I really wanted to be in love with this place, because who doesn't love a good taco? Unfortunately, everything was just shy of being right for me personally. While the products seemed good, I just wasn't a fan of the flavor profiles here. Everything seemed too sweet, too liquidy (which didn't help with the soft tacos having only one tortilla), and just too complicated. Like the flavors were too muddled together for me to really taste any of the things I look for in a taco. I'm all for creativity but I felt like it compromised having a well rounded dish. Staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Well, that is until our food came and taco juices were all over the table! Late night hours are awesome. I'd recommend people to give it a try for themselves since the quality of the food was good but the flavors just aren't to my tastes. read more

Just tried this place for the first time and YUM! We had some tacos and the pig bowl and it was all delicious especially the pig bowl. We will definitely make this our taco joint. read more

Tinga Tacos - Tacos Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Best chips & queso in town! The seasoning on these chips is the bees knees! I dream about this combination and it is worth testing the cheesy goodness. Always several tacos to try or even create your own. My two kids can be picky and the cook will make them things not on the menu (like a quick cheese quesadilla). Lots of flavor combinations in this little establishment. Take a friend or two and try a little bit of everything. ENJOY! read more

Best tacos and the queso is perfect! Not much seating so if dining in I suggest going at an off time or just pick up! But so worth it!

I had the opportunity to try as a food truck. I was not starving but wanted to get something small. So I got the cheesy corn. It was $5.xx after tax. $5 on the menu. The menu that I saw online said $4.50. I literally received a 6-8 ounce portion cup with cheesy corn in it. It was like soup consistency too. It was good but for that much money, I expected more. The pictures that are posted appear to be larger portions so I am disappointed that this is what I was given as a food truck option. I have never been to the brick & mortar store but have no desire too. A friend of mine got chips n queso & a bowl of something. She said it was $18! For that much, I can go get a steak dinner at a sit down restaurant. I understand that everything is expensive and the prices of everything has gone up but when the other truck option was a bbq truck and I could have got two side items for $6 and both sides were portioned in a 12 ounce container, I will not be back. read more

What a gem. The best tacos I've ever had. They have these homemade chips and they are to die for. Very decently prices. I love that they are open so late. The staff is super friendly. read more

Unfortunately, these weren't the tacos I was looking for. Run of the mill for a taco joint. This place seems like an after -drinking hangout. The Good Fresh veggie toppings Crispy, flour, and corn tortilla choices Guacamole Good tofu taco The Bad Over cooked meat Underflavored meat Small portioned tacos Overseasoned chips Overall, the concept of this restaurant is good, but their tacos need some refinement to reach further than just 'meh'. I don't see a reason to return. read more

Tinga Tacos - A few seats inside. Very casual atmosphere. - Tacos Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Simple, pocket location downtown. Great later in the eve. Build your own or choose some of their offerings. I tried 3 different tacos (cheese the moment, double deuce, and another) and they were great. read more

I visited Tinga Tacos shortly after they opened, and I was in love! My husband and I traveled 4 hours back home to STL and were still talking about the tacos on the way home! We Loved them! Every trip we make to Spfld we will make sure we go to Tinga Tacos! The flavor was outstanding. The pairings of each taco we had was something I would have never personally put on my taco but I ended up loving it! We love Mexican food and love our tacos and this wasn't your ordinary taco, it was explosion after explosion of flavor bursting in my mouth! I was super impressed!! The place was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly! One of the owners is a manager there; Jessica, she was so kind and helpful and passionate about the awesome tacos! She had great recommendations and we were pleased with every one! Every time we go back we hope she is there to help make our experience! The only complaint we have is that there isn't a Tinga Tacos in STL! read more

One star not for the food--we didn't have any--but for an opportunity missed. We walked in at 2:03, glanced at the lunch special sign, which was still up, and then at the wall to make our selections. The young lady at the corner then snatched the sign away, saying "Sorry, it's after 2." Totally their prerogative to do that, it was 2:03 and the specials ended at 2. BUT it was a moment she could have used to be light-hearted and fun, offer the special to us as late-comers, and sell some tacos. No one was behind us. Barring gracious notes of Ozarkian friendliness, we left for some sliders a few doors down. read more

Amazing tacos at a great price point. The menu is pretty extensive and includes vegetarian options. No tea options was the only drawback

Moved my daughter into MSU and we found you on Yelp! We tried chips and queso, verde and guacamole, all three were delicious! We loved the seasoning on chips! We tried beef, chicken, tri tip steak, and pork tacos. Loved the taco sauce! The margaritas on tap were very tasty and a nice touch! We will definitely be back and let out friends know about it! read more

Tinga Tacos - Tacos Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

The food tasted great, it was just a little pricey. Lunch for two people for $30 is a bit much for this town. In my opinion the tacos are a bit too small to be charging $4 each for. You need at least 3 for a full meal. The standout was the Cheese The Moment Taco. Cheese curds in a taco? Delicious! The cheesy corn was also very good. It looks great inside, like you're no longer in Springfield! read more

The flavor of the tacos was good-but there was about a tablespoon of meat in the corn tortilla, with a dash of onion and cilantro-for $4.50. Should have been no more than two bucks. Not a good value at all. read more

Best tacos I've had in Springfield, by far. This place is a dream come true for me. The closest thing to legit street tacos that I've ever been able to find in the area. read more

The service was great. There was no wait and the food was delicious! I had the shrimp taco-I can't remember the name of it and the udder delight and both were so good! I will go back and try more different kinds. read more

We went to try a variety of different gourmet tacos and were disappointed with the 4 we tried. None of them had anything special and the tortillas they were served on were EXTREMELY soggy. It was a disgusting mushy mess. Not to mention it was $21 for 4 tacos. Will not be coming back here again. There are tons of better tacos in town read more

Second time in. Liked it the first time. Loved it the second time! Don't know why but this time was impactful-Same food, same set up. I wasn't rushed this time and had the double deuce- that's good eats! I'll be back. read more

LOVE this place. Beat tacos in town! The tofu was my fave even though I'm not vegetarian! Everything is so reasonably priced and the girls working were eager to help my husband and myself make decisions on what to order. It's definitely a little gem we have downtown! read more

Good tacos. Very tasty. Definitely going back to try other items. Downtown location perfect.

Tacos were good but the owner is not a nice person at all. They cater to the bar crowds so you're going to get drink people in there. This guy treated my friend like a criminal who broke into his office. 1) she was very drunk 2) his office was not locked at all otherwise she wouldn't have been able to wander in there 3) his words were to me, "I won't press charges against her". WTF man, she got confused on where she was going to she sat down in the closest chair.... We will never be going back there. The food wasn't good enough to forget the way he treated us. read more

Best flipping chips I've ever had. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Fun menu choices and great tasting food. Limited seating. read more

For the money I would of expected a little more. The quality was good but the portion was for a child. But the prices were outrageous. I cook a lot and tacos are cheap to make no matter what the salsa, plus they forgot guacamole I ordered. read more

Found this little gem in Springy & I'm so glad I did! The tacos are incredibly fresh, the chips are great and the cheese curds are literally to die for. Not a ton of seating, but haven't had an issue with it. Also very clean. Definitely will be bringing friends here! read more

Great food! Every thing tasted great. Our favorites were the Double Deuce, the Cheesy Corn and the Cheese Curds. We will be back a lot.

Always try to stop in when I'm traveling through Springfield. $8 lunch special, two tacos, Crusher and Udder delight, as good as always. Fresh and flavors are great. Busy place for lunch. But, service is quick and friendly. I will be back, maybe tomorrow. read more

We were in town for a short time and this restaurant was suggested to us for Mexican food. The staff was very helpful and courteous and the food was super fresh. Their lime crema sauce was so refreshing and their chips and shells are all made onsite. Unique seasonings and fruit pico made for a delicious meal. Small seating area, but the do takeout! I would go back! read more
