So I remember coming here as a child and I remember having a great time. My husband and I took our kids here on their half way to Christmas special week (totally worth it) since tickets were half off. Let me tell you I really enjoyed myself and I think this is a neat experience. However, it's no Six Flags, nor is it the fancy amusement parks most states have. Of you are from Colorado you will understand when I say, it's more like a Lakeside experience, but Christmas theme. If you aren't from Colorado think Mall Parking Lot traveling Carnivals with a Santa Christmas theme. BUT it's fun! It's enjoyable and despite the carnival type rides, the atmosphere is cute and nostalgic. It's no Disney park, but it's a great experience. However, the rides are limited in age appropriateness. I would say if your child is a mature 12 year old depending on their attitude they may be a bit old. There will be about 5 rides they might enjoy. My 10 year old liked it, but I don't see her loving it in a year or two in the same way as she did this year. We had a two year old that could ride most all the rides with an adult, and our one year old could only ride about 4 rides. The ages that are best are a tall 3/4 year old to maybe 10 years old. If you are a grandparent and over 65 your ticket is free so you can bring the grandkids and get yourself in free. They have food places there as well. It's not great food again it's a lot like carnival food however unlike most carnivals where a corn dog is $10 this one was $2.50. So the prices here were way more manageable if you want to eat the greasy carnival type food. I highly recommend it, just not to a family with teenagers, just littles. read more

This place is fantastic! I've seen the signs and heard about it for years but we have never been. We decided to take our 5 yr old on our way through to Yellowstone and we are FANS! There was an incredibly long wait to get up to Pikes Peak sour took a bit to get to the parking. .The staff was friendly and helpful and Santa was awesone! We saw him in the park and he gave our son a high 5 and chatted with him, then a couple of hours later we went to Santa's house and he remembered him and spent as much time talking to each kid as the kid wanted! All of the rides were fun and nostalgic. We bought lunch and it was not pricey at all and pretty tasty! We will never forget our visit and will hopefully be back in the future! read more

What's not to love about this charming theme park high in the mountains? We brought our 6 and 3 year olds here and the fun meter lasted until the first strike of lightning (around 2pm). The majority of the rides here are focused towards littles above 32" tall. This is not a park that charged admissions while also charging additional fee for "premium" rides (like the zip line). Pro Tip: Come 15 minutes before opening for easy parking and direct access to the rides. This will also give your group plenty of playtime before CO's famous afternoon thunderstorms. Come after 3pm after the thunderstorms for complimentary admission for the next day! read more

My daughter and I were visiting from California and had a blast. She's 5 and yes, the rides are a little old and yes it doesn't compare to Disneyland, but that's what I loved about it. We went on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. The wait times were not long at all and I felt as if I were in Santa's Village. We went in October of this year so yes, for us SoCal girls, it was cold. If we ever end up in Colorado again we will definitely come back. You do it for the experience and not daughter loved meeting Santa! read more

This isn't six flags or the disney chain this is Santa Claus! I went here for the first time when I was 5. I took my son here last year as a way to keep the magic of Santa flowing in his mind before he learned things that may devastate him. The rides are ok for adults but it is geared towards... yes... kids :) My son was so nervous to walk into Santa's house. When Santa waved him in and my son stood looking at me and said... he is real he isn't fake like the guys in the mall - I am scared! Poor little dude finally bolstered up enough courage to go see Santa. When he walked out of the house he was in total shock that he met the real guy and his classmates were going to be so jealous - oops (but really I couldn't help but snicker a little at his naivety). Look past the chain parks, look past overall amusement parks and remember.... this is the North Pole, this is where childhood dreams and fantasy's can come to life for a day. Beautiful little Christmas-themed amusement park. We've been coming here for years, and even though there are a few rides that our kids have outgrown it's still more than worth it. There's a lot do here. Plenty of kid-friendly rides, deer feeding (used to be goats), meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus, shopping and a good variety of concessions. There's a little chapel and even a post office where you can send letters to be post-marked from The North Pole. The new addition of Santa's zip line is great, and the view from the Ferris wheel is breathtaking. We enjoy the train and sky ride, too. It's a fun place, and since we live nearby we usually get the season passes. If you're not local, the admission is still pretty reasonable, and I believe senior citizens get in for free. read more

This place is great for folks with kids 10 and under! So much to do and so many options. The employees were all happy and helpful. So why not five stars? We had to wait nearly an hour for our lunches! I took my four year old daughter here for a surprise. It was amazing. Everything at the park was designed for children. She was able to ride almost every ride, feed reindeer, and see Santa. The park will let you bring your own lunch if you want. We ended up eating on site, and I expected ball park prices. However, to my surprise the food was actually not all that expensive and decent quality. All the attendants were nice as can be. They even let us take our own photos of her with Santa, avoiding having to pay for one of their packages. Coupons are available on their website to save some money. My daughter will remember this experience forever, and so will mommy. 5+ stars. read more

We visited during Thanksgiving week and found the park not very crowded. The lines for the rides were minimal. The kids enjoyed the rides. The food prices were actually decent for an amusement park. Purchased cold drink are free refills throughout the park. We saw fire pits throughout the park and people were roasting marshmallows. You can purchase s'mores kits but you could also bring your own. It got brutally cold in the afternoon as the sun started setting so we had to cut our day short. Improvement that could be made...our visit with Santa was not as memorable as I would like. It felt rushed even though the line was short and there was not much interaction or conversation with the kids. He just asked each of my kids what they wanted for Christmas and that was it. Also, we did not encounter rude employees but it would help if employees would smile more often and interact with kids like play some impromptu silly games, etc. This would leave a lasting impression with kids and make the North Pole more of a joyous experience. read more

This is a miniature amusement park, the rides are smaller than you will usually find at the larger parks so it's a great place for younger children. But, we had three grandsons with us, 8 - 11 yrs old and all three enjoyed themselves. We were afraid they were too old for it, but not at all. They had a great time and didn't want to leave. The 8 year old was tall enough for every ride they tried, and the 10 and 11 year old were not too tall. Just perfect. The park is big enough with more than sufficient rides to keep everyone busy for several hours, so plan to spend the day if possible. And don't forget to stop by and visit with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, they will be happy to see you. If there was a negative, and the reason it is not a 5 star - it was a little faded, maybe needs a little updating and it was a bit pricey for the adults who can't ride many rides. This place is amazing! Even in these covid times they act like true adults and enforce their rules unlike other places just putting signs up but enforcing nothing. We were in Colorado for family vacation and in keeping with ther "white winter" motife, I took the kiddos to Santa's workshop at the "North Pole", which is actually right off the freeway, below Pikes Peak. The admission was $17 a person (including kids) but I'm used to paying amusement park prices in Houston so I wasn't shell shocked. Yet! The park consisted of several smaller kiddie ride, like tea cups and ferris wheels. It was pretty cold outside so we weren't planning on staying long, which ended up being good since we didn't find that much to do. Good- Sky ride above the park and has great view. The moose puppet show which you would think it corny, well ok it was, but my 4 yr old cracked up at it! Bad- Frozen metal seats on all the rides. Kids would like the ride but then complain that their bottoms were cold. One definite plus- Santa in his own little (warm) house, ready to take lap requests, that sounds dirty but I just mean kiddos told him what they wanted for Christmas, and some cute pics. They don't let you take your own, so spent another $20 for them to print some. But they turned out nice, with a border and two ear to ear smiles! read more

You would never guess that Santa's work shop would have a haunted house, but it does. The magic show was really pretty cool for the kids. 7/23 We only went into the gift shop. We didn't have the time on this trip to try the park. They had great Christmas ornaments and some toys for kids. The woman behind the counter wasn't very friendly at all. It's a Christmas store! Where's the cheer? Could we at least get a smile? My husband asked if they had a public restroom and she seemed annoyed by the question. She said something about asking another employee for a pass to use one in the park but we declined. Judging by the other reviews, the park is fun for kids. My son would love it so we'll make a return trip sometime in the future and I hope to have a better experience with them then. read more

Loved this place so much! I think it's a very good value for the admission fee. There's rides catering to very small children and then family oriented rides that all but the smallest could ride together. The height restrictions, while unfortunate, are a necessary safety measure the park must take. The atmosphere was pleasant. Everyone was exceptionally nice with the exception of a couple of younger people working in the ice cream shop who were busy horse playing. But, that in no way detracted from us having an awesome time here. The weather was perfect. And there were no lines. We will definitely come back here again. read more

My sister and I were here a couple of weeks ago and I must say I this place is amazing! We went on the coldest day that week, but they did have plenty of fire pits and hot apple cider to keep us warm. There is so much to be entertained with, no matter the age. Oh my gosh !! I absolutely loved this place! I have a 3 year old and she rode almost all the rides and they have a good amount of rides for the parents as well! I was impressed with the variety of things to do.They have kiddy and adult rides , animal feeding , magic shows, Santa and tons of gift shops. Children under 3 are free and they have military discounts! We went on Fourth of July and the park was pretty much empty! We had little to no lines. I was shocked with how large the park was. We walked the whole park in 3 hours but be warned it is has a lot of small hills(were sneakers)! They had the general amusement park food at a reasonable price.They offer free refills (which is awesome especially in the summer )! Overall, my whole family had a blast and it was a perfect day! The staff were all so friendly. They allowed you to take pictures before rides and they even stopped the ride when my daughter felt uncomfortable! This place is amazing with Toddlers and older! The entry price is afordable. We received a Military Discount. Ride as much as you want!!!! The whole park, food area, rides, gift stores are moneyless! I know it's not a word. Here is the explanation. Everybody gets a card. All your purchases go on the card and when you leave the park, you pay!!! Next amazing thing. All you buy can be brought to the main entrance! No carrying bags around!!! If you want to wear you shirt you purchased, you can! Next! The prices for Santa's pictures, candle dipping, ornaments with free engraving, food etc. Is CHEAP! I mean, we paid $19.95 for an adult hoodie. $7.95 for the ornament and $10 for Santa AND $1.75 for my coffee!!!! We went now because we are moving, so we had hardly to NO LINES. Santa was awesome! Even I wanted to stay! The whole park is a little older but kept it's charm! Most of the rides are with the adult just incase your baby is still scared. Everybody is super nice and helpful. The Ferris Ride and Zip line, Gondola were my personal favorite! Of course my 4 year old loved all. We did the candle dipping and she even wrote Santa, just incase he would forget her wish! This place is an amusement park built around d Christmas. It's especially popular during Christmas but is open year round. They have a number of rides that are suited for younger kids. I think teenagers will still like it. They have a lot of gift shops as well. But I believe the gifts are pricey. You can also get ornaments there and get them personalized. Best part is the Santa photo. But there will be a line to get your picture afterwards. It's also about 8,000 ft in altitude, so if you are affected by altitude be aware. I'm going to start out by saying I don't have kids, loooove theme parks and LOOOOOOOVE Christmas. I was prepared for this not being Disneyland, but since it is christmas themed, I was expecting to be enchanted by some holiday magic - especially 10 days before Christmas. Not so much. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, the rides reminded me of the street carnivals that pull into town and leave after a weekend or so, though this one parked in the 60s and stayed. The rides were tired and if you looked closely, need refreshing. Black tape held on padding for the arm bar on the gondola, many of the Ferris wheel buckets were covered, and I won't even go into the haunted house. Speakers weren't working, the monsters and ghouls were in a sorry state of decay (not scary decay, but just too old decay) The stores, rather than being decked out with lovely merchandising and ornaments you can't resist, there was an abundance of some really cheesy toys. Near the candy shop, there is a fire pit. You can buy s'mores kits or marshmallows to roast, which I loved. The candy shop could have been expanded, it was underwhelming with a small assortment of fudge and a few token chocolates. Now to the Christmas theme as a whole... This place just wasn't festive. Piping in Christmas music alone doesn't cut it. Malls do that, where's the magic? The little kids seemed to have a fun time on the rides, the Ferris wheel gives a beautiful view as does the gondola. But as someone who has gone to Disneyland many times just to shop for ornaments and get the Christmas feel, this place was lacking. It made me a bit sad as it has so much potential to be a magical Christmas destination for all ages, not a tired street carnival. Perfect place for a family outing if you have young children. We took our 4 & 6 year old and spent 3.5 hours. The kids had a blast riding every ride they offered and most were big enough for us to join them on. For a group of 3 adults and 2 kids we only spent $100 on admission (with a $3 off coupon) and could have easily not spent any extra money while we visited. We opted for feeding cups ($1 for a ton of food) to feed the deer, and spent $11 on a personalized family ornament that would have cost double elsewhere. A trip to the county fair would have cost us quadruple what we spent here if we were to have ridden that many rides. read more

This place grows on you, so try and keep an open mind. Gotta say, it's a bit of a time warp. They tell you at the entrance that there is no money exchanged in the park, so while your entry fee includes all rides and shows, if you want food, souvenirs, or to feed disinterested deer you had a paper card to a staff member, ahem elf, and they write it down. At the end of your stay you need to present this card to the elf running the cash register in order to be allowed to leave... They must trust humanity a lot more than I do to use such an honor system. Maybe they're relying on the Christmas spirit to keep people honest, because they can't legally stop you if you want to leave without giving them back their card, just sayin'. It's so far off the beaten path that on a Sunday in July there were no crowds and hardly any lines. The rides were about like what you'd find at Lakeside for a slightly lower price. I can't actually rate the food, all I tried were the fries (average) but my brother spoke highly of the ice cream. My toddler nieces absolutely loved it. Although it's clearly a venue geared toward young kids, even my Christmas-hating husband had a good time. I think my teenage stepsons did too, but they won't admit it. I was amused that the deer could hardly be bothered to get up for a treat, and saddened for the employees having to wear the elf uniform. This is the worst outfit I have ever seen in my entire life; white short sleeve button-down, bow tie, suspenders, cropped sweatpants, and striped socks...universally unflattering, and a crime against humanity. Although I can't say I'd go back willingly, but it was much better than I expected. read more

I grew up in Cascade, and worked at the North Pole as a teenager. I recently took my 4yr old along with my sister and her two year old. It is perfect for preschool crowd up to about 10yrs old. My son loved it as did his little cousin. The food was typical amusement park fare, junky hot dogs and burgers. The reason that I can't give more than 3 stars lies in the North Pole's utter lack of modernization. I'm not talking about rides, although that could be improved too.... When you enter you are given a purchase card. On the map it says not to lose your card, and they are not kidding. Two and under are given a non-purchase card. All purchases are written on the card and you pay on your way out. When you really think about it, your mind starts spinning with the cracks in this system. If you lose your card, the park policy is to take your credit card info and some unlucky North Pole employee scours the park, looking for the lost ticket and crossing their fingers. My party came in together but my sister and the two year old left for a much needed nap. They did not have the non-purchase card when they went to exit. They were told they could not leave until it was found. Could not leave? Luckily we were still around or else I suppose they would have been given elf costumes and made to live under a concrete mushroom. The park either needs to start trusting their employees to make purchases inside the park or update their policy so a lost non-purchase card doesn't turn into a hostage situation. read more

My daughter just turned 2 last month. My in-laws took us to the north pole today and it was amazing. She loves all the rides with grandpa, she wasn't scare or crying. The food was so good and reasonable. The funnel cake was delicious. We will be back soon for sure. read more

I'd really say 2.5 stars... it wasn't terrible, but not worth the 85 bucks for 2 adults and 2 small children. Many of the rides did not allow adults, and the ones that did, would not allow small children. The place seemed old and worn down, not kept up, many rides not working, santa was "on break", etc. Lots of tough mountain hills to push a double stroller... the food prices however were very reasonable. I bought 4 snow cones and 2 water and was surprised when it was only $9. More or less a very expensive carnival. Really not worth the visit, as there is much more quality attractions we saw in the area. read more

The North Pole is Christmas fun year round! It is great for younger kids. We recently took a 2 ,3, and 5 year old and they all had a blast. The location is perfect, nestled in the mountains. The shops are quaint but definitely a little pricey. Admission was around $20 per person which is a little steep but once in the park the kids can ride all the rides. You can purchase a smore's bag with all the fixings and toast marshmallows on an open fire outside. It was a cute little touch. I would love to go around Christmas time. I do agree with some of the reviewers, the staff was lacking cheer and glee. That is a must in a place like this. Especially when you go expecting to experience all the joys of Christmas. read more

Ok so I mostly got what I expected with this place. Kitschy fun and old rides that have probably not had a recent passing inspection. That's all in good fun but I went there on Saturday and after braving the parking nightmare (what exactly are those men in the yellow vests tasked with doing? Bc they weren't stopping people from parking illegally or organizing in any way) we went in and were greeting by a grumpy old lady at the entrance. I don't think one of the employees we encountered that day was happy at all. You would at least expect some holiday cheer. None to be found at the North Pole!! I'm not really even going to comment on the grump selling "deer food" either but she was a real treat. Also come on deer? They couldn't spring for some actual reindeer?! There were two highlights of the day. 1 was at one of the food concession "restaurants" this is one that is behind the line for Santa's house and by the glass blower shop above the carousel. While waiting in line (because why on a busy Saturday did they only have 1 cashier working where you both order and pay ?) we saw one of the blond teenage boys working there come back from somewhere. Maybe the bathroom? Did he wash his hands after going outside and coming back in? No. But he put gloves on. Ok? No. He proceeded to make someone a rather delicious looking (not) ham sandwich. Then with the same gloves he decided to do a little bit of cleaning which involved wiping a surface with said gloves-not with a towel-with the gloves. He also decided to wipe his greasy face with a paper towel and then roll it up and play with it while still wearing said gloves. The topping on the cake was when he proceeded to make another one of this place's great "made to order" specials with the same gloves!!! This spectacle was wrong on so many levels. I also couldn't help but notice that they were broiling burgers and then putting them in a water bath to stay warm? I can't help but wonder how many people have caught a food-borne illness from that cocktail? I kept it safe and got a hot chocolate. Meanwhile my husband was waiting in line with my almost 2 year old for Santa. We waited about 45 min and didn't mind that at all. But when we finally got in there- what was going on?! Nobody as inside organizing the sale of photos or anything. We took pics with our own camera but were wondering why no one tried to explain the photo packages to us. Then Santa didn't say a word. No "hi" or "ho ho ho" no "what do you want for Christmas?" Nothing. He didn't say a peep the whole 1 minute we were in there and my son sat on his lap. This place was actually pretty appalling. Visiting Colorado from Pennsylvania for a week, and we noticed this place on the way back from Pikes Peak. We decided to visit this park later in the week, and it was a fantastic decision! We took our family of 4 and my in-laws and only spent $130 (this is with entrance fee and buying drinks and food). It helped that the youngest was free, and my in-laws are over 60 (also free), but what a bargain! The rides are geared more towards kids (maybe 12 and younger), but my husband and I definitely enjoyed the rides just as much as the kids! The food is your standard amusement park fare - burgers, hotdogs, pizza, nachos, etc. however,, the prices are very reasonable compared to other parks we have been to. Oh! And you can find FREE drinking water throughout the park! We had a fantastic day, and I hope to bring the kids back here next time we visit Colorado. read more

A great little amusement park!!! Prices are extremely reasonable and there are quit a few things to do here! There is an entry fee and anything else purchased i.e. food, drinks, merchandise are paid for when you exit the park. The amount of rides they fit in at this park is actually pretty impressive. Highly recommended for kids age 2-8 years old. My kids 2, 4, and 6 years old really enjoyed themselves! Staff was polite and helpful through out the park. We spent about 5 hours at the park including lunch. Between entry fees, lunch and drinks for family of 5, plus each kid got a toy at the end at the gift store we only spent $80. read more

I spent the day here with my 6 and 10 yr old grandkids and they had a blast! They've been here before but it was my first time. This is a family friendly venue. Being older than 60, I got in free. With the coupon on the website I paid only $21 each for the kids. Admission includes all the ride and shows. The park was immaculate. The paths appeared to have been newly blacktopped. With the exception of the zip-line ride, which is fairly new, the rides appear to be 1960s or 1970s vintage but freshly painted. They look well maintained. The ride operators all seem sober and the ones I talked to were very courteous. The concession stands are clean and the prices are reasonable. They provide free water at the concessions instead of selling you bottled water. Plan to do a lot of walking and wear comfortable shoes. There is a lot of elevation change between the different ride areas. This is a great family venue. I would highly recommend it if you're in the Colorado Springs area. read more

Didn't know quite what to expect when we drove up. Thought it may have been a dinky place with a few kid rides. I was completely wrong! My husband loved it as well as our 12 and 16 year olds. Good old fashioned park in the mountains. The rides are deceptive! They go faster than they look. Everyone working here was great and courteous. Definitely worth the money. Don't forget to go touch the frozen pole by the huge bear. read more
