The most untrained employees I've ran into at any Verizon store. If one simple question had been asked of me I wouldn't be locked out of Apple for 5 days. I manage 8 employees through an app and because of inexperience and lack of for thought I can access it. In fact the young lady's response to me was. You should know your password. I do but I have many and use an app to keep track of them. She could have taken a different path but chose to make it the customers fault. I hope this makes it to management and something gets done. I went in to see what deals there were so I'd be able to get the new Z Fold 7. As I owe money on my iPhone, I saw a deal that said I can pay $220 to get to 50% of payments on the phone to be able to get the Z Gold 7. I mentioned that to one of the workers and he told me I was wrong, and that I could only buy another iPhone. I walked out that day upset and empty handed. A friend of mine works at another Verizon and told me that the worker lied to me and that it doesn't matter which phone I get. With that information, I went and paid that $220 and pre ordered the new Z Fold 7 online. Employees would retain a lot more customers if they were honest and didn't try to make their customers spend more money so they could profit more money off of us. I'm considering switching to Mint Mobile that's how infuriating this situation was. read more

I got a gray wifi box from Foothills V store... I didn't want any add on... Was told because I am already a GOOD customer...it will be just 35.00 a month just like the 1 at home.. I checked bill on line.. I am getting charged $100.00.. We are getting charged for Netflix..which i have told them now twice I don't want it... I failed to include a warranty/insurance on my newly purchased phone and "what do you know" after an extended period of time I dropped it once too many and the screen cracked/ doesn't work right. I bought it back knowing anything short of buying another phone they couldn't do anything about it. They did however, give me some pointers and directed me to a nearby "fix-it" store that might better suit my needs...a little something is better than nothing! I returned a few days later hoping they could change the SIM card from the broken phone to my older model, and they did it on the spot; (yes, I could've done it myself, but it's always been my impression that those "with a particular set of skills" can accomplish the feats better and faster than I can, so why not?). Great customer service. Still my favorite Verizon store. read more

I purchased a phone and plan online. When I went to pick it up, I told the salesman I didn't want to be billed for any additional services. He said that I could get more data for free "because you get one free add-on." He didn't show me the amount I would be billed (I should have insisted but they should do so voluntarily). When I later checked the bill online, I saw two services including the data plan that were $10/ea per month that I neither wanted nor authorized. These guys are super sleazy. Wells Fargo got busted for doing the same type of thing--adding on charges that customers didn't request. What a horrible company. Watch these guys like a hawk. They are lying predators. Ask for a printout of what you will be billed for before getting out of that vipers' pit. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in the service I have received from Verizon. I purchased a WiFi Hotspot from the company store in Yuma Az yesterday with the assurance that with Verizon's 5g network we would receive good connectivity. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are in Yuma AZ The hotspot indicates between 2 and 4 bars of connection with your towers. We can do barely anything with this service. Speed testing indicates usually between .08 and .17 mgbs. We don't require much. 2-3 mgbs would be sufficient. I don't understand why when we visit foreign 3rd world countries, recently Mexico and Bolivia, we are provided with great service in rural areas and cities. Here in the USA, paying far more for the service, and being within the city of Yuma, we get this dismal service. We returned to the store, they did give us a new SIM card, because according to the manager, the original one was of the "old" variety. The hotspot provides excellent connection in the commercial area of Yuma, but where we are living, still within the city limits, you provide absolutely no value for what we are paying. Number #1 company? Definitely not here in Yuma Arizona. read more

I remembered Saray as being very helpful with someone new to the latest technology, but can't remember the name of the guy that helped on our repeat visit. Very efficient and saved us some money. We recently went here to upgrade my phone. Walked in, put my name in and waited all of 3 minutes maybe. I don't remember who helped us, but he was friendly, and I told him what I was looking at and he wasn't pushy or anything for a different phone. He just went over the options for all the available iPhones and when I told him which one I wanted, he went back and brought it right out. It's the first Verizon store I've been in that actually has a bunch of products in stock. We were barely in there an hour. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and efficient. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service and workmanship. I wanted to switch over to Verizon after paying off my phone at T-Mobile. They got me to buy a new phone after saying that my S7 Edge would not transfer. Or rather, that the S7 Edge would transfer, just not my model. I mean, what even IS that? When I called the manager to get some answers I was pretty much told sorry, not sorry. Nothing we can do ma'am. Later I realized I had not received a phone call in 2 weeks because the Yuma Verizon employees did not bother to make sure they used the right account number to open a port to move me over from T-Mobile. I sure hope I didn't miss any important calls because of their idiocy. I will go all the way to the Verizon store in Calexico before I step foot in the Yuma store again. read more

When I walked in I was greeted, my name was written down, and I was told that it would be a 25-30 minute wait. I asked, "a 25-30 minute wait?" ... and she replied by asking "is that okay?" When is it ever acceptable to have a paying customer wait 30 minutes for service? Medical Doctors might be able to get away with it on a regular basis (which is also ethically debatable), but there seems to be something just as bad [if not worse] with a phone company doing it. read more

The wait times here are crazy ridiculous. The customer service is also seriously lacking. The last time I came in, I was waiting to "sign-in" with the person at the door who was talking to another employee right in front of me, not even acknowledging me. Then, another woman came in behind me and the "sign-in" employee completely bypasses me and signed in the woman who came in AFTER me, still not acknowledging me! When I politely told her that I came in before that woman, she very rudely told me to "sit down and wait my turn" and went back to talking to another employee. That was seriously the LAST straw for me. This store needs a serious management and training overhaul. Waiting 30-45 minutes for rude, condescending employees is not good business. read more

A lot of people have had horrible experiences at this Verizon it seems like. Fortunately I have not. Yes the wait times are pretty long usually but it's not their fault people have a lot of questions. I always see the floor full of verizon reps helping customers, it's not like they are just standing around. So as long as you have patience and go in at a time when you don't need to rush, it's great. I recently went in to this store to add another line and I got a representative who was definitely new. He took quite some time to get through the whole process and then ended up making a huge mistake that was a big ordeal.. People make mistakes though. Everyone does it so why blow up about it? The Verizon crew jumped right on it and corrected everything and then gave me additional incentives for the inconvenience. That's all I could ask for and more! I think this Verizon is super awesome and would definitely go back. I think some people might just need to calm down and realize that mistakes get made and stuff happens. We have 6 devices on our Verizon account and pay around $350.00 monthly for service. About 3 months ago my wife and I bought 2 new Samsung Galaxy 5 phones and a Samsung tablet at a Verizon store. Since then I have had problems with my battery lasting through the day (~7:00 AM to ~ 11:00 PM). I don't use any streaming services such as Pandora or any videos. My wife's phone has a problem where the screen goes dark before she can get her fingerprints in or use her alternative password even though the screen timeout is set at 10 minutes. So today we decide to visit the Verizon store in Palms Shopping center in Yuma to try and get help with these issues. When we walk in the greeter (?) Paul ask how he could help us so I ask about the poor battery life on my phone. He, without looking at my phone, said all smart phones Verizon sells have battery lives that "suck". His own smart phone will only last 6 hours without charging. I said that didn't match with the claims that the Verizon salesman had made selling the phone or the specs Samsung made about the phone. He again said all smartphone battery life suck and that's just the way it is. I ask him to put that in writing and sign it which he refused to do. So I'm not impressed so far but we ask about the problem with my wife's phone. He said that was a probably a problem with the latest Samsung update and that customers should never download updates because they always cause problems. Again I ask him to put that writing and sign which he again refused. Well since Paul seemed so sure his answers to my concerns were appropriate I suggested he and I walk around the store and share his comments with some of the customers considering buying phones and devices. Paul refused to do so and went to another Verizon rep, Ernesto, for help. Ernesto who is ~6 foot and maybe 280 had about the same responses to our complaints as Paul and said I shouldn't be condescending in asking for Verizon reps to say things they refuse to put in writing and sign. I ask to see the specs for the Samsung Galaxy 5 in reference to battery life and help in checking my phone to see what the problem with battery life could be. Ernesto said he didn't have Samsung"elves" in the back and couldn't help me. And I"M being CONDESCENDING? At this point he started telling me I would be thrown out of the store. I said go ahead. He didn't but said he would call the police. I said go ahead but again he didn't. So in steps another Verizon with his name Marco on a tag saying manager. He is most intent on "throwing me out", "escorting me out", calling the police but the closest he got was walking toward the door like I was a leash trained dog that was just going to follow. When I told him i was not leaving without force he finally gave me a number to call Samsung. I tried 6 times while in the store and got the same "all circuits are busy" recording each time. Maybe the Samsung elves have the lines tied up??? With more persuading he printed the specs for my phone. Quoting now: Usage time - up to 27 hours, Standby time - up to 20 days. So my phone is charged every night to 100% in the morning. I get about 3-4 calls daily and average talk time is ~3 minutes. I mostly use phone as a calculator at work maybe once an hour for one - two minutes. No streaming music or video. So whats going on here Marco. "Maybe we can order you a new battery, the phone is in warranty. And whats wrong with my wife's phone Marco? "Sounds like she needs a new phone". So after an hour of insults, threats, ignorance, rudeness, and indifference to our concerns now you want to do something?. Every Verizon employee says call Samsung. Here's the number. What do we get? "all circuits are busy. I have been with Verizon for more than 10 years here in Yuma. These devices are represented as the best there is when your buying and that they suck when you have a problem. Go call the manufacture! When is the behavior appropriate for any business? My impression has always been that Verizon had the best coverage in this area but I don;t think the memory of this experience will allow me to make another $350 monthly payment to Verizon. Maria helped us with an unusual request today and we are so incredibly appreciative. Two days ago, Jesse helped us upgrade 2 phones, one of which was for our special needs aunt. He was very helpful and patient with her. At that time, we turned in several old phones for donation. Well, it turns out we shouldn't have turned in one of the old phones. where do i begin...how about i purchased 3 asus phones this past mother's day, oh yes, 3 so what's that we'll now it's 7 months but i have been waiting for my phones to be fixed for weeks now. well just got off the phone with asus. let me tell you, what a bunch of bull....verizon took the phones out of the cases looked them over for dsmage, there wasn't any. oh get this ...asus sent me pictures showing the phone screen cracked...yes cracked. well they werent. now they want 319.20 for each phone for repairs. i don't think so, not only that, there was crud on the phones. i used an alcohol cloth and wipe my phone down, wrapped them carefully in a paper, placed them in a video size box, with plactice bags all around that box inside another box and now they tell me the phones are cracked! i would have to be cracked to even purchase another phone from verizon who never helped me st all when these are exclusive verizon phones. all verizon is worried about is the money, don't care one bit about helping you at all. asus said verizon was to send them in. nope, they won't even do that! and i paid for their lossy warranty too, bunch of bull there also. pay every month, then nail you a fee when you have a claim, then send you a refurbished piece of crap. talk about a scam.... read more

The reason I try and avoid Verizon is because of this store. I have a MIFI (wireless hotspot) that seems to break every couple of months. This time the internal connection piece came partially out as I was unplugging it. I waited 40 minutes to talk to a tech (come on open another damn store in YUMA!) and she told me I must have done something abusive to the machine. What? Why? So I could wait almost an hour to get another piece of crap mifi? I told her that wasn't the case and she said she'd get the store manager and let him decide. She brings him over and says look at this, I think she abused this mifi. Well, that certainly is letting the manager decide! He looked at it and said, give her another one. She grabbed it and slammed it down and got me another one. Gee thanks Verizon for letting me pay 50 bucks a month for something I have to continually return and be verbally abused for. Seriously, if I'm going to wait that long, could you at least treat me with respect? Verizon, pay attention because I have talked to others that feel the same way. Too bad too because I would have loved to use them I get great reception, but that customer service and wait time is outrageous. I sure hope Consumer Cellular works in Yuma. read more

Went in to upgrade my husbands phone. The Rep did not ask if we wanted to trade in the phone that he was uses. We got the new iPhone 11 Max Pro, when coming back with the new phone the Rep offered us "deals" on the new iPad for only 10 a month when I asked about how much the data plan was on that he said it would be 20. So the "deal" is for 30 a month..(check the fine print). Once we said no the deals that he was offering he put the new phone in a bag and handed it to us. He didn't take it out of the box to show us. Did offer to activate the phone with us. When I asked if we were doing it at home? (sarcastically) my husband wait a few moments before saying I guess so. At the end of the day the phone was not activated from the store we had to call 4 different customer service agents and it took 6 hours.... just because we didn't get any of the "offers" and we were taking up too much of the Reps time. This def makes us not want to be Verizon Customers which I've for 18 years. read more

You would be foolish to buy Verizon Wireless data in Yuma, AZ in the winter. The speeds are so slow most of the time that it makes a dial up connection look fast. I have called Verizon many times over the years they have always made excuses for the slow speeds. I have explained to them that the speeds are very good when the winter visitors are not here but they have never comprehended that this is a seasonal problem. I have an unlimited use plan that I'm not willing to loose so I will just have to endure the pain of 0.03 Mbps. Buyer Beware. read more

My husband and I just got new iPhones last week. I was a little apprehensive about going to this Verizon store because of the bad reviews it's received but we had nothing but a great experience. First, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and asked our names and what we needed. Then we were told that someone would be with us in a minute. Sure enough, Melissa came and greeted us right away. She asked us a few questions and we told her what we wanted. She took us over to sit down and she showed where she could save us money, broke down our bill, and clearly explained everything to us. She was sweet, helpful, professional, and thorough. We were in and out with our new phones in hand within maybe 40 mins. We couldn't have asked for better service. read more

This complaint is about Jaime, the manager at the Verizon store in Yuma AZ. I went into the Yuma store to pick up my phone after ordering it on line. I was told I would have to wait 20-25 minutes. That part was very accurate as I waited 25 minutes. I then found out that the person that took my order on line messed up the order and it was being shipped to me instead. Unacceptable after having to wait on line to place the order and then another 25 minutes in the store. They then called customer service and waited another 15 minutes on hold to speak with someone to cancel the order so I could start the whole process over again so i could get the new phone today in store. Went through the process and got to the end and the employee says they have to keep my old phone in order to get the new one. What kind of crap is that? I wasn't trading it in and was paying full price for the new one. I asked to speak with the manager (Jamie, yes it was a guy) and he said that was store policy and if I wanted the new phone I would have to give him the old one. I told him that was bullshit and the customer service rep I talked to in the morning never said anything about that. Jaime the manger said I couldn't use that language in his store, I said okay, he then said you know what? better yet just get out of my store. He said I could not speak to the district manager who was in the store at the time and proceeded to tell me I had to leave the store. So not wanting this insecure power hunger kid to call the police and create a scene, I left. Needless to say I filed a formal complaint with Verizon about this manager and his store. I really hope Verizon sees that treating loyal customers this way is the surest and fastest way to lose loyal customers. Do yourself a favor and if you are coming from out of town or are in town, take care of all your Verizon needs on line or in a different town. Or better yet just switch to a different carrier. Maybe this manager will realize that the economy is no longer what it used to be and he might start leaning more towards customer service rather than fueling his ego. read more
