I woke up with bad back, hip and thigh pain. I decided to see a chiropractor and it seem to make the paid a little bit better but the pain came right back after a few hours. I went several times. I have been going to Dr. Jennings for several years now. I was originally referred by my friend and her husband who both have been to see Dr. Jennings since he was in school over 20 years ago. On 05-22-13, I went to see Dr Timothy Jennings. I mentioned to him my three basic problems and he assured me that he would take care of them. 1)cervical spine (moderate spinal stenosis), 2)lumbar spine (anterolisthesis) and 3)ribs (costochondritis). I gave him the MRIs to have a better picture of my situation and he promised me that he would take care of me. The whole treatment would cost me $3,204.00 and I had to pay $1,602.00 (half) in the beginning. Which I did, the first day. It did not take me too long to realize that all his focus, would be on my lower back and each treatment did not take more than two or three minutes. The first disaster for me, started when he used a heavy duty metal massager on my left side of my spine. At that time the pressure of the massager squeezed my front ribs and flared up my costochondritis. The result was, I could not sleep the next nights, until I found a pain doctor (Maia Chakerian) and she sent me to the Silicon Valley Surgery Center for Intercostal Nerve Block with fluoroscopic guidance. I had to pay $775.00 which was only the 30% of my co-payment I did not give up on him yet, because I thought he would take care of my neck pain (pinched nerve). He continue to treat my lower back (few minutes) for the next two months and then he was sending me to the decompression machine for extra lumbar treatment On 07-31-13, I decided to remind him that he was ignoring my treatment for the cervical spine. Then he adjusted my neck for few minutes. Then I asked him, "why have you never send me to the cervical decompression machine that you have in the next room" and his answer was "go ahead". When I laid on the machine, I noticed that I did not feel any motion and when I was reaching the last seconds of the 10 minutes that was programmed, the machine instead of decompressing me, it started to squeeze my head and my neck. The pain was intolerable for the next hours and days. I thought I came to him for improvement and it looks like that I will be disabled in the wheel chair. Who knows if the machine was defective or his female assistant did not know how to program it. When I explained to him what happened he said "I should have never let you, use this machine" but he never said, why. I came back to his office, the next morning for a treatment and I was wearing a neck brace to reduce the pain and instead to call me, in his room for treatment, he was pretending that he was busy and he was going from one room to the other, without ever acknowledging me. After 45 minutes of wait, he decided to call me for treatment but he was not able to alleviate the pain. He recommended to come to his office again the next morning at 9:30 (Friday 08-02-13). That morning from 9:30 to 1:00 I called three times to talk to him and every time I was getting excuses from his secretary that he is not available, but he is going to call me back. Eventually at 2:45 he called me, to tell me that he will have time to see me at 4:00. I went at that time to his office, but he could not reduce the pain in my neck. I knew that I would have a very painful weekend. The next week I found a pain doctor (William Hopkins), who helped me to recover with a cervical selective nerve root block. He gave me one steroid injection on each side of my neck. This time I had to pay $1,000.00 out of my pocket, because he did not accept my insurance. He is a very unique doctor. First he never looks straight in your eyes. Second before he starts the treatment, he is going to ask you, to sign a legal paper that you forfeit you rights to send him to court in case of malpractice. According to the document, all claims must be arbitrated. I'm wondering how many patients have sued him so far. Third he is talkative until you sign the contract to pay him $3,204.00 and after that, when he starts the treatment he is the man of few words, like: "lay down" and "get up". His style is assembly line MY ANSWER: 1)Dr Jennings, my review pinpoints promises and mistakes you made and lets say, that I am the only one that suffered through your practice 2)What part of my story was fabricated? 3)Why did you offer me money to delete my review? I was referred to Dr. Jennings by a friend who told me he could help me with headaches. Since I had been to chiropractors, acupuncturist, natural medicine doctors and several medical doctors I was skeptical. I got some relief but none had been able to help me for more than a few days. I was told that Dr. Jennings' program was like no other. I attended the workshop on fat loss and found that the information presented was very interesting. When I first met Dr Jennings, I was in bad shape. I had become bedridden and was dependent upon my family members to assist me with all of my needs. I had it in mind to go see Dr. Jennings in 2015, and though it took me until 2016 to accommodate appointments in my work schedule, it was exactly what I needed. I grew up an athlete - I played tennis and basketball when I was younger, had my fair share of snowboarding, and played club sports in college. I was abroad for a couple of years in the Peace Corps, and when I came back I joined a rock climbing gym. I didn't ever think I had any major injuries or needed to see a chiropractor, but after months of working up to climbing V4 routes, I noticed that I wasn't progressing. Update, 1/4/18: Now I see Dr. Jennings wrote that I lost 20 pounds in two months & that is simply not true. I was going there for about 6 months. Believe me, if I'd lost that much in such a short time I wouldn't have written my original post! UPDATE: I see the doctor posted that I didn't follow the program correctly & that just isn't true. Harsh diet, cravings, and bounce-back weight gain: I can't say it doesn't work, because it does, up to a point. Couldn't see any difference made with the Zerona laser treatments. What he gives you is a drastic diet (no carbs, no dairy, no sugar, no starchy vegetables, fruit only in the morning). It's advertised as "you'll never feel hungry" & "no cravings" -- just wasn't true. After about 10 weeks the diet becomes even more strict. So yes, I lost 20 pounds in about 3 months. But the second I went off the diet, it all came back. Tried to go back on the diet, but for some reason, finding it extremely difficult (Who know how our brains work? You'd think if I could do it for 6 months I could it again, but much to my frustration, I can't.). Let me begin by saying that Tim Jennings is that very best chiropractor that you could hope to be adjusted by. He's amazing. I started going to him more than 12 years ago, and he's worked wonders for me. He also spent a lot of time with me in each session, and he answered all my questions. (This was in the mid-to-late '90s). Several years went by, and I saw other DCs (mainly because of the convenience of their locations). About four years later I went back to Jennings. A lot had changed. Apparently word had gotten out about how good he is. He raised his fees by a gigantic margin, and his office was crowded with patients. It was a bit of a cattle-call. He had three treatment rooms, and he was racing from one room to the next, spending a short while with each patient before moving on. Each room had a table with a patient lying on it, waiting for his or her turn. When I had gone back, I was adjusted by him once, and then one of his office workers told me that I would need to pay more than $2000 in advance to receive a series of future treatments. He and his assistant also used scare tactics, telling me that if I didn't start getting regular adjustments - for the rest of my life - I should expect to be virtually (or literally) crippled later on. The session I had with him also lasted, literally, only a few minutes. I had several questions for him, but he kept inching toward the door and turning away from me as I asked, letting me know that he was too busy to talk. I found a good chiro not far away who's almost as good, who spends more than five times as much time with me, answers all my questions, and charges far less. Most importantly, I've taken up some very effective regular stretching exercises, and my back is now better than it's been in 25 years. I'm not crippled yet, despite those warnings. Far from it. Again, Jennings is great, but unfortunately he's become too successful and greedy. When I went back to him he made me feel very unimportant. If you go to him, expect skillful adjustment, but also expect to pay about one dollar for every five seconds of his time, a huge up-front payment, and a cattle-call atmosphere. read more

Dr. Jennings is a one of the most professional people I have ever came across in my 50 plus years of life. I first went to him because I had severe knee pain which kept me from walking normally. I thought I had to be confined to a wheelchair as I aged. The very first day at his office, his adjustment led me to walking straight without any pain. I cried. Yes, he is a great chiropractor. I took my daughter to him when she was 17, because she complained of her back pain for many years but her regular doctor never properly diagnosed her condition. On the first day, he took X-Rays from several different angles. What reveled was shocking. She had Scoliosis and we never knew it. He began working on her 3 times a week until she went off to college in a different state. Now, every time when she is in town, she goes back to him to get adjusted. She loves this doctor. Because of his reputation, there are many clients come to his office. These people are very happy to wait 10 minutes for their time slot. I never thought this office herded people like cattle as the one who posted. The front office is beautiful with slow water fall and calm music. I took my husband there when he suffered from back injury. My husband is very critical of any professionals who are not up to his standard. With 3 treatments, he is like new and he will be going back for more sessions without me telling him. I asked Dr. Jennings if I could pay fees as we go along rather than pay it in total sum up front. He told me Yes. His reason for suggesting many sessions as a package deal is to have patients go through complete process to improve their ailments. I understood what he was saying. In my opinion, Dr. Jennings is a very compassionate and intelligent person who wants to strike a balance between helping people through his skill and run a business. I recommend him very highly. At least you owe it to yourself to go and talk to the best chiropractor if you need one. Then if you want him to be your chiropractor, you can discuss about the payment options. I suffered a terrible injury to the spine where the C2-C3 were messed up. A top notch spine surgeon at Stanford told me I had no other option but a surgery to correct the problem. I couldn't walk right, I couldn't hold up objects without pain, I couldn't raise my right hand above my head, and most importantly I couldn't wear high heels. I was sensitive to noise, brightness and motion. I was messed up. I felt terrible! Thanks God I was referred to Dr. Jennings from another Chiropractor who I totally trusted. He was telling me, "if Dr. Jennings can't help you get better non-surgically I don't know who will." I received the treatment from Dr. Jennings for a year until I moved away. He did warn me that with spine injury it does take a long time to heal and that I should do everything to avoid relapse. I did everything Dr. Jennings advised me to do. Gradually I got better. When it comes to back problems and treatment of pain, Dr. Jennings is indeed excellent. I've always had back problems all my life; About a year ago, I started having difficulty getting dressed. It literally took me an hour to get dressed in the morning. Suddenly putting on my socks took huge effort, not to mention getting up out of bed even hurt..... I was even walking around much like a 90 year old man because of the intense back pain i was suffering. Needless to say, after just a week of treatment I saw and felt HUGE gains in my progress in dealing with my bulging disk. The one drawback is that Dr. Jennings is expensive and usually requires an extended number of sessions(for me at least) so it does add up quick, but the relief is amazing! read more

I saw an add for a free weight loss clinic and thought what do I have to lose. I have yo-yo dieted for years. In the first week of starting the zerona treatments I lost 4 lbs by the second week 7 lbs by day 65 I had lost 50 lbs. the difference from any other weight loss I have tried is that Dr Jennings educates you on how your body reacts to different foods and he personalized your treatment to fit you! My mother has been treated by Dr Jennings for 5 months. To be honest, my first impression was that he was a bit stern. The fact is; he appeared to be stern because he wants what is best for his patients. He is a very caring doctor. He has a lot of different equipment to help his patients. He uses different technique to treat his patients. Customize treatment. The improvement that my mom had made since she received treatment by Dr Jennings is remarkable. I really have to thank him for "saving my mom" from being totally immobile. I admit that it has been quite a commitment. 3 times a week can be difficult. However, it's worth it. I have been telling my friends about him. I think different people might response differently, but it's worth trying.
