I'm in Yuma and it's a choppy service that's very weak. Even the terrible CenturyLink is better. I'm ethernet connected and the Spectrum service can't handle a livestream without breaking up and losing frames. That's not the totality of my observed issues, but it's the one that is affecting my workflow presently. Allo is hugely expensive and apparently not quite finished being installed in my neighborhood. There's no quality services in the area. Cable should be able to handle a livestream. Spectrum doesn't provide the service they claim, and they have no business charging for something that fails. Their customer service phone staff has a real bad attitude and are rude. Nothing they do merits the arrogance. The guy who initially came to my door a few years back lied, telling me that since Spectrum moved away from Time Warner that it was so much better, and like a brand new company. I had never heard anything but horror stories about Spectrum from NY to San Diego, but CenturyLink's constant issues made me want to believe that was in the past. 3+ years deep, and I can attest to the fact that it still is of very low quality, and the people you reach on the phone deny there's ever a problem, so basically their standard is extremely low by their assertion. read more

Tried to buy a phone and they told me the account is fraud locked. Funny when I called spectrum they told me the account t was fine and they had no idea what was going on. I went back to the "spectrum" store and told them and they said well there is nothing we can do. I said aren't you a spectrum store? They refused to help me or even offer to call the actual spectrum to help resolve the issue. The lady was rude and useless. I got more customer service from the 10 minute phone call than in the store. I also waited over an hour and a half to get told I can't buy a phone. Nothing but technical issues. First with the cable box. Intermittent TV service which couldn't be fixed even after 4 visits by various levels of technicians visiting the house. So I switched to Spectrum streaming TV service. Now intermittent internet service. 2 technicians came by and found nothing wrong. Finally spoke to a senior technical supervisor who diagnosed the problem with a "known issue" with my router and who will stop by tomorrow to install the new router. I asked if any technician could stop by and install the proper router and was told no, that it is a "special order". Really????? Why do you-Spectrum- even stock and use bad routers that need to be replaced by special order routers? And why don't your technicians know about these "known issues" with routers you provide?? I cannot tell you how many mistakes they have made and how many times I've had to call them. They have a lot in place to be great. The home service guys are great, the folks at the local office are great..... The auto phone service is great for internet or TV support....but when you need help from Costumer Service.....it sounds good on the phone....but after all your effort to go through their menu and wait....it doesn't work out in the long run....they mess up. That's where they are falling apart. The Costumer Service department. The latest mistake, they let my tenant turn on my internet account when she made it clear she wanted her own account. When will this place get less than a star or negative stars. This place should be Yelp's reason for such a change. Two receptionists from opening at 7am til around 10 with more than two hands full of customers waiting. Three more receptionists show up but go immediately on break. Terrible attention to customers. Show up here as soon as they open. I showed up at 9 and was 14 people behind the next person. Ridiculous. If you plan on installing it yourself after picking up the equipment to save the $40 installation fee, you should know that you still have to wait 48hrs after setting it up to actually have your service activated by a visiting technician. By the looks of this place and other reviews, it will probably be 72hrs or more. The sad thing is this is probably your best option. We'll see how my service goes and will update then. Not a good first impression. *Update* Decided to return my cable boxes. Not worth the poor quality of service, not HD very poor digital service. I used TWC for about a year only because their internet is probably the best in the yuma area. The service was ok as far as cable went, I had my cable out for about a month and they did nothing to reimburse me or to fix the problem so I canceled that service. The Internet was good for the time I had it. I give this company one star because they make me feel like an unimportant person waiting at the DMV. Why would I pay for a service that makes me feel that way? I'm in the "store" right now and have been waiting for well over an hour to just drop off a stupid internet modem. Seriously? My review is for the Yuma area. Their front-line employees are nice, but the company seems to have a BIG problem with follow-through and taking care of its customers. I put the blame on upper management, particularly the CEO. The Board of Directors needs to fire the CEO and put in someone who displays a top-down customer service/results oriented organizational culture. Why does it take so long to get through on the phone? This has been going on for a very long time. They should have hired more employees a long time ago. When I finally did get through, they assured me someone would be calling me back the next morning to set up an appointment to resolve my issue, but no one did (This happened twice). Again, the people I have come into direct contact with have been very nice, but what good are nice employees if they cannot get my cable/wifi problem resolved...If a rep comes on here to reply to my post, instead of apologizing, it would be more appreciated if you talked to your upper management about my post. read more

Amazed that this company values new customers more than loyal customers. Paid $200 a month for service that never worked. Going to the Yuma office is like hanging out in a bus station. Long wait times and rude staff. The woman who waited on me could not add even with a calculator. My wifi didn't work for 3 months and they gave me a lousy $9 credit. They now have a security guard who did nothing but sit behind a desk and play games on his cell phone. I switched to Direct TV and Pay $86 a month now. Avoid them at all costs. read more

"Broadcast TV Fee" increased by another $2.95 this month. "Small" increases have amounted to an approx. $30.00 increase in the past 12-18 months. Paid up for service until 19 November. Cable shut off a week early even though paid so they could offer reactivation fee and new cable deal for 38.00. no refund, no prorated. No apologies, just the way it is. Been cable customer for few decades never done dirty like this. Still love the internet from Spectrum. Like the professional people you talk to. I was fine when I had time warner, the customer service was great. Now that it's spectrum the customer service is CRAP! I was supposed to receive my internet and cable box today, Saturday March, 4th. Then hey change the date to Tuesday March 7th. The gentleman that I spoke to to get cable and internet for my new home guaranteed me that it was he cheapest and fastest way to get my internet on at home. He told me that if I had the cable men come out they would be able to come till next week. (I called to have this done Wednesday, March 1st). Spectrum has already charged me for internet and cable for the month. They said they would only give me $20 of next months bill which I this is absolutely absurd since I will now be a week without cable and internet. Yet I already paid for a full month. My mom has spectrum and her cable/internet was giving her problems. A tech came out to fix it. When he was done he told her he disconnected about 5 of the cable outlets we had and just left 3 hooked up. So now only one if the 3 bedrooms has cable. She called and spoke to a supervisor, who told her they'd come back out and hook them back up at no charge. When the tech came back he refused to do the work and said if we moved the tvs to another room they'd hook them up but they'd charge a fee. The tech was very smug and not helpful. It seems like spectrums policy is to disconnect your outlets and charge a ransom to restore them to working order. Spectrum was not the ones who hooked up the cable originally and had no right to do the changes they did without consent. My mom called spectrum again and encountered a woman who had an attitude and basically told my mom that's their policy and it's their service. read more

Wish I could give a "0" but I can't. I've been without phone service for 4 days and have had nothing but a run around. We started with them mid December, and were assigned a phone number. A day or so later we had no phone service. When we called their customer service, they said oops! That number was assigned to someone else. Ok...they got us a new phone number . We waited on the line and she called us back and sure enough we had service. Yay!!! Less than a week later we called a business and they asked to call us back....but the number on their call display was entirely different than what we were given (yes this happen to be the 3rd phone number). Well last week we had no phone servixe...it's been 4 days now and we have a family emergency. The technician came list last night and got the same run around we did. He's allowed 1 hour and his hour was up so he left and said "call the 800 number". And I said...how do we call without a phone???? My cell phone doesn't have international calling. Well he opened yet another ticket and perhaps this will be resolved in a few days, or maybe a week, or perhaps not! He wasn't sure and it wasn't his problem any more? Spectrum being the worst. STILL NO channel 11 & 13 since before the Superbowl & they are the 2 main local stations in Yuma. We are 79 & have to return equipment to their very busy office in town. Called to set up internet service and our appointment was never actually scheduled so on the day we're supposed to get service installed we're just waiting and no one shows up. If we would have never called, we would have never known that our appointment wasn't even scheduled by the person we spoke to. They would not even accommodate us for this inconvenience by trying to schedule us with a sooner appointment. We are now waiting an additional four days on top of the week we had already waited to get internet... I really wish we had more options for service in this area!!! read more

Will update as the weeks progress. We had TWC back in California and the service was awful, of course. But I'm reviewing the TWC in Yuma so here goes. We set up an appointment on Tuesday the 12th from 8-10 in the morning. I woke up early in case they came early and 3 hours later I received no phone call and no one came. Irritated, we called TWC and they claimed we set the appointment up on Friday. Never did the rep ever tell us Friday. The appointment was clearly set up for the morning on a Tuesday, but the person over the phone probably told us that to cover up some lazy no-show tech. Then he babbled on about how we matter and our satisfaction is their guarantee and set us up with an appointment for Wednesday after being on hold for half an hour. Lo and behold, someone showed up. He was courteous and very nice and ended up having to climb around in the attic to take out the 30 year old cords and replace them with new cords. The set up was quick (as quick as that can be) and tidy and a whole lot better than our last set up in California. We also got an Ubee modem over our old one from California, which is a huge improvement, not sure why we got a new one in Arizona but an old, crappy one in California. No doubt it contributed to our poor internet service. All is well so far, we have 57mb even though we pay for the ultimate package that guarantees 50mb. The trend is you'll have fast internet speeds for the first week and then it drops to zilch for the remainder of your contract with TWC. We'll see. I will mention we live in an apartment complex and we're 1 of 2 people in the entire place that have internet, and the houses around us aren't internet capable, which is what the tech told me. So that ought to mean we shouldn't experience downtime or slow internet. My words, not the tech's. You'll have terrible internet speeds if you live in an apartment complex or in a neighborhood where everyone else uses the same ISP. read more

When often fails you have to bring it in and wait in line for hours to get another substandard piece of equipment to replace it. Forces customers to frequently choose substandatd service for all tv options then jacks up prices to maintain it. The removes options and further increases prices. read more
