayed in 520.

Water park excellent. Arcades complete rip off. Drinks pretty reasonable but of course pricey. Food absolutely downright horrible. Next level frozen Sysco food, as if they had a fire sale and the only buyers for the elderly franchises and Wolf Lodge chain (way to go Blackstone!). I'm at a loss for words, Go anywhere else McDonald's would be fast casual compared to this.

Update to my first post. So this time we decided to spend one night here. It was of course and amazing experience. The ONLY thing I would do differently is either bring my own food or eat outside. The food is over priced and taste horrible! For lunch yesterday we ate at buckets. The staff were AMAZING!! And I mean AMAZING! The food was sub par and way over priced. We for one burger and fries, one chicken sandwich with fries, one order of onion rings and an order of cheese curds for 70 bucks and the fries were cold and rubbery, the burger was dry and the onion rings were just not that good now I will say my cheese curds were delicious. For dinner we ate at the pizza place, again the staff were amazing!! We ordered 3 of the personal pizzas, a salad and some wings. First we waited over 30 mins with our buzzer that never buzzed so I went to go check on our food and had been ready for quite sometime, so if you get a buzzer know that it doesn't work. When we got our food they had forgotten my nephews chicken so I just had them make it and I would dump it on top of it. The pizza was just okay. Tasted a little boxy and the cheese was of course you could tell had been sitting for a while. The salad was pretty good. The total for all this was almost 80 bucks. Our last meal here was the loose moose lodge. I will say this STAY AWAY AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. this is by far the most waste of your money. It's 23.95 per adult and 9.99 for each child. The Buffett has only a few items. The most I would pay for this Buffett is 15 bucks. The service is horrible. And I mean horrible. We waited 5 mins before a hostess came to even seat anyone and the line was long. Then our server was horrible. Waited over 10 mins before she came to check on us. I can literally name the items on the "Buffett" there was chicken nuggets, tatter tots, macaroni, eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, chicken and waffles, ham. Then there was a small fruit bar a small pastries bar. A omelet bar then some bread cereal and oatmeal. When we went to the one in Dallas and it was about the same price, they had a plethora of items more like 10x the offer compared to here. This great wolf lodge needs to do better for their food especially for the price. But the customer service is impeccable here. Except for one front desk lady. She always has an attitude. But she doesn't kill it for me. If they either got rid of her or fixed her attitude this place would be unstoppable w their customer service.

Ok this place was a blast and would most definitely go again, But when I was in the basketball arena my foot started to hurt not thinking about it I kept playing when I was on unbearable pain I looked at it and saw a red part scraped off, SERIOUSLY you guys need to fix the bottom where it dosent hurt your customer, in the future a lot of people are going to get hurt and even more, I'm reviewing the injuries and be expected for a safety check on the pools later on

The Great Wolf Lodge is a big place with a lot of different restaurants and quick service places inside of it. I will try to limit this review to specifically what the Great Wolf Lodge the hotel/resort has to offer. This is an interesting place. I won't say that it is strictly for kids but it does seem like it is focusing on the age group of "kid" straight through. I can imagine that any kid between 7 and 12 would have a great time here. Any kid younger might get too overwhelmed and any kid older would probably want to leave by the second day. My wife, daughter (aged 7), and I went here and we all had a pretty great time. It was a trip focused on our daughter for her birthday so it was all about letting her have fun. She did! I am sure that if she had her way she would have stayed multiple nights but we only stayed for one night and two full days. When you check in to the hotel they give you wristbands/passes depending on your hotel package and this is so no matter where you go in the resort you can get any exclusive offers to people staying at the hotel. The wristband is also the way you get into your hotel room which made it nice to know we didn't need to look after a hotel key of any kind when visiting the water park. We got the birthday package for my daughter which meant that the hotel staff put a big red banner across our hotel door, left a cake and all necessary plates, cups, and utensils (except a knife to cut the cake hahaha), and a nice bouquet of balloons. My daughter loved all these things but thought the red banner across the door was like "caution tape" and was a bit weirded out until she actually read the banner. Pretty funny. A nice thing about this resort is that you can arrive any time the day of your stay and they get you set up to start using all they have to offer. We got to the hotel early and enjoyed the water park hours before our actual check in time. This didn't limit us being able to charge things to our room or check out towels in the water park area. The water park has just enough for every kid and adult (and nothing more). To me, it was like the absolute best Rec center aquatic center I have ever visited plus four rides. I didn't experience the rides as my daughter was having fun with the other water stuff except the Wolf Tail which I did on my own. It is one of those free fall tube rides that locks you in and drops you 20ft while you are in a water tube. It was a lot of fun and had a nice thrill level for me. The highlight of the resort for my daughter and family was having her do the MagiQuest. This aspect of the hotel does require some extra cash to be thrown down but it was worth it to see my daughter become so enthralled. Basically, MagiQuest involves getting a wand (and optional wand "topper" that if you don't get your wand looks like it is missing something) and going around to different portals and items that when you "cast" your wand towards them they either light up or make a sound or show something on a screen. It felt very magical to my daughter and this was by far her favorite thing. Now as an adult and parent you should know some things about MagiQuest. It does cost extra. If you are familiar with video games it is pretty much a series of fetch quests that will have you running around the ground level of the hotel (back and forth a lot of times). The whole thing from start to finish will probably take around 6 hours especially if you let your kid run the show. We ended up buying a theme wand, a topper, and a cloak for my daughter. She loved it all! There are other things to do as well. Arcade, gem panning, ropes course, and rock climbing. If anything this resort is a good time because no matter if your kid is an indoor or outdoor kid, adventurous or more hesitant, into magic or into reality they are going to have something that they can do. There are premiums being charged here but it is a resort for your kid and if you are coming for a good time, it is probably the right time to spend a little extra. Once again, this review and rating is not including or factoring in Build a Bear which is another thing your kid might want.

He had to check with his manager (who was off that day) about one thing and asked if he could call me the next day with an answer. He actually ended up calling while I hadn't yet driven away from the facility. Luis did a remarkable job with a great attitude! I hope he gets a raise. :) I would give the entire facility five stars because I enjoy this place very much, but one disappointment I continue to have is how long it takes for repairs to be made when things break. I actually made a list in my phone of things I love and don't love. Why not paste it here? Love * Pleasant Smell when I walk into the gym. * The cleanliness of the lobby. * The natural light pouring in from huge windows. * The usually friendly greeting from the staff. * Filtered water fountains throughout the facility. * Free Ice machine in front. * Numerous class options. * The personal trainers I've met--pretty great people. * All the various sitting areas. It is welcoming for a person to just come hang out. * The cafe and healthy food options (along with a few not-so-healthy). * Lovely and newly renovated basketball/volleyball court. * Fantastic views of mountains, especially from the treadmills. Ahhhhh * Variety of cardio machines. * The multiple places to stretch and do my own PT exercises. * The intentional signage about fitness floor etiquette--thank you. * The provision of towels (small and large), Q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion--also great smells. * The cold, wet hand towels (sprinkled with ice cubes) provided by the hot tub and sauna. Nice touch! * The delightful pool area. I thoroughly enjoy spending a few minutes to sit in the sun after a workout. There is landscaping and trees separating the adult pool from the kiddos' (which is remarkable with slides and fun things), so we don't really hear the kids or even see them. We enjoy the separate space with many options for shade or sun. Feels like a resort. * Friendly class instructors. The ones I have experienced are encouraging without being demeaning. I enjoy the camaraderie between the members too. Don't love * Light burned out by mirror in locker room that has been so for months * Broken towel hooks in showers--also been broken for months * The smell of mold in some of the showers * The rust on the plumbing by the toilets * Certain places on the tile in toilet areas that haven't been cleaned for a long time * Blow dryers breaking and not being replaced * The ladies' hot tub being shut down for several days * How long it took to replace conditioner when it ran out. If it is a supply problem, worst case send an employee to Costco to buy several containers to hold things over until the situation is resolved. * How expensive the cafe is. * The number of cardio machines that have broken pieces that have gone unrepaired. * The decision to not carry the top shelf tequila anymore--the cheaper stuff gives me a migraine. Why not provide members the best? Be winning in the "second mile" like Chick-Fil-A! * How long it takes for broken lockers to be repaired. * Power outlet in the locker room with a sign that reads "out of service" that has been like that for months. * The various places of dead landscaping (by the entrance, by the pool bathrooms). * So many laminated signs telling us something is out of service! That's nice as opposed to hand-written signs taped everywhere. How about more energy to fix things promptly, though? * Employees power-washing the steam room during the middle of the day. Rather do that after hours? Signs are posted to discourage phone use in the locker room that hurts the atmosphere, yet power washing in the middle of the day was acceptable. This hasn't happened for a while--perhaps they've made a change on this. I am grateful they're cleaning the steam room! * Consideration for employees and how leadership decisions affect them. I've heard from a few employees (and one parent) that this is can be an unfortunate issue. All these "don't love" things, I believe, could be easily fixed with leadership being attentive. Having been in leadership in some way or another most of my life, I know just a few intentional decisions and implementation of systems of quality control could make a big difference. Maybe have certain team members walk through daily checking for details and empowering them to make work orders for repairs. Have arrangements for prompt fixes after hours! Reward your staff! Listen to them. Pay well. You'll keep the good ones longer if you treat them well. Be generous! The whole place will feel the difference, and you'll have more members joining and staying as a result. All things considered, I am super grateful to have found this gym and for my membership here. It's a very happy place for me, and I look forward to every time I'm here!

Great Views. Zero Soul…read more I genuinely wanted to love this place. It had everything on paper - the views, the parking, the promise. So here's my honest advice: Book one night in the big suite, don't interact with management or the events team, eat somewhere else, and leave. You'll actually enjoy yourself. Here's the reality: It's gorgeous on the outside. But in my experience, there's no soul or integrity behind the facade. The service culture feels stuck in a bygone era - and not in a charming way. The locker rooms are cramped, poorly maintained, and frankly, they smell. The food is forgettable. The spa feels pretentious and operates on what I can only describe as a 1987 business model. I was told I'd need to order a nail job just to access the steam room. Make it make sense. The concierge was genuinely lovely - but it felt like her hands were tied by management's outdated approach. She seemed to want to help more than the system would allow. The events department was, in my experience, a major disappointment. Communication felt disorganized and unresponsive. When I asked for a simple proposal, I was told they "couldn't possibly do that for every inquiry" - in 2025, when AI tools can generate a polished, customized proposal in minutes. I tested it myself using Canva and Claude with their own metrics. Took me four minutes. The resistance to modernizing felt deliberate. Outside of the top-tier suites - which are reasonably priced by Colorado standards ---this felt like a mediocre hotel calling itself a resort. It is not The Broadmoor. It is not a Four Seasons. Those places deliver hospitality with humanity. This felt more like a zombie party with a great view. My honest opinion? It feels like ownership is either disengaged, burnt out, or simply no longer pursuing excellence. That said - if you're a Colorado local, the 10% room discount is a nice touch. Choose your room wisely, skip on-site dining, and check out 503W nearby for great prices and actual atmosphere. For corporate events? I'd look elsewhere.
