What a treat to enjoy Gold Star Cincinnati style chili, especially when someone else is making it!…read more It was a busy, early evening when we stopped in. We weren't sure if we were supposed to wait to be seated or just pick a spot. A friendly employee told us to pick anywhere. They have booths, tables and a diner style lunch counter. There was one waitress for the whole restaurant and she was doing the best she could. He ordered a regular five way and I opted for the four way. If you're new to Gold Star, a five way is spaghetti topped with Cincinnati chili, beans, chopped onions and finely shredded cheddar. The flavor was good but the chili was a little watery. All in all, we enjoyed our dinner and wouldn't hesitate to stop in again during our next visit!

July 14th 2025…read more Service people were nice and cracked jokes felt welcome. Food came out before we even filled our drinks which is nice. Tenders 4.5/5 Fresh, juicy, really hot, could maybe use more breading. Texas toast 4/5 Nothing wrong with it, it was just kind of whatever. Fries 3/5 Crinkle cut, no salt, fresh enough. Needed to be nuked with salt. Sauce 3/5 My hottest take, the sauce is overrated. Bring mayo or chick fil a sauce. Slaw 5/5 Really good, fresh, tasty slaw.

I still can't say I've ever had a bad experience at a Cane's location. The service is always great,…read morethe food always ready fast and hot, and I always like how each location has a bit of a local feel. I went with one of my coworkers for lunch because we're both fans. I got the box combo and he got the Caniac combo. Both came out very fast and all the staff were super friendly. A total of 10 chicken fingers and came with fries, a slice of thick toast and coleslaw. The chicken fingers were super tender and moist. There was also a small container of dipping sauce. And when they say the hot sauce is HOT, believe them! I love spicy food, and it definitely had some heat, but it was so good! The owner makes it himself. We got labneh (SO GOOD), hummus, a falafel platter, and a chicken shawarma platter. The chicken was amazing! As was the falafel (not dry at all). The garlic sauce was a little spicier and less flavorful than I'm used to, but I was glad to try it. The only negative was that the hummus had a bit of an odd flavor-- a little spoiled tasting? Though I'm sure it wasn't!

Online looked great, ordered through DoorDash, I always give restaurants half a star more when ordering instead of sitting down. And this was well deserved, I ended up picking up my order because DoorDash couldn't locate a driver for 20 minutes, I ended up calling the restaurant. We got the hummus, stuffed grape leaves. Shish tawook or chicken shish kebab, and tabouli. Again mind you it had been sitting for about 45 minutes. I love the fluffy pita bread, always. The hummus was good, not great I would add a little salt. The stuffed grape leaves I believe came in a can. The tabouli was good, not great, sort of flavorless. What saved the day was the chicken, juicy and well marinated. The rice also was very flavorful. When I went to pick up the food staff was very kind and the decor looked great and authentic. I imagine sitting down would have yielded a better experience and I would go back there as a sit down patron in the future.
