Thankfully, we found it and brought it back to the same jeweler for repair. Three days after picking it up, the head of the ring detached and the diamond was lost forever. When I returned, I was told, "The head was weak and that happens." No apology. No accountability. I was later told they "can't predict the future." Despite the rings being originally made there and the repair failing within days, I was charged again to fix it using one of the last remaining stones from my mother's jewelry. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. The lack of care, craftsmanship, and basic empathy during an incredibly emotional situation was shocking. I will never return and strongly recommend taking your business to the jeweler across the street.

After taking the band of my watch apart and after working on it for 20 minutes, he became flustered, handed it back to me in pieces and asked me to work on it myself. After, I insisted that he return the watch to me in the condition he received it, his response was "I will have to charge you for that?". WHAT!!! Are you serious?, I asked. I'm gonna make a long story short. The police department was called by me and when the officer showed up the officer quickly determined that this jewelry repair man was under the influence of alcohol. The repairman admitted to the officer that he had a couple of glasses of wine. The officer stated, "you had more than a couple of glasses of wine, I've been doing this for over 30 years". My expensive luxury watch is now in pieces and will be taken to a reputable jeweler. Do not patronize this hack shop. This guy is a jewelry repair quack.
