Chicken tostada and fish taco!! So good!!
    Nicole R.

It was pretty good. The prices were a little steep but the serving size was decent and it was filling. Staff wasn't super friendly but they seemed busy. Had to go into the bar to place my order and then find a table outside which was a little tough given the amount of people there. Overall, tasty food but mid experience - if outside was a little better maintained and they had more of a system to seating I would've enjoyed it more.

A tasty healthy lunch on a sunny fall day in Woodstock was what was needed for a break from shopping. Order food & drinks at bar. Grab a seat and they deliver your food to your table. Service was slow but they were quite busy. Relaxing on the picnic tables beside the flowing stream while waiting for our meals was very relaxing. Our street tacos and sides were delicious! If you're looking for a quaint place to dine while taking a break from strolling in Woodstock, this is the place.

We stopped by for lunch and ordered what we thought was comparable to city prices at $16, a spicy watermelon margarita, a tinga taco, and a barbacoa each at over $6. The wife only wanted a margarita, and it tasted refreshing and strong. As far as the tacos, I'm annoyed because, as the lady brought them over to the table, she looked annoyed and was coughing and thankfully not directly on the tacos but close enough. Then she just plopped them on the table. I still ate them because I didn't want to waste the food, and she didn't cough directly on them. They tasted good, and hopefully I won't get sick, but they aren't worth the price.

Pretty torn whether this place is solid 3 or 4, I'm rounding it up to 4, but here is something to note: Drinks: When it comes to drinks, this place gets a solid 4. Both of our drinks, including bae's non-alcoholic mocktail, were on point and we really enjoyed them. Food: This is where the place fell short, we tried a couple of tacos, and they lacked flavor. For the price, I'd skip food here and just come here for drinks. So pro tip, come here for drinks and head to a second spot for food.

Wow! Love what they have done to the place. Every year better. Multiple bars. Outside seating. Amazing tacos. Great selection of Mexican beers.

DELICIOUS handmade tortillas make theeeee yummiest tacos! Love this place (a tad pricey for tacos) but I do love the fresh ingredients and vegetarian options available. My favorite was the fried avocado taco! Soo good! It was a little light on salt and I do wish there were more spicy sauce options. This place stays really busy and they also have a bar side to them. Individual benches available outside to social distance and very quick service. Really authentic and creative tacos. They're very light and fresh! Bottom line: if you want a quick snack, this is a great spot for it

The tacos here were pretty good. Well, it was not the best tacos we've had but we are not sure if there is another place nearby that sells tacos. Service was good. Food came out pretty fast. Nice outdoor seating.

Excellent tacos, especially the fried avocado. The lengua and el nino were great as well.

+ Tinker Taco is located in a really cool spot of the town. It is right next to a river that runs through town. And, is adjacent to 3-4 other restaurants. It is situated in a way that makes me think it is an old medieval town. Things aren't build on a straight line, you take an alley to get to the entrance. - A $6 ea. taco. Please see photos. A bit much, don't you think? - white dude ran the restaurant. Two Mexican ladies making the corn tacos. Why are all businesses owned by them fair-skinned folks? Purchased: fried avocado taco + chorizo taco Total: $12

We were seated in a few minutes and waitress grabbed our drink order. Margaritas of course, mine was frozen. Good amount of tequila, ice ground down very fine and good flavor. Next came the apps and they were the star. We skied all day so had a big appetite. We got the guac, the salsa and chips and the Tuna Tartare. Guac was amazing and the tuna was so good and plenty to eat. Salsa was fine but not mind blowing. I'd get the tuna everytime! I had the surfer burrito which had Jumbo shrimp, seasoned well and served with rice, beans and a nicely dressed salad. Everything was great. Place is kid friendly, casual feel with a touch of fancy. It was a bit hard to find places around this area and further as places seem to close earlier and we enjoyed our experience. We were seated in a more private area which I appreciated and the service was wonderful. We started with the calamari and I was really intrigued by the lobster quesadilla so I ordered that as well. My partner went with their dinner plate option - pulled chicken burrito. The calamari was perfectly battered and fried and it definitely served it's job as an appetizer! There was a large amount and we finished it so quickly that I wished we had saved some to eat with the entrees. The Lobster Quesadilla was quite good and I really enjoyed the flavors in it. I do think that the onions made the quesadilla a bit wet and therefore, it falls apart a bit easily. While I don't eat beans, my partner enjoyed the rice and beans very much and loved how fragrant they were. The burrito itself was interesting as the concept seemed to be more of a deconstructed burrito. It was tasty but wasn't wrapped like a burrito and he thought it could've been improved if it was wrapped with the components inside. Nevertheless, this was a satisfying dinner and we did not leave hungry.

Orange is usually my go-to if it's on a menu and that night they had one option--slightly tangy and tart while still very smooth... My husband's calf's liver was cooked perfectly medium rare, a nice thick cut too and it came with a tall creamy dollop of whipped potatoes. My jumbo scallops were tender and surrounded by what seemed like rings of flavor...the center was creamy local corn, then leek & bacon ragout, and lastly a perimeter of basil pesto. I loved the little pile of sautéed chanterelle mushrooms on the side as well--They paired well dipped into the calf's liver demi glace reduction. Dessert was a bitter chocolate pot de crème that I finished off with the last bit of my 2nd glass of wine. Perfect. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back!

Came on a freezing Thursday evening and had to of course sit inside (can't wait to come here in the warmer months). You order at the counter, pick from their awesome menu, a daily menu that has different items of the day is also available. They make what's fresh and in season. Things like meatless Monday and Trippin' Thursday are definitely a lot of fun to try! Because it was cold and we had just spent the afternoon at a local spa, we were starved. We wanted warm, comfort food and that's exactly what we got at Dixon! Also it's not just comfort food it's comfort staff, they're pretty rad. ***Finally*** comfort, southern twist food, with vegan and vegetarian options. THANK YOU! Droolworthy menu items like the oyster mushroom melt, baked mac and cheese with the option to add local mushrooms (instead of bacon). This place has it all: from buttermilk mashed potatoes to in house fresh made cornbread, you might have a hard time just ordering a few things off the menu. We decided to order different things to try so we got things like the amazing smoked squash (hugeeee and nicely portioned) that comes with those roasted local mushrooms exploding with flavor and texture). Did I say we love mushrooms? Because we sure stinkin do! Got the mushroom and white bean chili (THANKS FOR IT NOT AUTOMATICALLY HAVING HAM OR BACON IN IT) which was DELICIOUS. Paired our meals with buttermilk mashed potatoes, cornbread and the Memphis style slaw. Ok also got to try their kimchi which I recommend NOT skipping. I know I already mentioned this place is dog friendly and really loves dogs. They have a special dog patty made dog friendly with no salt or seasonings so your furry baby can also enjoy. Dogs allowed outside only but it's gorgeous out there so worth it! Thank you Dixon for being more than a roadside food joint, for having variety in the menu, for including most dietary needs, being obsessed with mushrooms as much as we are and mostly, for thinking about the dogs and even having a dedicated patty for them!
