Turns out those times were outside of normal work hours. I was just going to find another place, but the wife of the business insisted and told me this was ok for the two weekends I needed. Awesome. First weekend. No problem. Second weekend? She comes out and along with her comes her husband. He demands me step outside and talk to him. He lectures me like a child on how I'm to call if I'm picking my dog up outside of hours. I try to tell him i worked this out with the lady and he cuts me off and tells me no I didn't and continues his point. It's clear that he's the type that can't be wrong even when he is. This was embarrassing and unprofessional and the wife must not have a backbone because she didn't even speak up to defend that WE had made a deal in the first place. Won't be using again. I have literally created a Yelp account for this one review.

Mara has taken care of my cats for me when I've been on vacation or gone for a long weekend. One of my cats never goes to anyone other than my husband and me, but she will go to Mara without hesitation. To me, that speaks volumes. They love her and trust her and that is something you can't put a price on. I know they're in the best care with her and it's great that I never have to worry about rounding up 4 cats to take somewhere else. I cannot stop thinking about the money this woman makes on the lives of dogs that have no life. I paid $1200 for a mixed breed dog that has skeletal problems that can't be 'fixed'. More importantly, I can't stop thinking about the dogs...maybe my dog woud have ended up as a 'breeder'; it makes me sick to my stomach to even imagine it. I just learned that she's moving her 'operation' to Florida, which will be even less regulated than Wisconsin. Scary.
