We've been coming to Tim's for decades and it's always fantastic. We went tonight for Fish Fry Friday's and it was packed due to lent season. They told us the wait time would be around 45 minutes we decided to stay and only waiting 15 minutes before we were seated. We were greeted my our waitress and she was absolutely awesome! We ordered their House Onion Rings to share at the table. Tim's is Famous for Fish and it's was just as great today as back in the day. If you're craving great fish, Tim's Tavern is the best in the area hands down.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and even said she enjoyed the food at Tim's. She recommended what she had before, you don't find that as often at restaurants where employees eat the food. It was refreshing. The fish sandwich was absolutely delicious as were the hush puppies. It was busy for a Sunday afternoon but it didn't take long at all to get our food.

I really liked the perch with it's nice texture and breading. Nice service, when I what they gave me free hush puppies! Ok Ambiance, not the best but the food make up for it. Over all very good

The place has declined over the past few years. The prices have increased, and the potions have decreased. I even asked about the wing size before I ordered, and was told the wings were large. Not only have the prices increased, but the credit card fees are included in the price. A 3 piece fish dinner and 10 piece wings cost over 40.00 with tip. It will probably be my last visit unfortunately. The place hasn't even been upgraded.

We've been coming here for years. The fish and shrimp have always been tasty and reasonably priced. Service has been excellent. Wednesday nights is Seniors' Night and prices are 25% off.. A large salad is included. The alternative is cole slaw or a vegetable. The hush puppies are warm and crunchy They are plentiful as well. There is one peculiarity- If you ask for hush puppies on a to go order, they charge for them and they are expensive. If you dine in, you can have as many as you want for free. The clam chowder is consistently good This is one of our favorite place for a quick tasty meal. With regard to ambiance, you might say there is none, but at these prices and good food, who cares?

One of the advantages of having a motorcycle that gets over 60mpg is that it the weather is good after a rainy morning and I want to try a new place I can check out Yelp and then take a ride; that is what I did on a Spring Monday afternoon and I ended up at Tim's Tavern in Canton. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood near Meyers Lake it can be easy to miss Tim's, but is is worth finding it. According to its website Tim's has been around in one form or another since 1957 and has been famous for fish. Tim's is a bit nondescript from the outside with a large parking lot around it. Inside there is a dining room to the right and the large bar room to the left which is where they were serving when I was there. The bar area has a great kind of dive bar feel with old wood, tile floor, low ceiling and red stacking chairs; a casual atmosphere to be sure. The menu is fish and seafood heavy along with burgers and chicken, with many different ways of enjoying each protein. I was just a bit late for the 3pm cutoff for lunch so I ended up ordering the beer battered fish dinner since that is what they are famous for. The dinner comes with 2 sides and hushpuppies. After only a couple of minutes out came the basket of hushpuppies with whipped honey butter. These were some of the best hushpuppies I have had, freshly fried with a crispy exterior and a golden inside. These were not as dense as most hushpuppies I have had, the corn flavor comes through and there are kernels of corn that give a pop of sweetness. Combined with the honey butter I saved most of these as a great finish to the dinner. Shortly after the fish dinner came out, two nice sized thick fillets of fish a huge pile of home fries and rice pilaf. The fish was excellent, fresh Cod with a perfect Beer Batter expertly fried; the fish was mild and flaky, the batter crispy and flavorful. This was some of the best fried fish I have had in North East Ohio. The home fries and rice pilaf were both what you would expect, well prepared and very generous portions. Tim's Tavern really impressed me, a nice comfortable atmosphere, good service and both the fried fish and hushpuppies were some of the best I have had. I will definitely be back. If you are in the Canton area it is near both the NFL Hall of Fame and the McKinley Presidential Library, but well worth seeking out if you want some good eats.

On a recent visit to Canton our friends recommended this restaurant to us for lunch or dinner. It doesn't look like a traditional restaurant from the outside. It looks like they have expanded from the original bar. But it was a very large open space with tables and booths. Our lovely young server was very friendly and very attentive. We love the food and would recommend it to others. Next time we are in town we will visit here again.

The fish was pretty greasy. Not too much seasoning in the breading. Not like it used to be.

Ordered the "Linner" (buffet) which was hit or niss, more miss. Namely, I'll run down some particulars. Chicken parm? Ugh. Dry and coagulated. The breaded shrimp and Coconut shrimp-both greasy. Pulled pork- that was a winner. BBQ rib ends- a bit fatty, but tasty. Cod over lemon rice- was dry and unappealing. And so on.....hey, it's a buffet, and as I mentioned, some of the items were a bit lacking but you'll have that; oddly, struck me as not unlike a Golden Corral. Now here's the twist. Myself, I actually DID spring for the "all you can eat crab legs and steak", and they were both quite good, and the server was attentive to bringing out more on the regular. Just realize, it's like $69 for that option. Pricey? Depends on your indulgence for crab :-) . End of the day, a "meh" experience, and I probably wouldn't make the effort to return Show less

We were one of three cars in the parking lot. The way all this works is that food is brought out to you instead of a buffet style. This keeps the servers busy, which can lead to some delays. I opted to not get the crab, but did have everything else. I walk say that the majority of my food came out cold. Nothing had great flavor and nothing was tender. It was dry, rubbery and tasted like it was made previously and microwaved. Service was good, the place appeared clean, food disappointing.

My husband told me he had made reservations at this place in Canton. I just followed his lead. When we arrived we were greeted by lots of people (the one male host was a little rude though, he's the only negativity we encountered the whole evening, looked at my husband and I like we didn't belong there and snubbed us, but someone else took over) We were seated and our waitress was SO sweet. She told us about everything, since it was our first time. We ordered our drinks and she let us look over the menu. We decided, I got the crab cakes, and my husband got the halibut Ala foley! Both dishes were FANTASTIC! We did end up with dessert as well. Key lime tart so delicious! I'm so glad we found this place, pricey yes, but worth every single penny! We were seated immediately upon arrival and greeted by a very friendly waitress. She explained that Table Six is a family-owned business, which we always appreciate because we love supporting local, small businesses. She also let us know that everything is made to order and brought out as it's finished. The only aspect we didn't love was that the food arrived as it was completed rather than all at once. While we understand that's part of their made-to-order approach, it's not our preferred dining style. We were unable to eat together without one of us having cold food. The food came out about 10 minutes apart. Based on our waitress's recommendation, we ordered the Roasted Brussels Tacos and the T6 Smash Burger. Both were flavorful and satisfying, and we were happy with our choices. For dessert, we ordered the Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae and The Elvis, a banana pudding dessert with peanut butter. We took both to go and discovered later that the peanut butter topping was accidentally left off The Elvis. While that was disappointing, the banana pudding itself was absolutely delicious and still enjoyable. Between the warm service, family-owned atmosphere, and tasty food, Table Six left a positive impression on us. Despite the small dessert mix-up, we'd definitely return if we're ever back in the area.
