Charlie's offers elevated bar food. Everything we had was super yummy. Love the nice plastic cups for drinks too; nice touch! Service was quick, friendly and attentive. They have ample parking, either in their lot adjacent to the restaurant or right across the street in an overflow lot. We didn't go inside so can't report on that vibe. This is not super close to us but it n a summer night it's the perfect place to be!

Love that this is a family friendly spot and they were able to get us onto the top deck easily with a stroller. Love that it is on the water! Started with some drinks and the ahi crisps, both were wonderful. I tried an old fashion and it was wonderful. The Watermelon spicy margarita was also very good. LOVED LOVED the chicken tinga tacos, they were wonderful. Service could be slow at times, not sure if this is normal or not with the amount of guests, but service was good but I would not say great. Items were missed including waters when asked twice. Could have just been the day, not going to mark down on it. Seriously, this is a great local spot and I would definitely go again. PROS: Great food options Drinks were wonderful Ambience is wonderful On the water Valet options- helps with the parking issues CONS: Parking can be difficult

I've been to mallards a few times now and always is amazing!…read more Our usual go to is the shrimp boil for two. This shrimp boil is some of the best in Minnesota that I've had! We've brought countless friends here to try it and it's a heafty feat! You get around 40 to 50 pieces of shrimp, around 10 things of potatoes, six things of corn, and sausage too... it's humongous. You really get your moneys worth! If I'm being honest I haven't tried anything else here but I can assume it's equally amazing! I'm really looking forward to coming back here in the summer and enjoying this on their outdoor patio. But so far really love mallards and will always recommend it as it go to spot for anything seafood related! At our most recent stop our waiter was kind gave us lots of recommendations and was quick to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything throughout our entire experience. This goes for each time we've been here, the service has always been wonderful. I find it this location really unique and it sits on upscale while also being able to be casual. Thank you Mallards for a wonderful time!

The best thing I ate was the bang bang shrimp taco. Got it during happy hour. Shrimp was crispy and saucy. Had a nice lil spice to it. The crab cake was thin but still good. my son enjoyed his smash burger, the Tennessee spicy chicken sandwich was good but a little dry. Cajun shrimp with creamy corn risotto was ok, was t expecting so much risotto. The shrimp was cooked to perfection but risotto was a big too heavy. The jambalaya was lacking flavor and spice.

Maynard's has so much space, making it a great spot for bigger groups, and the outdoor patio is amazing. Plus, being right on the lake makes the whole atmosphere that much better, especially on a nice day! For food, our group tried the Ceviche, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Cranberry Turkey Melt, and Firecracker Chicken Wrap. Everything was a hit! And you absolutely can't go to Maynard's without getting the fries with seasoned sour cream -- a MUST! Overall, we all loved our food, the service was great, and it was just as fun during the day as it is at night. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

There is a parking lots but expect to park in the street or down the street. Given how busy it always is, the staff keeps up! Our food was out fairly quick and our server was attentive! I have been here before, but the food quality seems to have gone down hill. At least for the outdoor patio (the menu is different inside) I had the walleye sandwich and it was not good. The quality of fish, the bread tasted stale and there was too much bread and sauce. The burger was a standard burger and nothing special. The ceviche was good!! But it's not chopped up, and was hard to eat with the chips. I did get some alcoholic drinks and those were great! My personal opinion is that the drinks and apps here are good! Anything else is very sub par... The vibes here are awesome! I will be back but sticking to the apps and drinks

Last night we skiped the front bar and headed back to the Williamsburg room- it's awesome! Andrew was behind the bar entertaining everyone with great cocktails and menu recommendation's. We almost chose to eat at the bar because of him! When we got to our table, we were welcomed by Bonnie. She made sure our evening was special (birthday celebration) and walked us through the menu. We were warmly greeted by the host who sat us right away in a sunny spot. Our server was wonderful. I ordered a drink that ended up not being up to par, and he kindly offered to switch it to something else with grace and class, without making me feel badly for asking this. This goes to show the caliber of this long standing institution. Customers are treated well and are respected here. Our snacks from the menu were delicious and perfectly sized. The shrimp cocktail was made well. The lamb meatballs were flavorful and hearty. My Hemingway Daquiri was refreshing without being too liquor forward. Love all the Luxardo drinks on the menu! We will definitely be back!

It's consistently fresh and flavorful, though I'd personally love a bit more sauce on it -- luckily, that's an easy fix since you can always ask for extra on the side. I felt like they went to an extra effort to accommodate one of our group who has a severe peanut allergy. Food was meh. Pizzas were dry and kind of bland. Burgers were decent but nothing unusual (they met expectations). Fries were hot and crispy. Yay. My daughter who has high standards said the turkey Brie sandwich was "really good". Overall, it was fine but in the North Loop there's a lot of options. Some of their menu options might be a lot better and I am sure the rooftop is fun, but overall the food wasn't anything I was too impressed with. I'd try it again if others want to come here, but if that never happens, I'm fine with that too. Considering how competitive the MPLS food scene is and how expensive it is to eat out these days, NOLO needs to step it up. They're almost there.
