Thank you tinker towing! This company saved me when I was in a bad spot. My car died and they found me very quickly. They were kind, professional, and fast. I did not feel like they were trying to swindle me out of money - very reasonably priced. Being incredibly stressed Chris the driver reassured me everything was going to be okay. Saving their number in case of any future emergencies! read more

I've only had to tow my car twice so I never really know what to expect. Chris called immediately when he was on his way and let me know his ETA. This company is very professional and made sure I was safe where my car was while I was waiting for them to show up. I thought that put a personal touch to it. Chris was fantastic. He made sure I knew exactly what was going on and helped me figure out where to take my car to get fixed for a reasonable price. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be using this company again in the future but let's pray that I don't have to. read more

Very impressed with this company! A tow situation is usually pretty stressful, but they made it quick, and affordable. Chris was a big help, and made sure everything went smooth. Good personality, and left me feeling at ease. Thank you guys! read more

I was really impressed with their service. I had been traveling abroad and came back to PDX to find my car not turning over (not a battery problem, I checked). Since I didn't have AAA i was adamant about finding a reliable and affordable tow. The driver, I want to say his name was Chris, showed up promptly and we were on our way. Friendly service and it is great they are available 24/7 since I needed help late at night. Recommended!! read more

My car got a flat tire and I was dreading having to deal with a towing company, but Chris and Tinker Towing were super helpful and made the process stress-free! When I first called them, Chris answered and was very friendly and accommodating. He kept me posted on his ETA and talked me through every step of the way. He was able to fix my tire and get me back on the road within an hour or so. While I waited, Tinker's had complimentary water and coffee and snacks. It was great! I would highly recommend this towing service to anyone in a pickle or stuck. Chris and the gang are great & the customer service was awesome! read more

I was very very satisfied with the service. My car's battery gave up on me and it was about 2 am, so there was nobody really willing to stop and help me with a jump start. I decided to call some other towing companies, some either had a long wait line on the phone or did not respond. I guess it was just an unlucky day for me :( I had never heard of this towing service so I was a bit skeptical. However I gave it a try because I was pretty desperate. They came in no time! Dave was the name of the driver that helped me (I think). He was very nice and understanding. He also checked my car to make sure that it's safe. Thank you Dave (sorry if I messed up the name haha) for your help. You are a lifesaver :)) read more

Called for a tow yesterday but was told they are not towing as their tow truck is broken and won't be fixed for a month.

5 stars to Tinker Towing! my car died and in minutes a truck was there to take me and my car to a nearby shop. the driver Chris was very friendly and professional during a very stressful time for me. I never thought I would be giving a review for a tow company but the experience I had with them made me inclined to share my experience. also was very affordable! read more

Phew, thanks Tinker Towing! I was so stressed when my car broke down and was panicking at first. They let me know how long it would take, and I instantly relaxed. They arrived quickly and brought my car to a nearby shop. I really appreciated how they changed this to a stress-free situation so quickly. It was worth every penny! read more

Great service, when I needed a tow, Chris really came through for me. He was helpful and got me taken care of in a quick and professional manner. Tinker Towing was fast and very helpful. I have 4 kids and our car is broke down. Its 31 degrees outside and our heater is broken. I called Tinker Towing and was told they would be there in an hour. Chris came to our rescue in just 25 minutes! He was such a nice man and worked fast to get the car squared away. Unfortunately there was not enough room in the truck for all of us and so we had to wait for ny husband to get there to transport the kids safely. The tow truck driver amazed me when he offered to wait and insisted that me and the children all pile up in his truck and he would wait outside for our ride to arrive. 10 minutes outside in 31 degree weather what a gentleman! Great company. Great employees. I recomend it to anybody needing a tow hands down. Thanks again Chris! read more

Tinker Towing helped me out of one of the most stressful situations of my entire life. Maybe I have had a pretty good life so far, but when it's icy, traffic is going approximately 1 mph, and you are already a nervous snow driver, and people are sliding around like drunk ice skaters, the last thing you want is your alternator going out. Which is what happened. Thankfully they came as quickly as they could in such nightmarish situations. It obviously took more time (about 90 minutes), but considering the hellish driving situation I can't believe they didn't take longer. Dave made the whole process really smooth from hooking everything up, actual towing and drop off, and finally, billing. All while dealing with someone (me) who was absolutely at the end of their rope. Getting towed is never a fun prospect, and he really recognized that and handled everything with absolute grace. Please, please, if you must spend money on towing, give it to these guys! read more

I recently moved to the area from Florida and ended up needed help towing my car to a safe location. Chris was great help and extremely attentive. He made sure that the process was smooth and easy. I definitely recommend Tinker Towing to anyone who needs help moving their car. They have a great friendly staff and they do a great job at making sure your car is taken care of! Great experience over all. read more

These folks were a blessing. I used to have AAA so I've never had to use a tow truck company before. I found Tinker through word of mouth and I'm so glad I followed through one day. My car has problems with the ignition and it just wouldn't start this time around and it was midnight. Dave came and picked me and my car up and dropped me off at my house. They were even nice enough to help me tow the car the next day to the dealer. 5 Stars! read more

This was really helpful when I was extremely in need of towing. They were prompt to get there as soon as they could and made sure that everything was safe and done with ease and skill. The drivers and helpers were all super kind hearted and polite and really cared about not only getting the job done but making sure it was done well and the costumer was satisfied! read more

Tinker towing was so helpful when my car broke down! They were super quick and knowledgeable! I called them and less than 15 minutes Dave arrived to help. This is my go-to for towing! I didn't have AAA, and needed a quick tow so that I could get to work vs spend hours waiting for a tow. Chris hooked me up. He was totally communicative about when he'd get there and was a total professional. He also recommended an honest mechanic to fix the problem. read more

Quick, friendly and knowledgeable. They really did great.

Can't say enough about Tinker and their guys--my car stalled at the worst possible place and he showed up right on time with a great attitude and got my car hoisted up and hauled away quickly and safely. God forbid I have to get towed again in the future, but I'm calling Tinker when I do. read more

My day was off to a horrendous start - I curbed a flat tire by spinning a u-turn on my way to a catering gig - without a spare or proper tools. I was in the sticks, in a part of town where no businesses or residences could offer any help... I frantically yelped my area code, thankfully discovering Tinker Towing! After calling and moaning about my need to be at work as soon as possible, Dave (the owner!) personally rushed over. The roadside assistance was professionally spot-on. I got to work about 30 minutes late which would have been up to 2 hours had I gone with anyone else. Obviously, they're now the first I call for any roadside trouble. Period. read more

Great service! Keep this number in your cell. At $125, plus $5/mile this a smoking deal for a Portland-area tow. Thanks Tinker Towing. You guys are awesome! read more

Big thank you to Dave, from tinker towing! Car broke down(bad alternator). Now my normal experience of calling a towing company results in me waiting far too long for someone to get to me, but not with Tinker. I waited about 15 minutes, and next thing I know Dave is pulling up, and getting my little Honda loaded onto the truck. I can't thank Dave, and Tinker Towing enough. Awesome service, friendly tow truck driver, and an all around great experience. I will definitely recommend Tinker to my friends, and if I end up needing some help again... I know who to call. Thanks again, guys! read more

This is by far the best towing service I have used in Portland. My car died in a part of town I wasn't too familiar with, and since I had had less than great experiences with some other towing companies here, I thought i'd search out a new one. I called Tinker and in less than 15 minutes Chris came to help me out. He was very nice and fast and made me feel better about the whole experience. I hope I don't have anymore problems with the car, but if I do I'll definitely be calling them again. Thanks so much Chris! read more
