LOVED LOVED the chicken tinga tacos, they were wonderful. Service could be slow at times, not sure if this is normal or not with the amount of guests, but service was good but I would not say great. Items were missed including waters when asked twice. Could have just been the day, not going to mark down on it. Seriously, this is a great local spot and I would definitely go again. I love Chimichurri and a horseradish sauce. This dish has both. Honestly, this might have been my meal highlight. We also ordered a Caesar Salad with our starter and no complaints. For our main we shared the 6oz filet and the Shrimp Scampi. The steak was tender and cooked just as we asked. Wish it had a little more seasoning but nothing to complain about. The Scampi felt like it was lacking something. I would have thought that the mushrooms and leeks in a white wine cream sauce would have added plenty to this dish but it seemed to be a bit bland. We also ordered the asparagus with hollandaise sauce and we enjoyed it. All in all we were happy with our visit. I will definitely be back to sit at the bar for some drinks. I really appreciated their bourbon selection!

We've brought countless friends here to try it and it's a heafty feat! You get around 40 to 50 pieces of shrimp, around 10 things of potatoes, six things of corn, and sausage too... it's humongous. You really get your moneys worth! If I'm being honest I haven't tried anything else here but I can assume it's equally amazing! I'm really looking forward to coming back here in the summer and enjoying this on their outdoor patio. But so far really love mallards and will always recommend it as it go to spot for anything seafood related! At our most recent stop our waiter was kind gave us lots of recommendations and was quick to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything throughout our entire experience. This goes for each time we've been here, the service has always been wonderful. I find it this location really unique and it sits on upscale while also being able to be casual. Thank you Mallards for a wonderful time!

Cajun shrimp with creamy corn risotto was ok, was t expecting so much risotto. The shrimp was cooked to perfection but risotto was a big too heavy. The jambalaya was lacking flavor and spice.

I have been here before, but the food quality seems to have gone down hill. At least for the outdoor patio (the menu is different inside) I had the walleye sandwich and it was not good. The quality of fish, the bread tasted stale and there was too much bread and sauce. The burger was a standard burger and nothing special. The ceviche was good!! But it's not chopped up, and was hard to eat with the chips. I did get some alcoholic drinks and those were great! My personal opinion is that the drinks and apps here are good! The meal was delicious, service was top notch and we definitely be back sooner than the 50 year gap since our last visit (when we're HS seniors). We completely enjoyed the lobster/cauliflower/gouda melt appetizer- in fact this might have been the star of our meal. Moving on we shared a wedge salad that was fresh and delicious. For our main course we shared Steak Diane and asparagus. The combo of the steak with the creamy sauce over a bed of mushrooms was superb. Our meal closed with an ice cream sundae for our anniversary treat and we also shared the grasshopper pie. We loved the pie! The side serving of asparagus was much more than we needed - I might skip that choice for the next dining occasion.
