Normally, we are not Best Buy people but this recent transaction just may have made us change our minds. We were looking for a specific microwave for a replacement. Home Depot had it but it was a little difficult trying to get it ordered. So, we gave up and decided to check out Best Buy. The microwave was not only in stock but it was cheaper. Thus, we ordered it and went down to pickup it. We spent a whole 5 minutes in the store and had the microwave loaded for us a few minutes later. Had we dealt with Home Depot we would still be waiting for it to be shipped. Great transaction and good folks. The only bad part was if it wanted it fast, we had to go get it. Great transaction tho'. My phone hasn't been working too well lately and I decided with it being Black Friday weekend to take a look at getting a new iPhone. I picked one out and Misael helped me get it all set up. I was there for about an hour, but he was super helpful and had great customer service. He made great recommendations and even mentioned a promotion for a new Apple Watch that was too good not to add to my order. I had previously lost my watch and with the promotion of it basically being free, it was a no-brainer. Bought Frigidaire gas oven which was leaking gas had southwest gas come out and confirm gas leak so went to Best Buy and switched out oven. My fault trying to make it easy and switch out for same oven Model NO FCRG3052BSG. When switched out for same oven the second one was leaking gas as well. This time Best Buy wouldn't let me return the oven cause there was a part on recall from frigidaire that was making the oven leak. I have been trying to schedule Frigidaire manufacture to come out and service my oven quickly but the keeping missing appointment through there third party Appliance Service Center. Frigidaire keeps telling me a technician needs to come out and wait for the part to come to service the oven. Whole process takes weeks going through multiple people and they're trying to repair oven instead of giving me a refund for an oven model that has leaked twice. read more

I feel like dealing your tech support/ Geek Squad is an extremely frustrating process served with a heaping scoop of maximum inconvenience. So for the sake of brevity I'll keep it short. When you have an issue with your computer you can just walk in drop it off and have them call you when it ready. No! You have to make an appointment just to drop it off. You can't call on the phone to make this appointment because they don't answer the phone, and when you try to do it on line I have found that it's not very straightforward. That means I have to physically drive over there from the Foothills just to make an appointment for an appointment. And then when you try and express your concerns to the people behind the counter. You get deadpan faces or rather rude and aloof attitudes. Just the kind of experience that makes me avoid Best Buy altogether. And I get that they couldn't care less whether I bring my business there or not. I don't anticipate that this is anything they are going to fix. I'm already looking for alternatives for tech-support anyway. But this my experience with them. read more

I spent over $3700.00 on a Mac Book Pro and an iPad try to setup my laptop Apple has locked me out of my account not only once but for the third time again today. So now thanks to the incompetence of the Geek Squad because this all started last Thursday when the Geek Squad came to my house in Yuma I now have to wait until I get an email or text message from Apple giving me permission and directions how to recover my account. Best Buy/Geek Squad. Hmmm. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I took one computer in to Geek Squad. I signed up for the $200.00 subscription. I had a new solid state drive installed. It took a couple of days, but getting it back took a week. So, when I went to get it I took in another computer. It took about 3 weeks. So, the results are inconsistent. But, I went back with a 3rd computer. There's nothing they can do. I'm at a loss. So, that's why the 3 star rating. They are inconsistent. read more

I went to Best Buy the other day and thought I could always get a good deal on printer ink. Standard for my printer I was in High Spirits when I got home I found out that it was the wrong size a 902 instead of 901 for HP printer. I went back the next day in hopes that I could return it even though I opened the top of the box just to see if it was the right one. Customer service said they could not take it back because I opened the top of the box. I was in like total shock. What happened to good customer service has it flown out the window? most of the Associates were cold and unfriendly. I wasted over $50.00 just on the ink!! I made my appointment to drop off my phone for a screen repair. I was there promptly at 4 pm when the customer service rep from geek squad told me that even though my repair only takes 30 minutes - to an hour that they still couldn't guarantee that my phone would be done by the end of the day because they closed at 6. If i would of known this up front when making my schedule appointment i would of done an earlier time. I just find it ridiculous that i had to drive from 30 minutes away then to find out i had to come back the next day to pick up my phone. Absolutely some of the worst customer service I have ever received. Ordered the i pro tablet from them on the 25th. I travel the country, it wasn't in stock so they had to order it. Assured me it would be here on the 6th. Walked in the store to pick it up Monday the 7th. The lady at the store pick up counter couldn't find it under my name or phone. After standing there for 5 min. I told the lady, can't you look it up under the card I used. Boom, comes up, looks for my tablet which is not there. Goes to get someone to see what's going on. Stood there for approx 30 min. The guy comes up and says your tablet was never ordered. They truly acted like this was my problem!! No apologies nothing! Keep in mind I stayed here just for this an extra week. Finally got my refund! I would highly recommend going somewhere else. Truly surprised they are still in business. They'll never get my business again. They gave me a deliver window of 12:00-4:00 and, at 4:15 I call the store to inquire as to where my TV was. I was told by Monica that it was "in transit" and that they would call with an update. When I asked when I would be called and when I should expect my TV, she said I was being "surly". I bought a Jitterbug phone online back in December as a Christmas gift for my Mom. Knowing that Best Buy does not have a customer-friendly return policy, I took special note of the advertised policy on their website when I bought the phone that stated the return policy for this particular cell phone item was until Jan 16 (Due to the holidays). I ended up needing to return the phone and came into the store on Friday, Jan 14. The employee told me it was outside of the 14 day return window. I explained to him what their website said. He did not deny it, but told me they could not honor it. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager would not follow their stated policy either. He told me I could call corporate. Ordered two security rings was told I would get them on the 29th of last month. No call from them at all so I went to see what's going on. I was told they are back ordered till June 5th. When I talked to the manager Kenneth about why they haven't call to inform me. He said once you buy it it's out of are hands. I just returned a Nokia phone after less than 2-weeks of very light use without any defects, technical or otherwise. Still, the Customer Service Rep immediately started tilting the phone at different angles and then asked me if I had dropped it. I told him 'No' and that I kept it in my right front pocket with nothing else. He stated he noticed fine surface scratches that were not visible to me but he said he could not take it back. His inspection seemed well rehearsed and wasn't at all objective. I asked for the manager and he immediately became defensive as he walked over to the manager. They talked as they gave each other a 'wink and nod' after which the manager approached and said, "You must have allowed your keys to scratch it". He also said that I should have used a case (which I did) but again, there were no visible defects that any fair-minded person would have noticed. It was quite obvious this was a canned response and nothing less. He told me they could not resale it as new which anyone with half a brain knows they can't resell any phone as new once it's been sold and used even for 2-minutes. Neither one of these guys ever looked inside the packaging to verify if the charger, and documentation was intact so this whole process was nothing more than a shakedown. He told me that my story was hard to believe regarding how I carried the phone. I have no idea where that came from since I told them I was returning the phone simply because the volume was too soft for me to hear. After a bit more discussion the manager backed off and offered me a store credit. I begrudgingly accepted the offer in lieu of a refund in order to end the manager's disparaging remarks in the presence of other customers. Bottom Line: Best Buy of Yuma and its agents did not act in good faith in accordance with their own corporate policy regarding product returns. To say they were rude would be an understatement. If this is their idea of loss-mitigation then the only thing' they lost was me as a long-time customer. The manager and his underling worked very hard to ensure that I will never buy from Best Buy in the future. As a 30+ year resident of Yuma and a retired elderly man I'm not accustomed to being referenced as a liar by a store manager. read more

I purchased a new sterio for my van which connected to a dvd player. They completely messed up the install , as a matter of fact after brining it back to them 3 different times changing out parts each time they then informed me that is was not possible to install this sterio into my van and told me basically tough luck. A 700 dollar sterio is incorrectly installed in my van now that I have to pay someone else to install it correctly if I want it to work. read more
