I had a fantastic experience with Gabe at Jos A Banks in the Central Park Fredericksburg store. Gabe has a great eye for sizing and style. Even though I came in close to closing time, he was patient, answered all my questions, and made my son feel at ease.I have bought a suit, rented a tux and bought a tux there never a bad experience and very knowledgeable staff. Picked up a custom tux last night for my husband. The service at this location is great. We'd previously used Men's Warehouse in Arlington. The suits there were ill-fitting and not the quality we'd expect for the price paid. So far so good on the tux. It was his third time there after ordering and sizing. 1 name. Bill. 6 stars. My 21 year old son has Autism and can be a challenge when it comes to touch and noise. So I was apprehensive when it came to getting him measured for a tuxedo. Bill went above and beyond to ensure my son was measured and comfortable. He was so patient with us. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The manager at Jos A Bank was awesome. My son had purchased his first suit and the pants ripped after wearing them one time. I was worried we would have trouble with an exchange because he had thrown out the receipt. Bill the manager says, "Don't worry about that. I'm so sorry that happened." Just stopped in ONE WEEK before my son's prom. They were awesome and had a great clearance section including tall and slim fits, at great prices. On Black Friday, they have the BEST specials! (I bought 10 cashmere scarves; each was $30). I should also mention (although I'm afraid to do so) that they had NO LINE last black Friday. We were the only ones in the store almost the entire time and the staff simply poured over us helping us do our shopping. The service at the Fredericksburg store is simply wonderful. I've gone back since Black Friday, and they remember me. ("Hey, you're the ones who bought all those scarves!") The regular prices in the store are far too much for my taste, but the specials are simply phenomenal. My hubby looks better than ever in his high-quality shirts. read more

Been shopping here for at least 8 years. Great staff who always seems to remember my name. Store was recently remodeled and looks very nice. Only complaint is that the selection of "regular cut" suits is too limited now that everyone seems to be leaning towards the "tailored fit or slim fit" style. read more

This store in Fredericksburg, Va is amazing!! The people are great but Bill and Juanita go the extra mile EVERY TIME!! Bill treats every client as their the most important one. I spend a good amount of money there because I like the product but more importantly, I love the experience. I very rarely shop online because I respect Bill's opinions and he knows what I like. Mrs. Juanita gives the added detail that I need and quality of craftsmanship in the tailoring. He'll even go the extra mile by calling to tell me about new product arrivals and items that he thinks I may be interested in. And because of his effort, I buy every piece. I've gotta say... With Mr. Bill running the store, and the staff they have currently... It makes me want to shop there all the time. There was a time when I shopped exclusively at Jos A. Bank, and then this store got "new management" that wasn't the best. The service I received from the floor salespeople (namely Peggy and Jared) was like something you've never experienced... They were professionalism defined... The management was truly lacking... UNTIL Mr. Bill showed up! He has taken that store to the next level. I became concerned about the quality of the clothing, but you can NEVER question the value and integrity of the staff that works there now. A special note to Ms. Juanita, the resident tailor. She was all too happy to actually listen to me, and alter my clothes the exact way I asked... Much unlike the dry cleaners who decide what's best for you. The staff is very friendly, the store is in great shape and organized, and they will work with anyone! You can't beat the staff! read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE....doesn't even begin to explain this place. I walked in to get my son fitted for his aunts wedding, not a suit just pants a nice shirt and shoes. There were 5 people working and only one guy that could measure. They said wait in line behind this one gentlemen. After waiting 15 minute for him to finish I was assuming we were next since I was the only one in line. Another female employee then pushed another customer in front of me to get help ordering a suit. After waiting another 30 minutes the guy came to me and told me to come back tomorrow. With the price they expect you to pay they should get more help. They should also of had the common decency to come to me after a few minutes not 45 minutes later. They are extremely slow rude ignorant people. This time of the year being wedding and prom season you would think they would have the brains to hire more people that were qualified to measure. If it wasn't for my sisters wedding I would never go back there and once I return his clothes I won't. And I will never recommend anyone to go to this place. Way over priced way under staffed and definitely needing a lesson or two on customer service. Completely irritated!!! read more

My husband purchased a great deal of items at this store. However after the extremely rude treatment I received when I accidentally brought in a suit from another retailer that needed to be pressed I was treated very poorly. Fortunately with the internet we no longer have to step foot into that store again. read more

I visited this busy store on Sunday, September 2 in the middle of their Labor Day sale. Jared measured my neck size, then allowed me to try on a shirt which was a little too big. I then tried another size which was fine. However, I couldn't find two more shirts I liked in that size and therefore couldn't take advantage of the sale which was three shirts for the price of one. I apologized to Jared for taking up his time and I left the store without buying any. A few minutes later I came back and asked Jared if I could take the shirt I liked and order two more in different colors to get the sale price. He said I could and I did. By Friday, the remaining shirts had been delivered to my home. That's a lot of work for a small sale during an extremely busy time. I am very impressed and grateful. By the way, I bought my first Bank shirt 51 years ago in Baltimore when I was a high school senior. The world has changed a lot since then but Bank shirts (and service) haven't. They're still good. read more

I was a regular customer for years with this business. I went in on the afternoon of 30 Nov. Myself and one other customer in the store and only one sales rep on the floor. Excused himself to get assistance that never showed and had to keep running back and forth between us. Only looking for one black suit, shirt, belt and tie for a function a week away. Sales rep stated they needed two weeks for tailoring and referred me to a tailor in the mall, did find that odd given the time of year. Didn't have my size in pants in black, didn't have my size in dress shirts, my sizes are pretty common (42/ 19.5 32/34). The sales rep did go and ask upper management who were too busy to come out of the back for alternatives which were none. Sales Rep was polite but did seem to pre judge given I was in jeans, t-shirt and a zip up hoodie. Would not recommend this store to anyone. I will say their competition down the street was able to provide outstanding service in relation to my unreasonable expectations. read more
