Omg we went here for valentines and it was the best decision we could have made. I've always wanted to try one of these out. It was like $45 for an hour per person. Not bad. We picked the Simpsons theme and it was so cool. We literally were inside the show. They start with a video and you have to solve clues to move on to the next clue and unlock a secret door. It was so much fun and if you got stuck you could always ask for help. Unlimited clues. But we tried hard not to use them unless we were really stuck. Everyone had to work together and we escaped with 58 seconds to spare!! Definitely would go back and check out the other rooms . Except the zombie ‍ one. We reached out to William Santiago, the owner, who confidently said the room was "supposed to have no flashlights" offered a heroic 20% refund. So generous! Our group of five went to Timebox Escape Room, and this was by far one of the worst escape room experiences we've ever had. From the start, we could barely see anything the lighting was absolutely terrible. There was only one flashlight for the entire group, and most of the time we were fumbling in the dark. We had to constantly ask for clues just because we literally couldn't see. The puzzles themselves were poorly designed and made no sense. Despite the website claiming this room had the highest probability of escape, we couldn't even engage properly due to how dark it was. We've previously done other escape rooms, including Springfield, which was labeled as medium difficulty and was far more fun and logical than this one. Our game master, Maria Hernandez, also messed up the hints twice, and the clues she did give were confusing and unhelpful. For example, she told us to look in the "gray box," but the entire room was full of gray boxes. Everyone in our group felt the same frustration. We paid $225 for an experience where we couldn't see for more than half the game. Only once we reached the third room did the lighting finally improve by then, it was too late, and most of our time had been wasted. Afterward, I reached out to the owner, William Santiago, to explain how bad our experience was and requested a refund. His response was disappointing. He said the room was "meant to have, no flashlights," which makes no sense when you can't see into any of the boxes or puzzles. He only offered a 20% refund, which felt like an insult given the circumstances. He mentioned he'd speak to the staff and follow up, but l've never received a call back. For the price and the hype, this was an absolute letdown. I would not recommend Timebox Escape Room to anyone especially when there are far better and more enjoyable options elsewhere and probably an owner that cares about people's experience. The "lighting is part of the theme" explanation might sound convincing internally, but it doesn't hold up when multiple reviews across several platforms have repeatedly described the exact same visibility problems over a long period of time. At that point, it's not a theme. It's a neglected issue. You also mentioned conducting a "thorough review," yet the consistent customer feedback says otherwise. When a company claims everything is working at 100% while customers cannot physically see the puzzles, it suggests a disconnect between management's narrative and the actual guest experience. Regarding the accusation of "threats".. providing honest feedback and stating an intention to leave a review is not a threat. It's consumer transparency. If I intended to threaten anyone, I assure you, I would escalate through a company known for accountability, for example, Disney. The partial refund framed as a "courtesy" also comes across as performative when the core issues remain unaddressed. Customers shouldn't have to absorb the cost of operational shortcomings simply because management prefers to reinterpret them as guest "preferences." This feedback is not emotional, it's factual. I really wanted to like Timebox Escape Room, but unfortunately, we spent most of our time guessing what we might be looking at. The lighting was so bad our group of five had to share one flashlight, which made solving anything nearly impossible. The puzzles were confusing, and our game master, Maria Hernandez, gave hints that didn't help "look in the gray locker" would've been great if the entire room wasn't gray and if there was an actual locker in the room. Afterward, William Santiago, the owner, explained that the room was supposed to be played in near darkness with no flashlight only a neon flashlight. For $230, I was hoping for a fun challenge not a test of night vision. I'd recommend going somewhere that actually lets you see what you're doing. Or at least train competent people. read more

This was my second escape room and it did not disappoint. We did the Springfield Meltdown. Wonderfully decorated, fun and VERY challenging. We got out in 50 minutes, but needed many clues. We'll be back to try others. The guide was friendly. I think a team of 3-4 is best. read more

do not recommend. We went to this escape room to celebrate my sons birthday. He loves escape rooms and we have been to plenty. I will say this one was our biggest disappointment. They ruin the fun by being way too strict, in one of the occasions my daughter touched something else that wasn't part of the clue at the time and they asked her to put it back where it belongs. We have been to so many and able to freely roam and touch things without worrying where they go. They are watching you constantly and you can barely touch any of the props. Almost everything has the no touch signs on it. They don't allow you to have your phone ( we didn't care much but in the end they take a picture with there device instead of your own phone) didn't make me feel comfortable after the fact but it was too late and i was tired, didn't think much of it until after the fact. The rooms are very small. We did the spring field meltdown. It was so hard, we constantly had to ask for clues because we had no idea, this was by far the hardest escape room I've done. We finished it in about 30-40 minutes. A huge bummer, never coming again. I tried to ask for compensation and they only gave us 50% of our money back and blamed it on "policy". I would have been happier with a full refund or maybe offering us to come back another day and maybe try them out again. They only offered me 15% off our next visit. If you've done escape rooms you know they aren't cheap. Horrible expirience and bad customer service. read more

Was challenging and my 11 year old son really enjoyed it...the room was challenging and the tips from the hints (when we asked for assistance) were greatly appreciated! What a great escape room business. I've been here a few times and it's always a good time. Since Timebox is located in The Falls I like to book late at night, grab food at a nearby restaurant, go to the arcade, and then do the escape room--really make an event out of the occasion all revolving around the escape room. The escape rooms are fun, intricate, and are well thought out. Though different helpers each time, the "guy in the sky" giving hints is always helpful and a friendly body. In sum, I recommend this place as I've gone 3 times now and I plan on conquering the remaining rooms! read more

This might have been my favorite escape room we've done. How can you beat magic/Harry Potter themed? There were only 2 of us, which made it really difficult, but we still really enjoyed the intricacies of each room and the many puzzles to solve. Highly recommend this place and this room! Went there with my friend and it was okay! The room was very cool and good challenging, however, there was certain locks and number codes and items that were clearly supposed to be used in the future that we never got to use. Maybe the game master had us skip a few steps so that we would finish in time? I would have rather not finished but gone thru the steps properly. read more

I did the Doll Room and when I tell you I thought I was gonna pass out. We thought we were done and then boom a new room. We were screaming so loud. I apologize to our game master Isabel you are the best. There was so much to look at and so much to solve. It was super intricate.
