I went to Aspetto with nothing but an idea - take these department issued pants, make them out of something light weight and comfortable, put the pockets in better spots, and build something to support a drop-down holster. Oh, yeah - and I want an extra handcuff pocket somewhere. I was asking for a LOT. A little while later, I had it all. And more. The pants they made fit me perfectly, support a drop-down holster, and even have some extra pockets for life's necessities (lip balm, a flashlight, etc.). I happen to think their prices are reasonable. For less than the cost of a brand new leather jacket, I'm wearing a pair of trousers which were designed, researched and developed, and built - from scratch. Someone said they weren't "terribly impressed for the money," and I'm curious as to his expectations. You don't get this level of customization or craftsmanship inexpensively, and "for the money" I couldn't be more impressed. As to communication, when I was trying to find a place to make my pants (several places said 'it simply can't be done') I stumbled on Aspetto's website. About eleven at night, a chat window opened and asked if I needed help. A short while later I was chatting with one of the owners, and the proverbial ball was rolling. You're not going to find a better custom clothing experience, especially for a non-traditional item. Nor are you going to find a better value for such a thing.

Lots of vintage decor and items for sale. The space is quite nice offering a spiral stairwell that takes you to a bin full of hats, kids clothes and VHS tapes. The store overall seems a little cluttered and unorganized but if you have the time to search every nook and cranny this could be your jam! Service was friendly, and the value was great when compared to other thrift stores in the area.

Ordered a pair of boots and some other items at the new Fredericksburg location for Christmas. When they arrived, we noticed some of the stitching was frayed on the toe area, and was concerned it would get worse over time. Made arrangements to order another pair shipped to store. Was notified they were in stock and ready for pickup within a couple of hours. Went to the store to pick them up. Was greeted by Miranda who assisted us. Miranda was extremely professional and helpful. She gave us the 'new' boots to check, and we noticed that these also had some stitching fraying in a different area, and that the soles were scuffed up extensively; and had some scuffs on the leather. In other words, worse than the pair we were returning. Miranda explained that customers try boots on and walk around the store with them, which may be why they look worn. She summoned her manager, Karen, for assistance. Karen came over, and never spoke with us, appearing very disinterested. Miranda explained our concerns, and Karen turned and walked away without comment. We stood at the counter with Miranda and after five minutes, asked if Karen was going to return. We had assumed she was getting another pair of boots. We asked Miranda if Karen was returning or offering a resolution, she stated "I guess not"! Miranda seemed embarrassed by the lack of support offered by Karen. Miranda was nothing but professional, and we feel bad she has such a poor manager. We will definitely not return to this store.
