I've only had to tow my car twice so I never really know what to expect. Chris called immediately when he was on his way and let me know his ETA. This company is very professional and made sure I was safe where my car was while I was waiting for them to show up. I thought that put a personal touch to it. Chris was fantastic. My car got a flat tire and I was dreading having to deal with a towing company, but Chris and Tinker Towing were super helpful and made the process stress-free! When I first called them, Chris answered and was very friendly and accommodating. He kept me posted on his ETA and talked me through every step of the way. I was very very satisfied with the service. My car's battery gave up on me and it was about 2 am, so there was nobody really willing to stop and help me with a jump start. I decided to call some other towing companies, some either had a long wait line on the phone or did not respond. I guess it was just an unlucky day for me :( I had never heard of this towing service so I was a bit skeptical. However I gave it a try because I was pretty desperate. They came in no time! Tinker Towing was fast and very helpful. I have 4 kids and our car is broke down. Its 31 degrees outside and our heater is broken. I called Tinker Towing and was told they would be there in an hour. Chris came to our rescue in just 25 minutes! He was such a nice man and worked fast to get the car squared away. Unfortunately there was not enough room in the truck for all of us and so we had to wait for ny husband to get there to transport the kids safely. The tow truck driver amazed me when he offered to wait and insisted that me and the children all pile up in his truck and he would wait outside for our ride to arrive. 10 minutes outside in 31 degree weather what a gentleman! Tinker Towing helped me out of one of the most stressful situations of my entire life. Maybe I have had a pretty good life so far, but when it's icy, traffic is going approximately 1 mph, and you are already a nervous snow driver, and people are sliding around like drunk ice skaters, the last thing you want is your alternator going out. Which is what happened. Thankfully they came as quickly as they could in such nightmarish situations. It obviously took more time (about 90 minutes), but considering the hellish driving situation I can't believe they didn't take longer. Dave made the whole process really smooth from hooking everything up, actual towing and drop off, and finally, billing. All while dealing with someone (me) who was absolutely at the end of their rope. Getting towed is never a fun prospect, and he really recognized that and handled everything with absolute grace. These folks were a blessing. I used to have AAA so I've never had to use a tow truck company before. I found Tinker through word of mouth and I'm so glad I followed through one day. My car has problems with the ignition and it just wouldn't start this time around and it was midnight. Dave came and picked me and my car up and dropped me off at my house. Now my normal experience of calling a towing company results in me waiting far too long for someone to get to me, but not with Tinker.
