Wonderful restaurant! The innovative frozen margaritas (I had guave) are delicious and not overly sweet. The spicy Cauliflower Buffalo "Wings" were yummy. Staff were very friendly. Guacamole was pretty good, served with cucumber, lettuce, and chips. It's not cheap but also not unreasonable. Definitely worth checking out.

I get upset when certain Latin food restaurant have a two dollar sign price range but this place makes sense. The food ingredients were a higher quality options and fresh. We were having a hard time finding something open and reasonable. Santa Fe saved us this night. Also the dragon inside was so cool.

My wife, Laurie & I went out this Friday evening for a date night together. We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Santa Fe in Tivoli, N.Y. We were immediately greeted by our Hostess Emily, who greeted us with a smile & showed us to our table. Our Waitress, Lindsey started us off with a couple of Margaritas that our Bartender Matt made that were delicious !! We started out with homemade chips with salsa that sets the pace for our delicious dinner. I also had the black bean soup which was off the charts flavor !!. Laurie ordered The Vegan salad & I ordered the special Arugula salad with duck. All of the flavors in the duck salad which included toasted walnuts with infused flavors of salt & peppers also watermelon radishes & pears set the pace for this amazing dish !! All of the flavors worked together like magic. For dessert I had a double espresso & pumpkin ice cream, the perfect ending for this wonderful dinner at this Wonderful restaurant with so many Great people who work there that make you feel as if you were in your own home. Come join us at Santa Fe & You will Love the experience

We were well taken care of by Morgan and the food was delicious. Our regular place for good Mexican and it didn't disappoint.

Very poor lighting. And the food was disgusting. Would not recommend. Service was fair.

Food is ok. Staff is rude. Ambiance is a bit on the dirty side. Will never return and would not recommend.

The space is beautiful, ingredients are all fresh and outstanding, and there's clearly a love for the spot from everyone working at Casa Susanna. The cocktail menu is unique and fun. Yes you could get a margarita, but everything on the menu is so interesting from Raicilla drinks to Carajillos, there's so much to love. The space feels like a film set and you need to make sure you get a reservation so you can enjoy rather than sitting outside or at the bar. Surprisingly reservations were harder to come by than expected the weekend I was there. The dishes are all great, with the Duck being my standout dish, just perfectly cooked and really exemplifying the beauty of Hudson Valley + Mexican cuisine. The tetela was also a real standout despite the simplicity of the dish. It leaned into good mexican food, withou ttrying to do too much. Each and every cocktail was fun and good! We'll be back, but not too often. The prices are high, and match the quality of the ingredients, but at $100 a person or more, it was not cheap.

Since they are already finalists, according to James Beard, I'll spend this review explaining more…read morewhy I only gave it three stars. The food in general was well prepared, delicious and certainly had a sophisticated knowledge of spicing in flavoring. But it's more the minor details that stops an experience from being a really wonderful one. So here are some details, you may think I'm crazy or you may relate. The first was coffee: they didn't have decaf and they don't have half-and-half. I'm not going to speculate why, but for quite a few of us decaf is a true pleasure and it'd be nice to have that available. To the waitresses credit she offered to bring me milk and cream, so I could make my own half-and-half? That was a first! The second was the hot chocolate: the actual hot chocolate was quite delicious, Mexican style with some cinnamon. But it was topped with a mountain of whipped cream and some small crunchy pieces. I think it's pretty standard nowadays that when you're going to top a drink like that the staff tends to ask whether you like whipped cream or not. I really dislike whipped cream so had to scoop all that stuff off. The next one was just simply funny: when you're ordering a side order of eggs, one option they list on the menu is a sunny side up egg, one of the other options is to have a "fried egg". I asked the waitress what exactly a fried egg was, she didn't know. She asked the chef, and apparently they didn't know either. So I ordered it over easy, hoping that was doable, but I just got a sunny side up egg instead. And lastly, was the ambience: the space is quite nice and comfortable, but if you're sitting in the outer ring near the windows and it's a very cold winter day (which it was when we ate) expect to be cold in there. They kindly offered to hang our coats, but I had to keep mine on the whole time. Maybe if the insulation and heating system is unable to keep up, you bring in a couple space heaters for the day?

We've yet to run into an issue finding a seat, the food is delicious, the portions are monstrous, and the prices are utterly reasonable in this economy. Their menu offerings veer toward Tex-Mex, and I'd suggest playing in that sandbox, especially for first-timers. In my limited experience, that's where their kitchen truly shines. Special mention for the birria tacos platter, which is plenty of food for two people, unless you're both ravenous. The venue seems to get some reliable lunch traffic, and staff are constantly bustling. On our first visit, we were served by one of the co-owners, who was wonderfully personable and attentive, even when she was very clearly hustling around making sure things were running smoothly. During our most recent visit, she wasn't present, and I felt like we spent a good bit of time trying to flag down a server--both to put in an order, and again when we were ready to pay our bill. I've certainly heard from multiple proprietors in the region that staffing is a bit of a headache, so it stands to reason that Main Street Restaurant isn't immune. This is a lovely representation of the charming local gems you can find in Saugerties. Considering its small geographical footprint, this hamlet punches way about its weight class in terms of character and quality.
