First time and the customer service was super helpful and very nice. They had a great selection of what I needed but in the wrong size. We needed longer paddles being so tall for stand up paddle boarding. Seems to be a good place though for sporting goods though. read more

Had a scope mounted on one of my Rifle, Ken in the Guns Dept performed the installation. Awesome job balancing and boresighting on a Light 50 BMG. On a side note, thought I lost the front sight, Brandon and Ken tried to find. My bad, it was integrated onto the rail, if you don't look closely. I did keep it low key just calling Brandon in the Guns dept, who called me back and advised Ken and Brandon looked all over the shop. I'll be bringing lunch over :). Fishing department staff is outstanding!! Had an issue with a reel that I spent hours on trying to fix and everyone else in town said send it back to the manufacturer, chris in the fishing department said bring it by and he would look at it and ended up spending a good 30mins with me and some tools just trying to figure it out and he nailed it! spent a few minutes looking at a Glock 19 magazine then decided I wanted to see how it would fit in a g26 walked to the counter asked him if he was familar with the fit of the 19 and the 26 and he looks straight up from his phone to tell me we don't have that. as I look behind me to see the magazine I say I think you do he tells me I would need to get it online. the issue is, I was just asking a question. not about where it was or if I could buy it. Horrible customer service. I had an order cancelled due to a "payment verification issue". Spoke to a customer service representative who assured me the issue would be resolved within 48 hours. My order is still cancelled and the charge is still showing up on my credit card. Incredibly disappointed with this company. Don't waste your money buying anything from their website. read more

Called to talk to customer service about a return on a broken fishing pole. We only had the pole a couple weeks because it took so long for it to arrive in the mail, but because it had been purchased 30 days ago online they would not do anything to help. I indicated that we had only had it two weeks and broke immediately upon using it. I felt that their policy should be from when the item arrives, not purchased, due to the fact that the mail is so unreliable at times. This is easy for them to see based off of the tracking numbers. The lady who helped me first was unfriendly and not willing to help make it right. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she put me on hold for about ten minutes only to return and tell me there was no one who could help me. She told me I could try back later, and I asked her if I could leave my number and have someone call me when they were available. She took my number and I waited over six hours. After no one called me back I decided to call again and the lady I spoke to for the second time was a lot more friendly and gave a refund for the broken item. Over all, we are happy about the outcome but they definitely made us work for it. I wasn't demanding a refund, but just wanted some sort of willingness on their part to make the situation right. read more

Went to Sportsman's during our annual dove trip. Decided to buy some clay targets and was floored they are charging $35 per box. Never ever paid close to that and asked if this is the going rate everywhere. Was told yes--supply chain, labor, etc. and ended up buying them. Went to Walmart later that night and saw the EXACT same box of clay targets for $10. What a rip off. Been coming to Yuma for 39 years and will never ever come to Sportmans again. Ridiculous. If I could do 0 stars I would, went in there to buy a gun and the guys behind the counter stood there debating about elections for 10 mins before acknowledging us standing in front of them, one employee said to the other "can you take him?" (There's no one else but my husband in line) because he didn't want to help him and the other employee said "no I have to do something" to just walk away and sit down. We purchased a Furman generator 9 days ago. It stopped working 3 days ago on Christmas Eve. Oil had leaked out due to a faulty gasket or a cracked head. We returned to the Yuma store and were told by the young man in Customer Service that there are no returns on opened merchandise. How were we to determine that the generator didn't work if we hadn't opened the box? A very stupid policy. Furthermore, the customer service person suggested that we get it repaired and sell the unit to someone else and come back to purchase a Honda generator. That was very unethical of him to recommend that we sell a flawed unit to someone else. How deep do the lack of ethics run in that store and the organization as a whole? He seemed to lack any interest in our plight, stating that we had a very expensive door stop. Wow!!!! What a hugely disappointing experience. Professional helpful employees all at Sportsman Warehouse. Careful if you buy Winchester brass for reloading. Of the 50 there was 22 with damaged necks and case opening. Some smashed beyond use. I like the store, like the professional customer service. Not happy with substandard reloadable brass. If Winchester cannot supply quality brass recommend not selling it. read more

I went into the hunting section and was helped by a lovely lady who was very sweet and helpful. During the transaction she had needed help and asked this man Kevin (an assistant manager I'm guessing) for help. He told her she needed to ask a manager and she replied "but you are the manager". To which he responded "yes but I'm a very busy one. You need to find someone else" he then continued to belittle, make fun of and basically harass this poor woman right In front of me! To the point where she was almost in tears! All she was doing was trying to help me and just had a question! I couldn't believe someone in a management position would treat an employee this way! Especially someone who was just doing there job. I feel so sorry for that woman, and I hope he's ashamed of how he treated her. Despite my wonderful experience with this lady, I will not be returning to this store because of the behavior from the management I witnessed today. Went to the store today with my wife to buy a knife for my dad for Christmas. The guy at the knife counter didn't even acknowledge us. He was helping another customer while we stood there for about 10-15 minutes. Other customers came and got tired of waiting and walked away. We ended up getting frustrated and ordering the same knife online for less money. I understand he was helping a customer but to not even say hello and that he'd help us in a minute, or offer to let us see something out of the display while we waited was disappointing. I've bought firearms there before and got good customer service. This particular employee needs more training or something. read more
