I hate to give bad reviews, but everyone thinking about using Tim's Computers should read the bad reviews on this site prior to making a decision on the good reviews. I bought a brand new Lenovo Computer there (4 months ago) that has not worked right since I bought it. It has been in the local shop twice and was fixed another time while I waited. The fix lasted 2 days. I have been asking for a replacement but they refuse to replace it. Two weeks ago they decided to send it back to the factory for a "fix" and I called today and it's still at their location on Sherwood. Nothing progressed since I dropped it off. It's very simple, I made a huge mistake using Tim's Computers for my purchase. I should have known better when I walked through the front door and had to dodge junk to get to the counter. Go check it out. Fred Sandford's junkyard looks better than Tim's place of business. I think I'll just take my lumps and go buy a new one elsewhere and let the credit card company fight the vendor. "Tim's Computers" is fab! I have had to use their service a couple times and they have been excellent both times! The staff is here is so helpful and so knowledgeable on their technology! Their prices are affordable and will try to find used parts, if they can. If you ever get a chance to meet owner, Tim... he's an absolute peach and provides probably some of the best customer service in town! He was referred by a friend and I will never go to anyone else, if I am having computer/laptop problems. I wish I could rent one of the tech associates for the whole day to give me a run-down on all my technology and how I could effectively use it. They do charge an additional fee, if you need to rush your service. If you are not in a rush, they will get things back to you within a decent amount of time. read more

Been going to Tim's for several years now and have always been satisfied but my most recent visit saved my a$$. My laptop was flashing a battery low message forever. Well being the lazy laptop owner that I am I ignored it and because I mostly use a desktop I just forgot about it. Then realized I had a workshop coming up very soon where I would need my laptop so I rushed over to tim's expecting that I would have to leave it (but secretly hoping I wouldn't have to do that) and he remedied the problem on the spot. He had a battery on site to switch out and he notified me that I needed to update my laptop badly so he gave me instructions on how to do. He got me right. Very thankful! And I also need to add that he was short staffed but did not use that as an excuse. He got my laptop to plugged up and got to problem solving....while helping other customers that came through the door. read more

Staff cares and is patient even if you don't talk computer lingo. They have fixed my computers for 15 years and always keep me up to date.

I took my laptop to Tim's computer only to be told my part would come in within 3 to 4 days as I call to check on my computer they was giving me the run around and did not know if my part was ordered. Came in on the 5th day and no one ordered my part or started to repair my computer it was just sitting and I would have to wait another 4 to 5 days for the part to come in. I shouldnt have to double check to make sure they are doing their job that is not professional . and then ask me to pay before any work was even done. I've been thinking lately of upgrading my CPU for my current gaming desktop but really didn't know what I could put in or have to change to be able to upgrade. I went to Tim's once or twice for just a part before and also my mother has been a customer of his for years. I'd have to say I will not be going to any large chain again when it comes to purchasing new gaming hardware. I first called this morning, asked my questions, and was given an immediate response with no doubt from Mr. Tim and Brett. Brett talked to me for about 15 minutes and ended up giving me plenty of choices when it came to upgrades or just a whole new gaming pc itself. When I arrived I ended up telling them my budget and they immediately knew what to set me up with. I could've ended up paying $800-900 from a chain like Best Buy, etc but only spent around $500. Installed my upgrades for me and gave me a nice store credit for my some of my older computer hardware. Thanks, the new build is running amazing! Will be back for sure! Austin read more

I wish I could leave a better review, but service here is atrocious. Tim is a cordial guy and legitimate seems to care about customers, but that doesn't seem to extend to his employees. But what hurts them the most is the lack of order or timeliness. They wasted 2 weeks of my time, had not even started, and had no clue when they would. The prices they charge are also ridiculously higher than other places with no reasonable explanation why. It's clearly not the service. Very unprofessional and incompetent. read more

I took a Dell laptop to Tim's Computers to have the right hinge repaired on 11-23-20. When you take a computer in for repair, would you have the expectation that all parts for your computer would be safe and secure during the repair??? Apparently this is not the case at Tim's Computers. Today, the tech called me to tell me the repair would take longer because THEY CANNOT FIND MY HARD DRIVE. I told him I wanted to speak with the owner, Tim, and the tech told me he was busy but he would give him a message to call me today. As of 5:12pm, I have not heard from anyone. read more

I had a fully functional 360 touchscreen laptop. I brought it to them because the corner of my screen popped out. 2 1/2 months later after them having countless excuses as to why they haven't finished, they said I could come get it. My touch screen doesn't work anymore, the mouse makes a clicking noise and is unresponsive sometimes(they told me I would need to buy an actual mouse), and a keyboard that they told me will stop working every few weeks, so I'd have to trouble shoot it. I can't say enough about how great it was calling Tim for my computer problems. I was unable to bring in my two computers so Tim sent a Merrick out to my home the next morning. I even tried to postpone the call due to a cash flow problem with my business and Tim insisted to come out and do the work and I could pay him later. They kept me informed on when they would arrive and Merrick was on time and worked for an hour and a half but only charged me for one hour. Merrick resolved my problems. My Family have been customers of Tim's Computers since before Tim opened his on Computer Service Business back when the First Gulf War began. Tim has an excellent Computer Business whether purchasing a Computer or having work done on your computer, We have never had to return any of our computers for a problem that was not resolved. I believe the only reason I'm giving two stars is because my device was done, but it happened within time. They had my computer for a little over a month and a half just to fix a screen. The bottom of my laptop was missing the rubber stand at the bottom, and my vent on the side was all sliced up into pieces. It's like they beat up my computer and didn't even think about telling me that they physically damaged it with no discount. Didn't notice me computer was beat up until after I paid $185 to get it. Save yourself and go to another repair shop. There's plenty in this area. read more

Well Some Would Listen But There Advice Was With There On interest in mind ( If you know what I mean). But when I Call Tim's He Took the extra time to evaluate the options in my best interest and lead me in the right direction. He also found me a compatible part at a more than reasonable price.
