I could talk all day and not have said enough good things about Pacific Towing. They are responsive, accommodating, thoughtful, and kind. Earlier this year I broke down on the side of the road and called them; they arrived promptly and were able to provide a roadside fix so I could get home safely and get a permanent repair in place. It was a hot summer day and I was stuck on the side of I-5 without water or shade and the owner called in one of his team that was off that day to come get me since the on-duty rep was out on a tow in another area. They went to great lengths to make sure someone was on side promptly and I was safe and assisted. Months later, my vehicle broke down at home. I wasn't able to be with the vehicle and ride to the shop with Pacific Towing, but because of my first great experience I knew they would always act with integrity. They picked up my vehicle from home and took it to the shop for me, calling when they were onsite and loaded up and right after it was dropped off at the shop. Butch, the owner, communicated well throughout and is such a kind person to boot. He, as his employees, always act with the utmost integrity and thoughtfulness. I have Pacific Towing programmed in my phone now, and they're my go-to for towing and roadside assistance. They're always there when you need help. Moreover, after calling direct, Butch let me know that they work with AAA and he arranged for all billing to go through them since I am a member. Someone I think which was my 16 y/o Grand-daughter last year when she was given the job of cleaning the inside probably left the radio on turned on low which ran the Battery down to 25% capacity? A nice gentlemen which I never did get his name arrived with a big white tow truck and brought an odd looking contraption about the size of a shoebox which started the old girl instantly! When you're stuck across state lines and you need a tow waiting an hour or more is pretty standard. Ryan, our tow truck operator, was there ready to help within 20 minutes of placing the call. We were pleasantly surprised. He even helped diagnose the possible engine issues for our car which was nice. Unloading the car was just as quick. He made a point to get the car parked so it didn't block our mailbox which was great. The cost was less than what we thought it would be as well. He mentioned the benefits of having triple A which I'm going to look into. Another sign of someone who wants to help. Overall an excellent level of customer service. This company has the rudest employees! Not helpful at all! My daughter got her car towed while out of state and was trying her hardest to prove it was her car. They tow company didn't bother to contact DMV like they said they did and demanded a title in hand to release the vehicle. They wouldn't allow us to fax it as we are two states away and no one carries their title in the car with them. They wouldn't allow my daughter retrieve any property from vehicle such as her license to even show that she was who she was. She contacted the police and they arrived and briefly searched car for CA DL and registration. They found an old registration card and the tow yard employee (Chandy) still said there was no proof of vehicle ownership. We asked if there was any other paperwork that was acceptable and they said they would only accept the original title in hand. Safe to say it was going to take a day or two to get title from CA to Washington which is just adding up the fees. Over all they wanted my daughter's Mercedes C320 and all her belongings inside. Since she was on vacation she has numerous items worth good money. Never use this company for any reason!!! If you get towed by them you may have to contact an attorney as we did. Called AAA around 10:30 to have my motorcycle towed. They say they'll be there between 11pm-1am. I end up waiting until 3am before I end up walking miles to a friends house. I was referred to Pacific Towing from another company that didn't have a truck available. AAA told me we'd have to wait up to 3 hours for their towing company to show up. I wasn't willing to wait that long since were in a bad situation. Allen was there within 20 minutes after calling. My battery died unexpectedly on a trip from Ashland OR to Tacoma WA. Luckily I had stopped for gas so I was in a safe spot, but it was a Sunday and I was eager to get home. I called Pacific Towing because they offered 24-hour assistance, unlike many of the other towing companies in Vancouver. The dispatcher sent a driver out to me, and the driver called me when he was on his way. He was incredibly friendly and amiable. He charged the battery using his little charging box, and the car started right up. He encouraged us to keep it running for a while so we were sure it was working before he left. He even gave us a little discount! I was incredibly bummed when the battery died and worried that my day was ruined - but we were back on the road in no time and felt great about the experience. Mike with Pacific Towing was great, they called and offered me the choice of having someone at my location sooner if I didn't mind being towed verses a flatbed, I chose to wait for the flatbed not realizing that Mike's shift actually ended but he showed up as pleasant as could be and could not have been more cordial than he was. Employee was a thief and the owner didn't care. I was out of gas and the guy cheated me three time but after a very long time and dozens of calls I got my money back. First lie was 'you owe me a fee" he demanded. I waited while I had his dispatcher call my roadside assistance dispatcher confirmed I do not owe him a fee. He is supposed to and said he put 5 gallons (but he put only one gallon which cheated me out of 4 gallons). He repeatedly urged me to get to a gas station immediately. (Which doesn't make sense, on 5 gallons I can drive 100 miles minimum). But I immediately went to the gas station and filled up my tank. I could put 20 gallons in my 21 gallon tank. That was proof he lied about how much he put in. I wrote a letter to the owner and described my experience. He defended his employee, made excuses etc and thought my request to be reimbursed for the 4 gallons he charged me for shouldn't be refunded but he said he would anyway. As the weeks go by I keep calling the owner and got whiney excuses as to why he hasn't sent my money. Frustrated and exasperated he took a harsh tone with me and said he would mail it tomorrow. (I hear that one before) and he did mail it the next day. read more

I ran out of gas lat at night. I called my roadside service and they sent out Pacific towing. A driver arrived promptly and told me he would put 5 gallons of gas in the car. He told me that even if I had roadside service, in addition I must pay him $15 -in cash only- for the gas. I told him I was not supposed to have to pay but he insisted or he would not tow me unless I paid the additional $15 cash. I had a $20 bill and expected change. He would not give change! So I overpaid. He put the gas in and repeatedly told me I should immediately get the tank filled. When I filled the tank I discovered he had put in only one gallon of gas not five. The next day I called the roadside service and was told my plan did not require me to make any payments for gas. It took many calls and even a letter to get a refund - no apology. read more

If I could leave no stars I absolutely would! This company was absolutely terrible to work with! I had had an instrument panel issue with my car so I had called Dick Hannah to get the problem figured out they wanted the car towed in so I called my roadside assistance which then called out for Pacific towing to come pick up my vehicle from my work, when I got to Dick Hannah to pick up my car I got in and there were grease stain marks all over the upholstery on the side of the door. I obviously went in and questioned Dick Hannah and ask them why they would leave my car like that, they proceeded to tell me that when they received my car from the tow truck driver that that was already on the door. They said that they had photographed it and talked with the boss of the service department. at that point I had called my roadside assistance to let them know the situation they directed me to the tow truck company that I totaled my car which was Pacific time. When I called Pacific towing to let them know what happened they mediately turns the blame on Dick Hannah. The owner of the company took zero responsibility for what his tow truck driver had done, he also proceeded to tell me that Dick Hannah had cleaned it up so that I should be happy with that and wanted to know what it was that I wanted him to do at that point. This company is totally unprofessional, the owner is very rude, and how could you ever employ somebody who would leave a mess and then not own up to it. If I ever have to use my roadside assistance again and have my car towed for whatever reason I will request that they do not send out Pacific towing. Absolutely the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with!!! read more

I wish there was a 0 star rating because Pacific Towing is a disaster of a company. As frustrating as it is when you're having car trouble, it adds even further distress when you deal with unfriendly and unhelpful people when you call for help. I was having car trouble and needed to have my car towed home. It's mid-afternoon on a Wednesday and I called Pacific Towing for help. I waited for 2 hours on the side of the street before they showed up. I have a relatively pricey car so I didn't want to just leave it on the side of the road. The driver was probably having a bad day because he was a HUGE jerk!!! He even tried to make a pass at me, which also made me feel uncomfortable since I was by myself! I called to complain about the drivers attitude to his boss and his boss was even a bigger jerk and was condescending towards me. DO NO USE THEM!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!! I got a flat tire on a 100 degree day. My wife was in the car with me and has late stage Alzheimers. I had to pull in to a parking lot and get my wife to sit up against a building in the shade as there was no where else we could go. She does not walk much any more; so I had to get her off her feet. I called for one tow truck and they could not come right away. I called Pacific and because of my wife's condition they sent someone immediately. The driver was extremely helpful and courteous. He said there was a tire center 2 miles away gave me directions and then instead of giving me and charging me for an expensive tow, he filled my tire with enough air to make it to the Tire Center. Then to make sure I made it, he followed me until I was almost there. I am so thankful to Pacific Towing, being stranded and with someone who is more and less an invalid is a pretty bad predicament.
