The good: My toddler loves this park and so do I! It was more recently revamped and it has something for everyone. There are plenty of swings including the big saucer-style swing and a two-person swing. There is a balance beam, see-saw type structure for four, a spinning sitting thing (sorry for these descriptions) and rocking bear thing. There's a basketball court, conveyor-style slide with the metal pipes, futuristic spaceship-looking climbable structures and lots of slides. There's a bigger kids' playground that's super tall and a smaller kids' area. It's super pretty this month because of all the Christmas lights on the trees nearby with Santa's workshop and a mailbox to send letters to Santa. I like the spongey floor because it's clean and comfortable to stand on. It's in downtown Parker so there are nice shops to walk to from this playground. The bad: We live far from this awesome park. The interesting: I came at night and was able to enjoy the park because it was illuminated by the Christmas lights.

This was my first time back since the remodeling amd the playsets are very modern. Two huge slides in the back and a variety of swings kept the kids busy. The layout is nice and clean and it is in a great part of town. There is plenty of parking nearby as well.

This is a large park in downtown Parker, there is a large playground in the middle for the kids and a pavilion on the other side of the entrance. I liked the many different displays of art work and sculptures that prominently featured the history of the town. Next to the park is a tunnel that the walls are painted with many different depictions of scenes from movies and other forms of pop culture and the tunnel has a large speaker in it that plays music. This is a fun place to visit.

I think it's odd to rate and/or review a park, playground, field, etc. but here I am. Just doing that. O'Brien Park seems to be easily missed.. heck, I even missed it a handful of times until a mommy friend of mines suggested taking my kids there. Thanks Hanna! The location of the O'Brien Park is on Mainstreet and S Parker Rd. I wouldn't ever imagine a park being located nearby a busy intersection but it surprisingly is. However, you don't really notice the background noise or traffic (if any) within the park space. It has more than what most parks have to offer around the Parker area. There are 2-3 playgrounds (a toddler one is nearby the bigger one so some may consider it one playground) , basketball hoops, baseball field, ample parking spaces in a parking lot, and so forth. A water park is nearby but it's only open seasonally and isn't free. Now onto the park itself? My three kids under six years old love the playgrounds and the variety it offers. Of course, it has your basic slides that go straight down, swirl, and curves. There are no swings but there is a seat attached to a pole type of swing where it sways side-to-side, or can entirely rotate 360 with enough effort. I like that there are plenty of climbing structures such as a little "rock climbing" wall, bars, stairs, etc. Is any of it dangerous? Well, any park or playground structure can be dangerous if you're not supervising your child(s). Some spots may be higher but that's at many playgrounds I've taken my children to so far in the Lone Tree / Parker area. Except the those tiny toddler playgrounds that usually only offers a short slide or two. I personally find O'Brien Park a fun place for kids to burn energy whilst being able to relax, eat lunch, and/or watch kids at a safe distance on a bench or any of the tables (with benches).

One of the great play areas
