Everyone has their own tastes. I previously reviewed this place for a one-star and felt the need to delete it and start over. Since my last review, Tini updated their upstairs and opened up a new bar and dance floor. Again, it's not the best place to go to, for me personally, but it's a nice break if you need to step away from Metro for a bit. The upstairs really helps to make it a bit less congested downstairs and less "tini-tiny" feeling. My reason for not loving the place is generally the clientele. I feel so intimidated when I go here, both by the bartenders and the clientele. Maybe it's cause I'm the size of a child, but still. I feel like this place has turned into where all of the straight women bring their gay friend for the first time to show off that they have a gay best friend. We get it, you have a gay best friend. No, just cause he's gay doesn't mean I'm interested in him, honey. Tini is a staple for many gay men in this city; just not my cup of tea! read more

This is THE spot on the Ave. if you're going out for dinner or to party, this should definitely be a stop along the way. They have some of the top mixologists in the city working here- you can order shots for your group or a tasty complex cocktail. They play music videos on all the TVs.... Internet hasn't killed the radio star!! To sum it all up: great atmosphere, good drinks at a fair price, fun friendly & good looking staff, great vibes. read more

This bar really reminds me of a NYC type of bar. The drink menu is awesome. The spicy mango martini is very good! The bar is not very wide so it can feel crowded quick. The staff is very nice and they take your order pretty fast. Arrive early and sit at the table by the window for some fun people watching. read more

Love it here! Indianapolis is definitely up and coming and this bar is very trendy. However, I am docking it down a star b/c the place is tiny. Get here early if you have a party bigger than 3. Most of the seating is at the bar, but there are a few tables. The drinks are great and I think to be fairly priced (a little more expensive than other places downtown) at about $8-12. They do have some bottled beers as well which were inexpensive. As for food, they have small plates which are from the restaurant Recess. Amazingly tasty! Ambiance is great, can be a little loud, but to be expected from a bar that is playing music videos. I would definitely come back here again. read more

Well, it's tini-tiny. haha Expect to shimmy your way through the crowd of people as soon as you walk in the door. Think of yourself as a sardine, perhaps. But really, due to the size it's very hard to feel comfortable. That was the case for me, anyway. But the music was great. The booze was flowing. They knew how to reach the right people. All in all, it's just not my scene - but due to the fact that it's packed on the weekends speaks otherwise for others. Different strokes for different folks. But that's why I love Mass Ave. It's got a little of everything going on and I applaud them for that fact. Will I return? If I'm with the right group of people, anything is possible. read more

Welcome to the Mass Ave scene, Tini! I was visiting some friends in Indy when they took us to meet others at the new video bar. It reminds me of a small scale Mini Bar if compared to Chicago's Boystown (without the half naked bartenders). Tini's has a pleasant, quaint feel with plenty of TVs to watch music videos play while conversing. The bar is nicely lit with LED lights and staff were not only friendly but easy on the eyes. The cocktails were tasty (I had the Cosmo which threw me off since it was transparent versus pink), however, our entire party's drinks were filled far from the rim. Bit of a disappointment for roughly $10 a drink. Otherwise, nice ambience and crowd. Hope you like Lady Gaga since she seemed to be 90% of the videos. read more

I really like what they've got going on here. If you aren't bothered by your company singing along to old videos, then, hey, give me a call! Or, just go here. I love the concept of the names of the drinks being based on music and it just adds an extra smidge of fun. They have lots of cool specialty drinks and shots. The girlscout cookie was so tasty. It really tasted faithful to its name! The white gummy bear was pretty good also; the (chocolate ?) pretzel- not so much. Also love the Purple Raintini. It's a narrow space, with bathrooms downstairs, and they make it work. Late night found it busy, but if you are there around opening time, it's typically pretty empty. read more

I went to Tini for the first time tonight with friends to celebrate marriage equality. It's a tight squeeze and I had to wait a bit for my first drink, but it was a huge celebration on a Wednesday night, so that's to be expected. They opened up the other side of the bar not long after I got there and the service sped up considerably. It was reminiscent of my time in Rome. Loud and in your face while being trendy and always interesting. The drink menu is lengthy, but my first whiskey sour wasn't very good. My second, from a different bartender, was fantastic (except they don't use egg white). I imaging the first bartender was overwhelmed given the unusual Wednesday crowd (yay gay!) I assume more staff was called in and arrived as they could. The cocktails seemed reasonably priced and the crowd was lively and entertaining. The decor is aesthetically pleasing and comfortably trendy. They also have a nice patio that overlooks Mass Ave. The air was filled with chatter and music that was playing from the multitude of flat screens. It was definitely an experience. The crowd was very friendly and seemed to enjoy talking to strangers as much as I do. I'll be back for sure. read more

I love that I can walk in and tell the bartender what im in the mood for and they can make me something to hit the spot. You cant get that just anywhere. The bartenders are nice, the selection is amazing. Ask for thr sweet sex on the beach if you want something fruity! The atmosphere is nice, the place is super clean and they play great music with the videos. You cant go wrong with tinis read more

"Tini" means more than just martinis. Tini must also mean tiny - 'Cuz that place is tiny. However, they do pack a whole lot of awesomeness into their little storefront. Check them out for a great list of signature martinis, but don't miss out on their seasonal martinis either! Example: I had an amazing Pumpkin Spice Martini that tasted like an alcoholic Starbucks drink. Every bartender I've ever met there has been super friendly and always answered any questions I had about the martini list. They also have music videos that play on the wall behind the bar at all times - that can be a little much when the same videos repeat so often. It's cool, but it needs to be changed up every now and again - it's the lone reason I'm giving the place 4 stars. I'd still check it out. read more

What's not to love about Tini? The drinks are affordable. The staff is precious. There's a fun, carefree atmosphere about the place. There are big screens playing music videos from 80s Madonna to Britney Spears to Beyoncé. The music is constantly swirling through the space, and everyone has a good time dancing. A safe space for the LGBT community to love and be themselves is always a win in my book. read more

The DJ that was playing last night has some very ill-mannered associates. I'm not sure if it was his boyfriend but he was so disgusting to everyone. I understand saying no to music requests but being downright nasty about it is terrible. I bartend in the area and my coworkers and I frequent Tini but that DJ is not a great look. read more

The best music on Mass Ave - literally. I love that there are tvs around the bar so you can watch the music videos while the dj spins hot pop and hip hop music. Tini's is pretty small in size but if it's warm outside you can enjoy your drinks there. The bartender are awesome! My fave drink I the purple read more

Once you walk into this bar, you almost think the name should be Tiny, because it's very small. That's the only downfall. The bartenders are super friendly and make great drinks. It's a very nice place to go for a drink after work. Don't let the decor fool you though, there's no dress code, but it is very easy to feel underdressed in jeans and a tee. The drinks prices are a little steep for a college student, but it's a great spot to hit up every once in awhile. read more

Tini in size but not in quality and character. I simply LOVE this bar. Before my first visit here, it used to be half it's size (which is part of the fun of the name) but it has grown to double it's size (and popularity) for various reasons. First, awesome service. These bartenders treat you like you're at home and they know what they're doing. An awesome selection of drinks grace the menu and your palette. Second, the space is a perfect people watching spot to add to your bar hopping list. Fun to peer from one bar to another and to meet people. Third, they are growing! These owners know what they're doing and they are adding an upper floor that will be a drag area and space for dancing. Keep going, Tini's because you are small but mighty! read more

Came here for a work event and was very impressed! All the staff was so nice and the drinks were great. The whole area is pretty narrow, but they have a private room on the other side with another bar. Great for private parties or events. Amazing outdoor seating as well. Great for people watching! If you and a friend are looking for a cool place to have some drinks, make this a stop - but beware you might just end up spending all night there :) read more

I always have a great time AND great drinks at Tini's. depending on what night you go it can be pretty rowdy, but it's always great vibes and cool, vibrant people. The DJ often gets your requests up and you can always find a singing buddy. Tini's is a great place to go on Sunday's if you're waiting for your table at 45 Degrees ( a little tip for you!) Definitely one of Mass Aves gems for a good time. read more

Went for drinks after work one night. The martini selection is good, with options for whatever you're in the mood for. My first choice was tinibubbles (Ketel One vodka, champagne, pineapple juice, and one of the largest blackberries I've ever seen!) This was a nice, not too sweet, martini that hit the spot. Next round ended up being the key lime option. This was pretty sweet but enjoyable. The atmosphere is fun here. Love the red bar and the music videos playing all along the wall. The place is small, but they've done a great job of making it work! They are in the process of changing their food menu so it took us a while to find something they had but ended up with the hummus plate and the mac&cheese. Both were satisfying small plates that I would definitely order again! If you haven't been to Tini, you should check it out! It's a fun place to enjoy some fun drinks! read more

A really great spot for pre dinner drinks. They have a great cocktail menu and the bartenders were really nice. I had a French 75, which is one of my favorite drinks, and it was made just right. There is outdoor seating for good people watching and inside they play fun music and videos. We were only here before dinner, but you can sense that it has a good late night vibe too. read more

I've been here a few times, and I was so excited to have a work event here because I had heard they had expanded. The expansion was much needed, and it was done in a manner that still gives that cozy-intimate feel. The service is fantastic and the owner and manager were both absolutely lovely! The drinks were delicious and not over priced like most places in town now. I adore the atmosphere here, and it is absolutely a perfect place to go dancing or just hang out with friends. read more

Very slow service. When I went up to them and told them they had bad service they were rude to me and said I should "check myself" because they were short staffed after one of their employees died from the FedEx shooting. I felt bad but I also didn't know and they could have told me instead of being very rude to me. read more

Tini (as in teeny) is right. Even on an off night, this place makes you feel like a sardine. In addition, the drinks are a bit on the pricey side but once in a while I wouldn't mind paying a little more for a "peach cobbler" cocktail mmmmm. The playing of music videos is a unique twist for a place, for even eclectic Mass Ave. Overall, a nice place to catch a nightcap but not a place to while away the night like Chatham Tap or even 45 degrees. read more

Don't come here if you're looking for beer - we were sticking to beer on our pub crawl and Tini had like 2 options. We stayed to watch a little of the Olympics on their TVs. The restroom is sort of notable in that downstairs is the restroom. As others have mentioned, it is a very small place. Even on a Monday night it felt crowded. read more

Honestly, I would say 98% of people I know LOVE Tini... including myself. If packed, tiny places aren't your thing though... probably not the best place for you (indoors) but the outdoor seating is spacious (and just as lively, I promise you). Typically it's so crowded, the bar literally pours onto the sidewalk and outdoor seats, windows flung open. I've always loved the bartenders here because aside from being a bunch of babes, they're always having fun and always serve your drink perfectly. Prices are good and the music videos playing are entertaining (REALLY good throwbacks). Definitely an obligatory stop or hang out on a night on the town. read more

They have THE BEST martinis in town. Friendly bartenders and a friendly crowd. It's a very small and popular spot, but well worth the trip.

It's always a good time at Tini's. It's always a packed house with a party going inside and outside.

Amazing Bartenders, music, and atmosphere. It's impossible to have a bad time at Tini. **The happiest place on earth**

I have always loved tini and still remember when there was no dance floor and only one side of the bar was open. We went on a less busy night-probably because Pride was a few days prior-and still had fun. They had a Dinosaur movie night which I thought was pretty neat. I'm glad to see their additions to the original place and look forward to going back. read more

I was here on a Monday night, obviously not the optimum night for a bar. I still had a really good time. There was a special on well drinks which were $5. I got a Long Island for $5 which was sweet and delicious. They have a large speciality drink menu featuring lots of martinis (get the name now?) and shots. I would have liked to have tried a few drinks, but I had to be a responsible adult and drive myself home. They were playing good music which was great for dancing. Definitely will return on a weekend. read more

I love tini. I basically live there considering how often I go. The atmosphere varies on the night but its always a good time. Their signature cocktails are all excellent and unique but I usually stick to Stella Artois, tequila shots, and vodka tonics though. All of the bartenders and bar backs are so friendly and fun, they're the reason I come back! Here is what the crowd is like on each day/night. Sunday: Sunday fun day. When its nice out the patio is crowded and people are constantly going in and out. The party goes on all night and it gets pretty wild. Monday-Wednesday: Usually pretty chill and lighter crowds. Ollie's airs RuPaul's Drag Race on Monday nights so when that is over, people from Ollie's come to Tini. Thursday: With Metro next door having karaoke, people usually go back and forth between Metro & Tini. Its pretty busy and sometimes the dance floor upstairs is open along with both sides of Tini. Friday: Both sides and the dance floor are always open and its super busy with people going between Tini and Metro. I feel like on Friday a lot of straight girls come in here and get really drunk. Saturday: Saturday is usually just as busy if not busier than Fridays. Just like on Thursdays and Fridays, people are going back and forth between Metro and Tini plus other Mass Ave bars. read more

Take me back to Europe, Tini. This cozy little bar with high ceilings, chic design, pop music, and friendly people does it for me. And by "cozy" I mean it's tight in there. Expect to get elbowed in the back a few times if sitting at the bar or gently pushed aside if standing elsewhere. I wouldn't have it any other way, though, with the jovial clientele and amazing, crafty drinks. They have a creative selection and knowledgeable staff who are ready and willing to bombard you with their favorite suggestions. The best part? The bathrooms are actually clean. I'll definitely be coming back. I get the feeling I'll be seeing some of the same great people again. read more
